[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Some people might consider an analog clock to be grating, but Jun found it oddly soothing. The room she had at Ouros was not the biggest, but with a little redecorating Jun had a nice little office devoted to all her crazy work. She had put in enough work for this, and as such each and every wall in this office was a corkboard. Most people wouldn't understand the significance of this, but Jun? She was crazy. She had taken many cold cases (and a few ongoing) and spread them out on parts of the corkboard, with different strings and stories and notes and other things that referenced the case files involved. It felt good to have all this set up, and it gave her a good means of visualizing how different cases unfolded. That said, she still had a little work to do. As such she left the room in order to hunt up some new stationary; she was almost out of red thread, and she needed some more tacks to stick up on the board. It was getting a little late, but if she could just get this done maybe she wouldn't be forced out at a decent hour. Calliope

Calliope

Out of many of the solitary things that she liked doing, one of the best things was sitting beside the water and watching the waves while listening to some music. It was peaceful and most of the time no one really bothered her or asked her what she was doing. It was a simplistic type of activity and it always gave her the solace that she was lacking at UAU. People were always around her, in her business, and it was kind of annoying. It was times like this that she wished that she had a quirk that would just get people away from her for a period of time. Though her eyes could have that impact on people, some people were just persistent.

After being there for a few hours though, she found herself getting hungry. Getting up, she would dust the sand off of her and step onto the street that was adjacent to where she was. The only problem with her idea is that she hadn't checked that nothing else was on her. It seemed that a piece of seaweed had gotten on her leg. Looking down, she freaked and screamed before falling on her ass in the middle of the street. Hopefully no one saw that?

Jun should go back to campus and get some sleep, they said. With an exasperated sigh Jun picked up some of her materials and headed out for the night. She really wanted to put the last few touches on one of the boards, but it was not to be. Hopefully she wouldn't forget the details- What was that? Jun immediately ran out to where that scream came from, body tensing up; was another one of those weird creatures making their way back to the bay area? She hoped not, she already had to deal with enough of those things as it was. But once she made it to the section of street where the scream came from all that was there was a girl, and...that was it. Regardless, Jun remained on her guard, moving cautiously. "Excuse me, miss? Are you alright?" She seemed familiar...like she had seen her before. On campus, maybe? No, that didn't seem right...did she- It clicked. There were plenty of times she had seen a picture on Recall's desk, one of the woman when she was younger. In it, a younger version of this girl was in there. Yeah, that's why Jun recognized her. Calli felt flat on her ass. There thankfully wasn't any breaking sounds, so she just fell and hurt her ass. "Fuck!" She'd shout, using her leg to push the piece of seaweed off. With a huff of panic, she'd look over to the unfamiliar lady at her comment. "Yeah just, seaweed." It was a plain answer, but the only one that she could come up with. "Fucking got on my leg and I don't fucking like that shit." Shivering at the utter thought of it being on her, she'd look over to the girl a bit closer.

"Thanks for the concern. I'm glad someone wanted to come here and check when someone is screaming." Calliope would sigh, dusting herself off and trying to get every last bit of sand. She would then slowly stand up and look at Jun with a confused look. "You look kind of familiar, you a student or something?" She looked like a preppy ass type, but she was at least pretty. Cracking her knuckles as she stood, Calli would motion with her head to what she had bought. "Got anything good?"

She didn't rip it up, but her cousin did in their youth. After she was told not to yank hard on the pole. At least Jun got revenge by throwing her into the ocean. "Well, Ouros is nearby, so...anyone could've showed up," she says, indicating the building she just came from. "Yeah, um. I'm from UAU. Junsuina Kanjo, Department of Heroes." She opened her mouth, but then immediately shut it. She was about to connect the fact she knew who Calli was, but Jun was already layering on a level of things that most people living in another hero's shadow would hate. Yoko was like that, and Calli didn't really seem the type to appreciate it...she could broach the subject later. "Uh, these are some news reports. Nothing worth really to look at, unless you want to try and figure out patterns and the like..." Which Jun did like doing. She had a notebook in her dorm that let her do some work away from the agency. "do you want an escort back to campus? I'm not fully licensed, but at the very least I can do things provincially." That was the thing about being around heroes. Even something as simple as falling they may feel inclined to help you with. "Right." She'd comment, before looking at her with a raised eyebrow. "So you are like me. You're a cute little thing." The red hair, the smaller build, yeah, she was for sure popular.

"News reports? That sounds fun." There wasn't sarcasm in her voice though, as it seemed that she was genuinely interested in the idea. "An escort? Well, I don't mind it I guess." Calli had no clue who she was asking for an escort, but in reality she had no idea where she was without her phone. "I do like a woman that can protect me a little." Calli would tease her, before moving beside her. "Lead the way miss."

And from a girl, no less? This was a bit weird, so she decided to set the story straight: "I'm, ah, not particularly...cute?" She was not exactly dressed for it, either. Simple T-shirt, track pants, tennis shoes, hair done in a ponytail. "A-anyways, uh. I guess if you don't mind it, let's go?" Jun would start to lead the way, shifting her folders under an arm. "I'm mostly trying to establish trends and stuff between cold cases. Trying to see if there's any kind of connection between them. There's been little to no progress, so figured it might be worth looking into. So far there's only one possibility, but at the same time probably not. "I think you should get your eyes checked then." Calliope would always try to be bold and honest, even if it got her in trouble. "I'm sure you are popular!" Calliope never assumed things, but took them at face value. "You radiate it, doesn't matter, you just are." And that was that. Calliope was stuck in her mentality and that was all there was to it.

"Well, it's good that you're taking up work like that. I assume that most people wouldn't. It sounds like... Well, things that no one otherwise would care about. The thing about it is each of those cold cases is someone's life. That is important, even if you don't want to believe it." That was of course, the mentality that Calliope had on it.

When Jun brought up her sister, Calliope just nodded. "Yep, the little sis. I'm sure the bright orange eyes make it hard to think otherwise." She'd only glanced at Jun as to not activate her quirk, but it was enough to see the color of her eyes. "What about it, do you like her? Er... Idolize her?"

"It's good that you have friends then. I assume that being a hero can get pretty lonely without friends." If she was able to make friends herself, maybe it would make her feel better about being a hero. The idea of having no one to rely on really did scare her. "Well, hopefully they treat you well. There's a lot that friends can do to boost morale and make you care a lot more about what your goals are in life, I think."

Her sister could be a hard ass, but she knew it was because she was loving and wanted the best for people. At least, that's what she assumed. "Oh, you work under her?" It didn't even click that she had said her sister's agency. "Well, good luck to you I guess. She has a way with people." That was sarcasm to its core, but that was to be expected.

"Calliope Pavlina." She said curtly, not really liking or hating her name. "Calli is fine, I'm not one for honorifics and shit." Whether she wanted to or not, she would probably run into Jun because of her sister, so it was important that they remained on good terms. "Sorry for not saying it sooner." With her hands behind her back, she would walk quietly beside her for a bit. "How do you get up to trouble?"

"Jun is cute." Calli would smile, only flashing her eyes in her direction for a moment as to not use her quirk on her. "I'm glad that you're the one I met out of anyone that could have stopped by." It would have been much more awkward if it was someone that she didn't want to talk to.

Oh, so she was a good girl. "Ah I meant like smoking, partying, doing drugs, sleeping with people. You know, college stuff. Stuff that makes you feel alive and that you have experienced things. Never snuck out and slept at someone's house?" She'd tease her a little bit, realizing that it may all seem plain. It was bold for sure, but...oddly more sincere than she had heard from others who were super awful and still wanted to be on this path. It would almost be admirable, had Calli were not making the conscious decision to be doing all those awful things. Not that much better, but more tolerable. the offer that Calli made also made Jun stumble over her words even more.
