Ylva truly paid no attention to Michael or Kei; they could kill each other for all she cared, but she knew they wouldn't. Ylva's tactic was working and drew the anger of many of the participants. Some stared daggers at her, and others straight up told her how messed up she was, but she paid it no mind. Winning was all that mattered, otherwise she'd be letting down her parents. There was nothing else to consider. [break][break]
A few people were participating who were either too quick or had something to deal with Ylva's abilities so between her methods of sabotage she would collect balloons by freezing and accelerating them to the ground before the others could grab them and tossed them in her basket. When she tried with another set, the girl who had stared at her earlier slammed into them before she could even freeze them to begin with, popping them on the spot.[break][break]

Annoying but useful. That was about the only thing close to a compliment that she would ever give to Jouma.[break][break]
She was capable of many things, but creating a functional vehicle was not one of them. So she begrudgingly listened to what he had to say, her parents were watching after all, and this was her chance to show that all they..she? she worked for. She placed the tire iron on the wheel and spun it until she felt that any more resistance would make them a bit too tight. She knew the basics at least which helped.[break][break]
When it was finished, she stepped back, and her brow furled. This was a junker straight out of a post-apocalyptic novel. Her arms folded as she watched Jouma try to fix it by hitting the engine. This didn't bode well. She would scan the others and see many more put-together vehicles popping up left and right, which was to be expected of the support course students. Even Andy had her uses at times, ugh. The thought made her physically recoil which in turn made her get over her distrust of this "car" that Jouma made. [break][break]
She would climb into the driver's seat, thankful that she already had her driver's license, and would wait until the start signal went off. Once it did, she would push down on the gas, with the pedal not moving at first, but with a few more stomps, it finally moved. Great.[break][break]

Being stuck with Andy was bad enough, but the other two were acting exactly like her. Ylva was as ruthless as most thought of her. If she had less morality, she would have made a very effective villain, and to certain people at UAU, she might as well have been one. This was exemplified by Ylva taking advantage of the plunge down the slide to snipe anyone with a snap freeze who tried to get back up, either freezing their legs in place or freezing them to the ground. They had such a headway that even with the freeze from the first obstacle having long melted, most of the groups were just getting through the first obstacle. [break][break]
Once Rahul began his plan to saturate the field with rabbits, Ylva refrained from freezing anything to watch. She had no reason to doubt that Rahul would do something to stop the teams ahead of them. Using her quirk in this way risked detonating the field minefield but luckily for her, Rahul had made a path and Ylva followed.[break][break]
When they had passed the obstacle and stood in front of victory, Ylva turned around the same time Rahul did. She would begin to form sheets of ice by freezing the moisture above the minefield, making flat discs that rained down over the field. The resulting combinations detonated all the mines, and Ylva would take steps to cross the finish line.[break][break]
There team had been dissolved and Ylva wouldn't respond to Rahul any further. She would take her points and then head towards the next arena - the dive into the water.[break][break]

Ylva would pause the line to watch the scene unfold before her. She didn't have to convince those waiting to be patient as they were more interested than she was. She expected a tantrum to break out and right on cue, Rui had a meltdown. She was definitely entertaining to the crowd and perhaps if she had done something like this to begin with she wouldn't have lost. [break][break]

They would chase after the fleeing Rui and the opposing shop owner bowed in apology to both Ylva's boss and herself, then ordered the kids who egged the place to help clean up. [break][break]

That smugness, however, was about to change. "We have a problem." The owner of the stand would coming running from the back beet red and tear into the kids and then cross to the other stand to talk to Rui's boss. "HEY!" Rui's boss would come yelling "I only hired you because you claimed to be an expert saleswoman, don't mess with other stands! Go clean it up or you're fired!" the owner would thrust a wash rag and a bucket towards Rui, expecting her to get over there and clean up the mess she created.[break][break]
