Kei frowned at just how dejected Jun looked after he more or less chastised her in front of the orphan. Yep, definitely too harsh on her. "Sorry," he whispered, guilt evident on his face. He'll give a better apology once they're going back to the campus.

As for the preteen herself, he sighed. This was going to be difficult. And as much as he would love to let her go and be done with the interaction, he couldn't leave her while she was still so angry. What if the club tried to get to her again? The altercation would just repeat itself, and they couldn't just come here every single time something came up.

So Kei made his way to the door before the girl did and stood before it while he faced her, blocking her exit as casually as he could. "It does though. Why won't you be here long?" He chose to ignore the well wishes bit. That part wasn't important.

She would attempt to force herself past Kei, clearly done with the interaction. Jun scrunched her face up in thought, looking over at Kei and let out a sigh. "Let's leave her be for now," she says, not wanting to do anymore damage. She stepped closer to him, whispering, "I think, for now, she's not gonna cause trouble. We're gonna be here for a few hours, so we can keep our ear to the ground...deal with those other troublemakers at the very least. We...I clearly have to do a course correction there..." There was a lot that had happened since the last time they were there, and this girl was only one part of the developments. As much as she didn't want to leave well enough alone, she had learned the hard way that pushing when things are agitated is just a good way to add to the mess at hand. Kei Hada

"Goodideaactuallyhaveaniceday-" were the flurry of words Kei would spit out in response, winded by the shove but otherwise letting the 'firecracker' through, making no further attempts at extending her stay. That was enough confrontation for him today. But something tells him that wasn't going to be the last of it.

Case and point, Jun's reminder that they'll be here all day. The support major couldn't help the groan that escaped him. "Really would've preferred to just clean up the place." At least then he'd keep to himself and stay away from trouble. But Jun had him join her for a reason, so he shook his head when she spoke about handling the situation on her own. "Hey- you asked me to come here so I'm with you on this okay? I wanna help."

He raised a hand to run it through his hair as he looked down the hall, sighing. "Should we search for the other girls now then? I'm still surprised Hayami's the one leadin' that Brigade thing."

I'm responsible for it, and have to be accountable for my actions. I don't remember being that impressionable when I was a kid like that..." Except for the fact that Jun was in fact impressionable like that. "If you want, though, we can divide and conquer. I take care of the troublemakers, you deal with the cleaning? Maybe I can bring the kids in to help since I'm sure they've helped in the mess in some way?" It wasn't a bad idea to force penance on them. Kei laughed a bit. "Well, they're kids. You saw how excited they were when we first came here. They even thought I was a hero student." He rested his hands on his hips with a sigh. "But now they're goin' on policin' everyone... At least we know what they wanna be when they grow up?" he offered with a crooked smile. Something something, silver lining. The kids had good heads on their shoulders. They just needed to know how to use them right.

That sounded insulting. Good thing he only thought it.

His brows went up at his friend's suggestion before they furrowed in concern. "You sure you can handle 'em on your own? Not that I don't think you could- but I had to restrain one of 'em." He nibbled his toothpick at the memory. To the ceiling. "If you can, I'll go to Hiryu-san. You can ask her where she sent me when you get the girls."

Though now I have to figure out how to temper their zeal..." Jun was putting herself in a position where life was going to get harder. One of a teacher and not anything else. She wasn't sure of herself, but the only thing she could do was try, and that had to be enough. "I should be able to manage for now. They just need a little correction." She pulled her hair back, nodding. "I'll catch up with you when I can then. I shouldn't be long. I hope." And with that she set off to her self-appointed mission. Kei Hada
