All Elijah could do was shrug when Claudio continued to be unsure of himself. At that point there wasn't much Elijah could do about it. "I'm sure there's people who will make their new Quirks your problem." He twirled a finger at the space around them but, remembering he was invisible, picked up a chopstick and spun it in his hand before tossing it in the air so it went visible and catching it again. "I'm waiting for knives to fly at our faces."

He hummed. "Fair. You really don't put stock in their words. But that doesn't prevent you from saying those words in the first place does it?" Elijah stretched his arms in the air, breathing in as he did so. "You care too much about what other people think."

Elijah glanced between the two, the cloud on the verge of falling with the way he was sitting, while the currently-not-teleporting girl was shoving sushi in her mouth and staring at the table. "Unfortunate. Hopefully you won't starve. If this becomes permanent though, I'm sure you'll learn not to disappear so you can eat regularly again."

But right, there was the crisis that happened before the whole psychic power saga started. The invisible freshman's face soured at the memory. "Cuts and bruises. A popped shoulder. Nothing too bad all things considered." He eyed the precariously positioned cloud. "You really did just punch it in the face as your first reaction." Ah. Wait. He still couldn't be seen, so he placed the chopstick down so it blinked back into existence, thin side pointing at Claudio.

Then a sigh as Emilia showed her gratitude once again, but for something more serious than rice and fish. He's not used to being thanked; all he could do was default to his shrug that no one would see. "Thank you too I guess. If you didn't turn to stone I would've been dead. You as well Bernardo, for kicking that woman."

heheThe cloud didn't consider it wrong to say these things, much in the same way that it's not innately wrong to critique anything, but on the matter of meaningful contribution, he didn't suspect his words to be authoritative in any regard, especially not for something that he should have, and rightfully so, no basis from which he should comment. Even as the words had come from him, he'd felt they slipped off his tongue before his lips had the chance to catch them.

heheBut, more importantly than the manner with which he spoke and the conciseness thereof, was the chaos of that day. Where Emilia had been bloodied, beaten within an inch of her life, and Elijah had sustained his fair share of wounds through the explosions and collapses, Claudio had received little such wounds. Though he'd bruised his knuckles and the flats of his hands, he'd healed quickly; he'd done more damage to himself than the titan ever could.

heheBut, by comparison to his classmates, he got off easy. Even Shion had been wounded, despite his swift deftness, beyond what he should have. And more so than his body, the cloud saw what scars now ran deep in him — much as the other two likely felt, he imagined.

Her eyes strained as she continued to focus on the food in an almost comical fashion with how much she was concentrating. She likely didn't need to go this far with it, but she figured it was better to be safer than sorry! "I sure hope we don't deal with any flying knives I don't have my usual toughness to deal with that." that was a whole other can of worms she may have hated the weight gain that came from her quirk but the steel skin was a fantastic perk. She wouldn't even be alive without it.[break][break] Emi would break away from her trance to listen to what both the boys had to say. They were both exceedingly kind and she couldn't be more thankful for that. Heck, even hearing the details of what happened was throwing her for a bit of a loop. Everyone had a different viewpoint from the battle that occurred and unfortunately for Emi she was unlucky enough to be mostly incapacitated for the fight. Even when she finally came to the first thing she asked about were the others, aside from Elijah who was put up in the same room as her. She drew the short straw but was honestly thankful enough that no one in their group died. "I'm so glad you're both alive and Shion too." she hadn't gotten to talk to him yet but from what she heard he wasn't as injured as the rest of them. "I hope that we get to work together again but hopefully not against something like that giant golem." she'd look up "Besides my roommates were able t-" and with that she blinked and was gone. Elijah nodded, finally seeing Claudio's true intention with his first reaction to the golem. "I see. Unfortunately, people are stupid and don't look beyond the action itself." Not that he was any better, for he too thought Claudio just punched the thing thinking it would have a lasting effect. It did, but he assumed the cloud was trying to hurt the golem and not just stun it into stopping. "You punch and throw things. Do both too much and it'll be all you're known for. I suggest having some tools on you if you wish to be seen as capable of more. Even if what other people think doesn't matter to you, it wouldn't hurt to have more options available." But he had a feeling Claudio did think it mattered. Why mention how others made him sound stupid otherwise?

"Right. You saw her. I was blind throughout that part, so I couldn't see anything." He crossed his arms and looked down. "I felt it though. The weight of her just went away after everything." A sigh escaped him too.

He looked up again when Claudio moved to depart, eyeing him curiously but ultimately raising a hand to wave. "See you. Maybe you'll see me next time if this is temporary." And between his leave and Emilia's sudden departure, he was alone again. He glanced at the sushi, unfinished as the girl abandoned it when she teleported away. Another sigh escaped him as he pushed it away from himself.

He was no longer hungry.
