Eventually, Dante leaves the highway and stops outside a nighttime district, pointing at a nearby bus stop. "Since this day ended worse than I expected, I say that you either get laid or go home. Mark turned to look at Dante, a small fire burning in his eyes. "You should be lucky that you aren't him." Mark didn't talk about his brother much, but Dante would know that they were there in Japan because he was on the hunt for him due to some incident that took place before they met.

"I don't care if you play around, perform at bars, or anything along those lines, but the moment you start stirring up trouble is when I'm going to reel you in. We ain't in Kansas anymore, Dorthey. Laws are stricter and there's less places to hide. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: you cause a scene, and some two-bit hero takes your ass to jail, you ain't gonna find a savior in me. He opened the passenger side door, pointing a knife-hand at Dante. "If ya don't like it, I can always pay to ship ya back Stateside. Otherwise, don't make my job more complicated. Capiche?"

He stepped out, shutting the door behind him and taking a step back to avoid the burnout. He shook his head and shoved his hands in his pockets, moving over to the sidewalk as he recollected a map of the city and began to head back to his shitty apartment. As infuriating as Dante was, he did want the best for him. Maybe as a penance for how much he screwed up with Sean...

Dante stays silent as he’s screamed at. As much as he wants to throw hands at Mark’s punchable face, he knows when to be quiet.

There’s no rebuttal from the delinquent but an angry grunt as Mark leaves. Then, in all his smartest glory, he rolls down the window and calls after Mark. “At least if I was back in America my style wouldn’t be copped by you. Take a hike back to stick-up-my-ass town, Mark!” He snaps in English.

Without further ado, he punches the gas, tearing down the street and rolling his eyes. “Arrested…” Dante scoffs. “Hell will freeze over before any dingehole keeps me under.”

Dante doesn’t notice the way his teeth painfully grind in anxiety. He has a lot to learn about Japan, it seems. Well, time to go clubbing again, anyway. What did he care about a little friendly street race?
