Kiyomaru is a bit…off. He has a fantasist-like complex, with no one being able to quite figure out why he ended up this way. These fantasies cause him to act like a samurai, and to the ordinary person, he may appear idiotic or deluded. Even if it might seem like a bit, he is genuinely convinced that this is reality and even speaks in an archaic fashion befitting samurai.
Kiyo always wears a stoic and unbothered expression on his face which can be intimidating to some but in reality there’s just not much he’s thinking about aside from “what would a samurai do”. This makes him not an easy person to approach but it doesn’t stop him from being chatty when it comes down to it. He’s actually fairly amiable if you can tolerate his ignorance and unusual naming conventions as he does also follow the principles of bushido and is very loyal to those he finds the need to protect.
As ignorant as he can be Kiyomaru can actually be very sharp in his own way. This is mostly when it comes to logic traps and fallacies due to him ignoring anything that he can't understand in favor of what he can it offers a perspective that most critical thinkers aren’t able to naturally possess. It's not his only advantage as this simple viewpoint also means that he’s confident in what is real to him and doesn’t fool himself when it comes to doubt as he relies on his instincts. If something is too simple to be seen, count on him seeing it.
All in all Kiyomaru, despite his nature, is shown to be protective and caring towards those he is close to and considers his friends. He is willing to put his life on the line for those who need a hero.

» HEIGHT: 5’8 | 172 cm
» WEIGHT: 149 lbs | 67 kg
» EYE COLOR: Dark Blue
» HAIR COLOR: Black
» SKIN COLOR: Fair
» FACE CLAIM NAME: Giyu Tomioka
» FACE CLAIM SERIES: Demon Slayer | Kimetsu no Yaiba
Kiyomaru is a slightly taller than average young man for his age. Despite his age he is quite muscular and has a fair complexion, he is almost always seen wearing a serious and emotionless expression. This changes depending on what he’s currently doing such as academics where this serious expression turns to a vapid expression with him unable to process what he’s doing.
Kiyomaru has unruly black hair of uneven lengths that sticks up in tufts around his head, which he wears tied back in a low messy ponytail at the base of his neck as he believes this makes him look more like a samurai and refuses to change it. His bangs fall over his eyes in an uneven fringe. His eyes are sharp and moderately large, their irises a deep sapphire that fades to a lighter blue and their pupils a bluish-black, and are framed by thin eyebrows.
As for his clothes he has made some modifications to his school uniform (and keeps getting told to change) but outside of class he wears the modified uniform with buttoned white leg-wrapped kyahan and a pair of white zōri with dark blue straps and tabi socks underneath being the same cyan color as his uniform. Over this, Kiyomaru wears a haori that's split down the middle into two different patterns: the right one a solid red, and the left one geometrically patterned with squares of green, orange, and yellow.

Kiyomaru was born as the youngest of the Fujiwara family. The Fujiwara are an extremely wealthy family with a long history of being in the business of support gear for heroes. They had established a business generations prior which at least one member of each generation would be in charge of.
For this Kiyomaru was never an option. As much as his parents wanted to deny it he was…not bright. Growing up he didn’t have any aptitude for traditional academics and no matter how many professionals his parents brought to tutor him he didn’t really get it. The only thing he actually was able to comprehend was history and when he learned about samurai he became fascinated with the concept.
It was about the only thing he real took to when it came to knowledge retention with fascination turns into a deep admiration and that turning into obsession which then turned to delusion. This was of course deeply concerning to the rest of his family as he began to fashion clothing out of blankets and old sheets to have a proper samurai garb.
Despite their best efforts they weren’t able to shake this new habit and as they were going to give up it became pretty apparent that where intelligence should have been there was instead strength. Even if it had started as a foolish delusion Kiyomaru had an actual skill with the swords and his physicality was much more advance than other children his age.
Even with his defect his parents decided to humor him to a degree and told him that as long as he attended U.A.U they wouldn’t impede his desire to be a samurai.
When the entrance exam rolled around Kiyomaru did something that wasn’t very common for potential students. He managed to get most of his points solely from villain points and just a single rescue point that which after that he completely stopped for the rest of the exam. He did pass due to all the other points accumulated but the instructors found it odd that someone would just stop in the middle of the exam. An unusual start for a very unusual boy thats for sure.

QUIRK NAME: Enlightenment
QUIRK TYPE: Transformation + Mutation
QUIRK RANK: D-
DESCRIPTION: Enlightenment allows Kiyomaru to completely shut off advanced functions of their brain in exchange for physical amplification [Dexterity]. By clearing his thoughts of all distractions and intent, Kiyomaru can place a command himself prior to shutting off higher functions, which he will execute that can be as simple or as complicated he needs it to be, but the effectiveness of this command is directly tied into the actions required.
Due to the nature of this quirk, his reflexes are greatly amplified. In this state, he moves and can attack without any readable movements or malice due to not being impeded by higher mental function or emotion, as he essentially becomes something similar to a computer running a script from a command.
The biggest benefit of this quirk is that the user's mind is clear and free from all that normally would inflict them, such as illusions or sensory-related quirks/abilities. These abilities that target the mind or need to be processed by the brain won’t work because…there is no thought, just a repeat of the command over and over again. Kiyomaru compares his mind to being enlightened like a buddhist, having reached a higher plane of thought where even no one can anticipate him or understand his actions. He’s actually gone in the opposite direction, and good luck convincing him of that. The commands can be something as simple such as ‘run’ or ‘fight’ and can get as complicated as ‘pick that up and throw it’ or ‘carry this and retreat’ with him being able to add timers ranging from a few seconds to a few hours if need be.
DRAWBACKS: During this state, his pain receptors are still fully functioning, so someone could shock him out of this state by inflicting enough pain quickly or a high amount at once.
while he can adapt to following commands while on autopilot, as in if he was to attack someone and a wall was in the way he could find a way around it, new variables however are out of the scope of this ability. Such as if his command was to fight someone specific if another person joined the fray they would not be considered in the original command since it didn’t specify to fight them.
While Kiyo can recognize basic human feedback through external stimuli (fire - hot, ice - cold), complexity or complex quirks are something he can't anticipate and the basic 'reasoning' of his brain won't redirect him from that kind of danger.
