I'm lazy af, so I'm throwing anything and everything in here to keep track of instead of having individual things.

A short tl;dr of me: I'm everyone's favorite asshole. Yes, including yours (you just don't know it yet). I code for a living (primarily Angular/Typescript), I miss legacy Star Wars, and I purchase books faster than I can read them. I help run a Westmarches server set in Remnant, the world of RWBY, using an ever expanding and changing homebrew of 5e that I fail to keep up with (it messes up many of my games), and apart from that I like long walks on the beach and throwing pennies off skyscrapers.

Part 1: Characters

Junsuina Kanjo (AKA: Mood Ring)

Jun is a student within UAU who is a lot of things: anxious, self-conscious, doesn't feel like she belongs or amounts to anything, and can summon the very spirit of battleships. Shortcomings aside, she hails from humble origins. Born to a middle-class family in Osaka, Jun's ambitions of becoming a hero stem from her family's tradition of service to the state. With a quirk like hers hero work was only too obvious. With plenty of trauma and stunted social development the question becomes not if she'll break, but when.

Mark Browning (AKA: The Lone Wolf)

On first glance, Mark is an unassuming person: blue jeans and button up shirts, a jacket in cooler weather, and a nice looking Caddy to drive around in. Sure, in Japan he sticks out like a sore thumb, but the fact he can blend in just enough to be unnoticeable is a strength of his. It also suits his method of hero work perfectly; while he does conceal a few firearms on his person, he is the type to avoid conflict. Let the criminals lay a trail and strangle themselves with their own rope. And funnily enough, it's the same kind of approach he has with students. Utilizing a portion of Ground Beta as his own playground, the infamous 'No Man's Land' is pockmarked with traps, hazards, and pitfalls to force students to be more aware of their surroundings. Mark finds this method of teaching more impactful as well as things like reading and studying aren't good for student health or life.

His life does lead to much speculation, however. What exactly is an American doing in Japan, especially one as lowkey as him? Where does he speed off to when classes are finished?

Rhea Harker (AKA: Siren)

Rhea did not ask to come here to Japan, but children rarely get any say in what their parents decide for them. Had she not lost her mother in a tragic accident some twelve years ago it was possible she wouldn't have to scrap out an existence in a country that hated her with a father who was lucid in his inebriation at best and unable to hold a job at worst. Early on she decided what she was going to do: she was going to get her revenge. First on the people that stranded her here, and then...who knew? She was angry enough that she didn't mind lighting a fire to watch the world burn. She had the voice and the power to do it. She just needed to be careful on how; one couldn't execute heroes from behind a prison door.

Yuudai Matsubara (AKA: Wraith)

Yuudai is exactly what one might think: a nerd. And not one of those timid ones either, one of those who's smart and knows it and becomes everyone's problem. He's read that post on how to do that one thing better. In fact, he created that very forum for that very task. Though he is smart, he has somehow gotten into UAU to earn himself a better living by getting a general degree, mostly in computer sciences. Despite that, he has a secret: he masquerades as a crime fighter when no one is looking. On top of it being foolproof, he can even erase any electronic footprint he has to make tracking him that much harder. What's his goal? Even he's unsure of that, but one thing he does know: it's fun to troll heroes and villains alike.

Hayaka Raimei

Life used to be simple for Hayaka. She was never the best student, but she was a natural at sports and track. Then her world was slowly destroyed by villains, and she joined a resistance movement to stop evil wherever she could. The movement slowly failed, and so a bold plan was put forward: if Hayaka could amass enough speed, she could break the time barrier and fix everything. Or so she translated. The plan more or less worked, with various different injuries hospitalizing her for a time. Now enrolled in the infamous UAU, she's now here in the past as a lighthearted prankster giving a monumental task: stop Minima from killing the world.
