The odds had been stacked against the students from the beginning. Outnumbered and some with their powers shuffled around, there was no way anyone expected them to beat, let alone survive the nightmare.
But they did.
Proving their worth in combat, risking it all to save not just the kidnapped civilians, but Tokyo at large, Farrin and Marlene came together to send the Boss of the Purple Madness packing all at once. Farrin's attack landed without issue and it only made the monster more vulnerable to any follow-up techniques the others had. Once the dust settled the one-eyed, one horned, giant, purple people eater was gone and in its place there was an unconscious, scrawny man no older than the students he had fought. ''Unfortunately young lady, that one is just a manifestation of my quirk, but I can recommend you some good cat shelters!'' Captain Charisma gave Marlene a thumbs up while he picked the villain boss up by the collar of his suit. ''That was a righteous performance you put on, to be young again.'' Captain Charisma mused, taking the time to praise the students on their accomplishment while Apparel secured the hostages.
''Did ya get the big bastard?'' Apparel asked, coming back out of the basement.
''All done here, these young heroes made short work of that scoundrel. How are the civilians?''
''There's 44 of 'em, Ah think that's all of 'em accounted for.'' If the students wanted to stay and help with the clean up they were free to do so, but Apparel wasn't going to hold them against their will either. ''Just ta warn ya, it's a crazy scene down there. Some of the people that were kidnapped are students too.'' Meaning, some of their friends could be among them.
The basement itself had an eerie air to it. Civilians had been shoved into holding cells while the hallway floor and walls was painted with a green light mural, resembling the green light that had put everyone to sleep at the start of the Dream World disaster. At the end of the hallway, there was a single sacrificial altar that had yet to be used. ''They're asleep an' they might stay that way for a while until Starlin' Soul wakes them up. Ah figure the least we can do is make sure they wake up somewhere nicer than this.''
If either of the students stayed to help out, they would learn that among the kidnapped were plenty of students. Freja Helt being one of them.
With all the villains of the Purple Madness captured and the civilians accounted for everything slowly began to wind down. The nightmare wasn't over yet, but Farrin, Marlene and Zenkai had scored a massive win for hero society here today.
''Ya must be exhausted so Ah won't keep ya! Get some rest, ya earned it. Ah'll reach out later ta ya all later an' get a more detailed report.'' Apparel grinned, leaving them with a few parting words. ''Oh! An' if Ah got my quirk back next time, don't be scared when Ah've grown hella devil horns! Normally Ah have mutant features!''
Pure Purple Madness
TL;DR:
The Boss of the Purple Madness is defeated and captured alongside his underlings. The civilians are all accounted for too. Apparel tells the students she's going to ask for a more detailed report later, but tells them to focus on resting first. Victory for the heroes! The End!

Just as Lone Wolf had suspected, shooting the head of the Queen still wasn't enough to stop the arms from rampaging, but it was enough to cut whatever was controlling the scarecrow itself off from it.
The Keyholder reluctantly agreed to let the key go, but still followed Iphi. ''Wh-What about that one? Another one of the monsters?'' They whimpered, pointing at Kei who had been engulfed in shadows. ''You three, you are indeed the ones who was pulled into the dream? You and no one else?'' Once everyone was gathered the Keyholder put a hand on the key, causing it to glow a radiant light and grow white, feathered wings, soaring into the sky above and pulling the dreamers with it. The forest under them writhed, displeased with this turn of events, but no matter how much the tendrils of the cornfield tried, none of them could reach them now.
Then the key rocketed up further, the terrain below becoming harder and harder to see as the dreamers broke through the stratosphere of the forest dream that had tried to kill them. ''It's not much further now.'' The Keyholder reassured the dreamers as they kept a steady course sailing through the dark void. Eventually they flew so far away that the dream they came from, the world of arms, was nothing but a little dot in the distance. Until it too was consumed by the shadows of the void. It was an odd feeling, an empty, endless, expanse of blackness and yet it felt like something inhabited it. Something that was watching them. Much like the world of arms had been snuffed out, it came for their light source next.
The key sputtered and suddenly came to a halt, its light blinking out like it had run out of batteries and with it, any remaining light source that let the dreamers see each other. ''It's... Not supposed to do that.'' The Keyholder muttered as they fumbled through the dark trying to fix the key.
A giant pair of eyes opened next to them, casting a little bit of light from its irises, illuminating the group of lost dreamers in a dim light. The eyes were easily the size of a mountain each, or maybe the void made them appear that way? The pupils focused and looked down at the small group as whatever the eyes belonged to, whatever lived in this endless void cocked its head to one side.
''Leaving so soon?''
Its voice filled the void all at once, coming at them from all sides.
''I was just beginning to have fun, I had so many more tricks left to show you.'' As it talked, its eyes would drift apart in ways that defied all logic, form and sense, and then just as it seemed like the outline of the creature's shape could be made out, the eyes drifted back into place, as if they were attached to a giant human face. ''Kei. Yaoyao.'' It repeated in familiar voices just like The Queen had.
''Oh well, I'm quite content. I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again very soon. Isn't that exciting? Gives you something to look forward to!'' Its tone was at once whimsical and playful, but also sinister. ''I've seen you and now...''
A giant, purple, veiny arm with freakishly long nails reached down from above, pointing an index finger at the key, making it start back up again. ''Now, you've seen me too.'' It gurgled, the voice filled with an alien sound that was meant to mimic laughter. ''I'll be a guest in your world next time... How about it?'' A hole poked through the ceiling of the void as a giant gateway of light appeared and pulled the key and the dreamers towards it. ''Off you go then.'' It said casually.
''Kei.''
''Yaoyao.''
''Iphigenia.''
''Mark.''
As they drew closer and closer to the gateway, the Keyholder smiled at all of them. ''Looks like this is goodbye.'' Their body slowly began to turn into the very same light the key and the gateway was made of. ''Be careful once you get back, your world is turmoil. Your friends, your loved ones, they're all in danger, but don't give up hope.''
And with that, professional hero Starling Soul managed to extract three more dreamers and bring them back into their nightmare reality.
The Forest of Many Arms
TL;DR:
Everyone successfully escapes the Forest of Arms with the Keyholder.
Whatever was controlling The Queen lives in the void.
It comes to say goodbye to the dreamers.

The Queen tilted its head as Lone Wolf and Kei seemed to be struggling against its tendrils, amused by their mortal struggles it repeated something Lone Wolf had said minutes prior. ''There's a joke to be made here, but I'll tell it once everything is all said and done.'' It delighted in taunting them, turning its attention to Iphigenia next as she cut through some of its tendrils to help her friends and then went for the birdcage next. ''Hey, stop it! Don't use your quirk on us without asking first!'' It shouted in Iphigenia's voice, silently laughing all the while. The tendrils that were cut in half fell to the ground. Lifeless for just a moment, until their natural textures melted away, leaving only the colors of the arms of the forest. Splitting into smaller pieces, the disembodied hands started circling in on Lone Wolf.
''Kei. Yaoyao. Kei. Yaoyao. Get your shit together? We're not the bad guys here!'' The Queen alternated between Ryota and Kei to say their names, then switched to Kei's voice to finish it's sentence. Kei was able to shred his way through the tendrils with ease, all of which turned into more disembodied arms which were unable to keep up with him and turned to target Lone Wolf instead. ''Kei. Yaoyao.'' It repeated.
''Die.''
''Die.''
''Rot.''
''Help me!''
''Please don't kill me!''
''Funny.''
''Where's my mom?!''
It was myriad of voices, some monotone, some distressed, some casual. The Queen cycled through them like it was playing a game.
It tried to fire more tendrils at Kei, but before the Queen could defend itself, shadow beast Kei tore right through it. As it turned out, The Queen was surprisingly fragile. As its head fell to the ground it looked over at Lone Wolf who was being surrounded by arms which were... Still moving somehow. ''Thank you, Mark.'' It said in Iphi's voice. ''Into the ground.'' It said in a girl's voice. ''One with the forest.'' It said in a man's voice as the arms tried to grab Lone Wolf and drag him under.
''Funny.''
''Funny.''
''There's a joke to be made here, but I'll tell it once everything is all said and done.''
''Thank you, Mark.''
With the Queen preoccupied, Iphigenia was able to tear through the birdcage with ease using her Blackwhip. The prisoner holding the key stood back as her quirk created an opening. ''Not good!'' They cried, their face still concealed under their hood by an ethereal darkness. Just as Iphi approached them the key began to light up dramatically. ''You all need to touch the key, or it's all over!!''
The Forest of Many Arms
TL;DR:
Iphi successfully frees Lone Wolf from the tendrils and manages to get past The Queen as its too busy dealing with Kei and Lone Wolf. The shredded tendrils turn into disembodied arms that try to surround Lone Wolf and drag him into the ground to become 'one with the forest'. Shadow beast Kei manages to to claw through the scarecrow, but the arms still appear to be moving. Meanwhile, Iphi frees the prisoner with the golden key, but they insist that everyone must touch the golden key.

The stun rounds Farrin fired easily hit the giant Boss, but he didn't seem all too affected by them. A couple of them even bounced off his thick skin. What it did do, was draw attention from the monster, as the giant let out a low growl and turned his eye to look at Farrin. Gripping his scythe tighter, the Boss tried to struggle for control against Farrin's attempt to divert the attack, but ultimately couldn't match his accelerated push, causing the scythe swing to narrowly miss Marlene and Zenkai. The blade of the scythe buried itself deeply into the floor, the space around the cut immediately corroding on impact like a hot knife cutting through butter. The floor around the blade sizzled as the Boss looked back at Marlene, just in time to eat her crimson beam.
The impact was destructive, perhaps even more so because of the confined space. Walls, furniture, everything that got caught in the radius of the blast melted or crumbled away, which was only exacerbated when the Boss, who took the beam head on was sent flying backwards. The whole building shook as his massive corpus flew into the far back wall, wrecking even more of the already ruined police station. The Boss groaned, his loud breathing had slowed down but despite the massive blow Marlene dealt he still got back up onto his feet. Much like the students he took a moment to get his bearings before slowly walking back over towards his scythe.
Meanwhile, just outside the police station, the hero students would be able to hear voices arguing.
''We're wastin' time here! The students are riskin' it all for us!''
''I agree! Is it not at times like this when heroes shine their brightest?''
The voices belonged to a man and a woman, and were followed by fast approaching footsteps and a third voice calling out.
''Apparel, Captain- wait!''
Leaping through the hole in the wall a pro hero wearing her signature red dress soared through the air, spinning a chain whip that she was winding up, before letting go and lashing the Boss right in the eye, causing him to stagger back and slow down. ''Serves ya right, ya big bastard!!'' The foulmouthed hero wore her iconic dress, but had lost her recognizable red devil horns and auric cross eyes in the quirk swap. Instead, her current quirk bore a strong resemblance to that of Sadako, UAU's Student Counselor's quirk. After hitting the boss once she grinned and looked over at Farrin, immediately rushing over to help him back up. ''Up ya go! Ya all right? Think ya can go for another round with that thing?'' She wanted to check in and make sure he was okay, but Myling had told them there were multiple students present.
Just as the Boss villain opened his eye, a buff hero with a black handlebar mustache longer than his wide shoulders snatched the scythe up with one hand. ''We'll be confiscating this, good sir!'' He took the scythe and chucked it backwards out of the station, much to the dismay of the third guy him and Apparel had been arguing with, as he screamed and dove for cover. ''Fear not brave students, for we are here! Apparel and Captain Charisma will be aiding you in this battle!'' Apparel rushed over to Marlene's side next. ''Can ya stand? Ah heard a few badass students were out here fightin' the good fight, was that ya three?'' Her gaze wandered as she noticed a door further in the back. ''Does that lead ta the hostages? Oi, Captain! Can ya an' the students handle this big lug? Ah'll check on the civis!'' She called out to her colleague who gave a simple thumbs up, but accidentally flexed his arms so hard it ripped his sleeves clean off his uniform. ''Leave it to us, Apparel! Isn't that right, young heroes?!'' He looked at the hero students, trying to hype them up.
Manifesting a blue battle standard out of thin air, Captain Charisma slammed it into the ground with gusto. The banner glowed and as if he had opened the portal into another world, a tiny marching band made up of cutesy cats marched on through, letting their adorable little song fill the station as they slowly took shape. Eventually once the whole band was gathered they split into groups of three, all choosing one of the hero students to rally around and comfort. As if placed under some kind of spell, all three students would be able to feel their pain grow numb, and the energy they had spent fighting the Purple Madness return to them like they hadn't just been fighting nonstop.

Pure Purple Madness
TL;DR: Farrin successfully diverts the scythe attack from Marlene and Zenkai. Marlene's beam does significant damage to the Boss and the surroundings, but the Boss isn't done yet. Reinforcements show up as pro heroes Apparel and Captain Charisma join the fight. Apparel checks in on Farrin and Marlene to make sure they're okay, while Captain Charisma confiscates the Boss's scythe. Apparel is planning to make a dash for the backrooms to free the hostages, while Captain Charisma uses his quirk to restore any energy the students have lost while fighting the Purple Madness gang.

''How boring.'' Sean frowned at Lone Wolf, his body melting into a puddle on the ground and seeping through the soil. ''I knew you didn't have it in you. You always were a coward.'' Whatever entity was messing with them had already had its fun at the river. After all, one of the dreamers was rapidly approaching and it would be rude not to greet him. No, greet them.
Back at the amusement park, Kei was allowed to have his inner conflict. No limb around him seemed to intervene or mind at all. As he approached the castle it started to shrink dramatically, and lose a lot of its depth and perspective. Sure enough, the castle was nothing but a large and elaborate cardboard cutout. In the cornfield in front of it, propped up on a simple wooden pole sat one lone scarecrow wearing a crown.
''Welcome.'' Its head slouched to look down at Kei as it talked with an unfamiliar woman's voice. Notably, the woman sounded more scared than the scarecrow appeared. ''The Queen! The Queen!'' It shouted in a man's voice, referring to itself. Cocking its head it leaned forward a little bit. ''Kei!'' It said in Ryota's voice. ''Yaoyao.'' It said in Kei's voice. ''Kei. Yaoyao, Kei, Yaoyao!'' It repeated, alternating between the voices it was borrowing, almost as if it had recorded and catalogued everything that was said in the Forest of Arms. ''Don't stand there, move! Full permission to use quirks, but we can't just stay here!'' It demanded in Lone Wolf's voice.
Thanks to Lone Wolf helping Iphi gain control of her quirk and Iphi wielding said control with a striking finesse, the two managed to catch up to Kei relatively quickly. ''We gotta go get Kei.'' The Queen said using Iphi's voice. ''Get Kei, get Kei.'' Plant-like tendrils began to move under them. ''Recall.'' It said in Lone Wolf's voice. ''Thank you, Mark.'' It said in Iphi's voice.
''Can you put me down?'' It asked in Kei's voice.
''Can you put me down?''

''Um, who's Alice?''
''Can you put me down?''
At this point, if any of them looked past the Queen they would see that the figure from early who was holding the golden key was trapped in a comically large birdcage behind the scarecrow.
''Don't stand there, move! Full permission to use quirks, but we can't just stay here!'' Suddenly, the tendrils sprung to life as the Queen attempted to wrap its vines around the three of them, aiming for their necks.
The Forest of Many Arms
TL;DR:
The one that controls everything in the Forest of Arms leaves Iphi and Lone Wolf alone. This entity is a scarecrow calling itself 'The Queen' which talks by repeating back the lines that previous victims of the Forest has said to it. The Queen taunts all of the dreamers before attempting to strangle them with vines. Behind The Queen trapped in a birdcage sits the person holding the golden key.

These smartass kids were getting on her nerves, pissing her off more and more with each passing second. The anger and frustration she felt directly translated into her attacks as Lila did nothing to hold back, not even the fact that they weren't pro heroes could save them from her wrath. After she had successfully lashed out at Farrin she turned towards Marlene, immediately proven wrong as the hero student took cover behind Zenkai and he didn't take the damage Lila had expected. ''Hiding behind a shield? Must be nice to have such a useful tool at your disposal!'' She spat, waiting for her opportunity to circle around Zenkai so she could get to Marlene. Seeing her underlings approach from behind she grinned. Perhaps she didn't have to after all.
''Lila-sama is right, we can win!'' What little confidence the group of underlings had was immediately crushed when Marlene turned to face them and her mouth started glowing, stopping them dead in their tracks. By the time she started speaking, booming voice filling the whole police station, several of them were shaking and had already dropped their weapons. ''W-We're sorry!! Don't kill us!'' They whimpered, retreating with little regard for what Lila or their boss would think. ''You guys!'' Lila called out with more desperation than she liked to admit. ''Who the hell are you people?'' Even she was feeling intimidated by Marlene's scary display. Luckily for her she just had to defeat Marlene and Zenkai and then... Huh? When Lila turned to look in the direction where Farrin had been moments prior all she saw was more downed gang members. Had that boy really managed to beat them all despite his injury?
Searing pain was the next thing she felt as Farrin landed a punch square on her jaw, then her vision went blurry. Unable to keep ahold of her sword she dropped it, causing the electricity coursing through it to fade into thin air as she went flying and tumbling to the side of the room. ''You're all... Freaks...'' She muttered, too weak to get back up.
Just as everything seemed to be winding down, just as The Purple Madness seemed to have run out of combatants, the ground shook again. Then, distorted voices coming from the basement, almost like a broken record player.
''It was...''
''It was...''
''One...''
''One...''
''Eyed...''
''What a sight...''
In the blink of an eye the dance floor collapsed in on itself and a giant purple monster emerged. Looming over the group of hero hopefuls, this one-eyed, one horned monster slowly turned to look at Zenkai and Marlene. ''Who dares wake me from my slumber?'' Just like Marlene's intimidation voice, his too was booming. Spit dripped from his maw as he barred his fangs. ''That voice, it was yours wasn't it?'' He honed in on Marlene, using his left hand to manifest a giant purple scythe of what looked to be pure flames. ''You will pay! I'll add you all to the pile of bodies, ripe for the final sacrifice!'' He swung his scythe at Marlene and Zenkai, attempting to burn and cut them down then and there, leaving no room for negotiation.
Pure Purple Madness
TL;DR:
Lila tries to kill Marlene after she got a hit in on Farrin, but can't get past Zenkai. Marlene's intimidation tactic manages to scare off the weaker gang members and even causes Lila to hesitate leaving her open to Farrin's punch, taking her out of commission. Just when the fight seems won the boss awakes and comes through the collapsing dance floor. He's a giant one-eyed one horned purple people eater and he immediately tries to attack Marlene and Zenkai because of her booming voice which woke him up.
