She didn't mind a bit of nature now and then, but they'd been walking for hours and she just wasn't into the whole idea of doing anything she didn't want to do in excess. Her secretary adjusted her glasses, she was dressed up in the full kit, short shorts, polo, belt with various tools attached, a perfectly packed backpack, and hiking boots. "Ma'am, you yourself insisted that the photoshoot be as authentic as possible." "Authentic! Not real. We have some of the best computers in the country! Just cgi me onto a damn rock wall, don't make me climb one of these things!" Sonya complained, staggering forward before slumping herself against her secretary. "Kaedeeeee, save meeeee, don't make me waaalllkkk, I'll do that thing agaaaaain..." Hirumi Kaede pulled away quickly, her face turning beat red. She stomped her foot. "One of these days I'm going to put in an HR complaint on you!" "You don't hate it, do you, really?" Sonya asked with a pitiful expression. Kaede floundered, adjusted her glasses, and started walking. Mumbling something about unfairness and pretty faces. Sonya snickered and stood up, stretching a little before following along behind. At least with Kaede here she could have some fun, otherwise this hike was going to be incredibly boring. I just want to play lylyth

Lylyana was walking through her woods, finding herself heading towards the mountains and back to her lair. She had been out for the day try to exercise and keep her body in shape enough that she could keep hunting in the hills. It wasn't the easiest hunt but it was necessary for her to survive. She was following along the trail when she heard noises. She pulled her wings close and hid down in a bush, hopefully sounding like an animal running. She kept her eyes down the trail through the bush as she watched two women walk up the trail.

She began to listen in as the two made their way close to her. They had invaded her territory. She began to let her hellvoid energy seep out She was going to take them by surprise, hopefully get them to leave and forget she existed. She let the hellvoid fill the bush as she kept herself what she believed was hidden. Her wings would be easy to spot for someone who recognized something looking out of place. If she isn't spotted, then Kaede would be in for a surprise as seven black tendrils come flying from the bush at her to grab her arms and legs. "Why are you in my territory? Hellvoid Lockdown!"

dont fret, dearie Sonya had only barely caught back up with Kaede when she felt a shifting in the air. It was subtle, but present, that taste of hostility that warned her that something was  coming. But regardless of her awareness, she was only so quick on the draw. It was one reason why she usually set things up for herself in advance, she couldn't be outmaneuvered if she was the one setting up the battlefield. Even so... Kaede acted first, throwing herself in the path of the oncoming tendrils. The young woman was barely a quirk user and a bona-fide personal assitant. She didn't have an ounce of combat experience. Sonya's eyes widened at the sudden assault as she tumbled backward, landing on her rear and looking up at Kaede. Her secretary looked down at the ground with a bit of shame on her face. "I wasn't thinking." Sonya sighed, "No, you weren't." Sonya got to her feet and brushed herself off, turning to look in the direction that the voice came from, the origin of the tendrils of blackness that bound up her defensless assistant. Despite the sudden tension in the air, Sonya simply brushed her hair back and sighed. "Apologies, dearie, I didn't know this area had an owner. What's it gonna take to get you to let go of my precious employee?" She asked, "I have something of a soft spot for the people who work for me." I just want to play lylyth

Lylyana had captured the young assistant with relative ease. Thanking her knowledge and experience with ambush tactics, she smirked slightly. Shifting her face into a more serious one, she stood up. Her ripped and tattered clothing showing the length of time she had spent in the wilderness. The lack of dirt showing she still tried to take care of herself. She snarled to try to show her anger.

She walked forward through the bushes, flexing her wings to make her seem bigger. She reached her left hand back towards the top of her tank top and gripped her necklace. "This is my home. For me to let her go, I would need tribute. I would also need you to forget I exist. It's better that way." She said, trying and failing to hold back the sadness in her voice. Friends are not allowed. Family will die. This is better. She hoped that the unrestrained woman was powerful enough to take her on. She could feel some power hidden behind the woman's voice. She preferred this to end peacefully. She did not want the woman to turn on her. She let her hellvoid energy flow around her arms, trying to show it off, hoping it would keep her ready for anything.

dont fret, dearie Sonya canted her head to the right, watching the young woman step out of the trees. With her clothes tattered and torn she looked almost feral. Pitiful really. Her lip twitched as the girl spoke, such sadness. She'd given up on herself. Was it her appearance that she was so frightened of? Shame, really. Sonya sighed as she watched the young woman show off her power, her wings spread to make herself look more frightening. Sonya, a mere five foot three, small, petite, barely seemed like the kind of creature to put up a fight. She stepped forward and reached up to run her fingers through her hair, pulling it back into a tight ponytail. Her mechanical eyes clicking and whirring as they focused on her target. "I'm afraid that's not possible. Forgetting a magnificent creature like you existed would be such a shame," Sonya said as something hissed on the ground beneath her. Her footprints leaving behind patches of frost burned earth. Grass curled and died in her presence as her skin began to glow faintly. "I have counter offer," Sonya said simply, tapping her cheek with a thoughtful expression, "You put my poor secretary down and come work for me." I just want to play lylyth

Lylyana was concerned. Looking closely in Sonya's eyes, she could see nothing. No true emotion. She hesitated with her hands trying to raise into a defensive position. She listened carefully to her first words and then hearing the hiss. A magnificent creature? That was the opposite of what she was. She was a demon. "I am a demon. Nothing more. And definitely not magnificent." She saw the grass curl and burn. She was scared of the powerful woman in front of her. She wasn't sure what to do.

She began to look over the woman and realize this wasn't going to be a battle she could win. She would however use what she could to her advantage. "What would working for you entail? I have lived in these woods for six of the last eight years. What use would I be to someone from the city?" She snarled, unsure of whether to accept. It was an enticing offer, for certain. To show she was considering the offer, she loosened the grip on the secretary. The secretary wouldn't be released fully but would be able to move her hands better. "As a show of good faith, I go by Lylyth, the demon of the woods and daughter to Lilith, queen of Hell, mother of the succubi. What should I call you?" She needed to be ready to flee if this went poorly. She quickly examined her escape routes and hoped that she would find a way out.

Even if i become Sonya Chernovna stood still as the so-called demon declared as much from her apparently safe distance. She derided herself again. She hated when people did that. There wasn't a point, lying so flagrantly, lies. She hated lies. Sonya let out a deep sigh and reached for her purse, slipping out what appeared to be a respirator mask. She examined it for a moment before looking back up at the girl again. She raised her head a bit and allowed her expression to thin, "Well, first you would reacclimate, dearie," Sonya said softly, "After that, I'll decide what task would work best for you, I daresay you'd be suited for hunting." She didn't so much as move her head when 'Lylyth' eased the binds on her secretary. Sonya's eyes moving over to glance in Kaede's direction. "Are you alright love?" She asked.  Kaede's face fell, looking embarassed at the mask in Sonya's hands, "I'm sorry you have to wear that today, Mistress. I thought you'd be able to have a break." Sonya snorted and shook her head before glancing up at the 'demon'. Her smile widening to almost absurd levels, she let out a laugh and took a breath, slipping the respirator over her face. It was in that moment that her body glowed brighter, the temperature of the area dropping several degrees. The area of wilting around her expanded dramatically as she strode forward and spoke. "I am Ishtar, dearie, Queen of Heaven," She said with a bit of mirth in her voice, the words coming out like a dying man's rasp, eerie and grating through the respirator. She watched the villain carefully as she sighed. She saw her reach into her purse. Ready to tighten the tendrils, she was surprised when she saw the mask. She calmed down, curious as to what the mask did. Then her next words were interesting. To re-acclimate would be interesting, however people were terrified of her. And she didn't trust the cops or heroes. Hunting as a job was interesting. It would be little different than what she already did, though probably more controlled.

She watched the respirator slip over her face as the temperature suddenly dropped. This was concerning at best, terrifying at worst. What was she going to do? Was this woman one of those corrupt heroes. She instantly tensed as she then heard her say she was Ishtar, Queen of Heaven. She was going to kill Lylyana. That's all that went through her mind until she said she was a villain.

Lylyana blinked and instantly began to relax. "Wait? You are a villain? Not one of those murdering heroes or corrupt cops?" She revealed a bit more than she probably should of, but her demeanor instantly changed compared to earlier. It was like the demon had gone away and the scared and timid girl had emerged. She instantly released the secretary from her tendrils as the Hellvoid energy dissipated. She wasn't sure what to say next. She just knew that she had a chance with a villain over a hero.

Even if i become Ishtar's eyes sparkled, amusement blossoming in her chest. This poor thing was so simple, she almost felt bad. But she deserved so much more than to waste away out here in the wilderness. Kaede fell from where she was partially suspended and dropped to her knees, rubbing her ankles and looking angrily at the attacking 'demon'. Ishtar took a step forward and put herself between Lylyth and the helpless Kaede. "The world is not as black and white as you imagine it is, dearie," Ishtar said cooly, striding foward. As she stepped, platforms made of that same pale-white light began to appear beneath her feet, fading away after she stepped off of them. She ascended them like stairs before they leveled out, she put herself at Lylyth's eye level before striding across the air. Her movement and posture gave a warning, fleeing meant a painful death. She didn't stop until she was face to face with the girl, the air around her was at least twenty degrees cooler than the surrounding air, a chill wafting off of her. Pale light. Rot. It was like standing in front of death herself. "Look at you, skin and bones," She whispered, her voice rasping through the respirator, she reached up and took a strand of Lylyth's hair between her fingers, looking down at it before looking up into Lylyth's eyes, her own mechanical eyes ticking slowly. Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick... "It's okay dearie, you're with me now, if you'd like." the devil himself lylyth

Lylyth was not surprised as the anger from the secretary hit her. It was normal. Ishtar made a point to get in between so she would respect it. She wasn't going to antagonize Ishtar if she could avoid it. She was confused when she said the world wasn't black and white. "I have seen heroes murder people and other heroes and cops cover it up. The doctors are also in on it. The nicest people I have met have been villains or civilians. And in the woods, it is kill or be killed. Eat or die. That is the way of the wild." She said as she watched Ishtar make her way close to her. The cold creeping over her.

The feeling of death shook over her. It was as if she was looking at death. It didn't bother her as much as it would most people. She was used to looking death in the face. It happened every time she struggled to find food until a human would come along. She was surprised to be called skin and bones. She thought she was able to get enough to thrive. Apparently she had not. She also wasn't expecting Ishtar to run her hand through Lylyana's hair. "I will come with you. I will warn you that I am cursed. Abandoned by my parents while I was young. Adopted mother murdered by a hero. Sister thrown in jail for false crimes. People around me suffer." She said sadly.

Even if i become Ishtar laughed, "I suppose you're right about that, the world is a skewed place, out of balance," She said without a moment of hesitation, shrugging and releasing the girl's hair. She stepped back onto the ground and began to walk towards the path, "That's why I'm seeking equilibrium, it's about time things got back under control, don't you agree?" She added and released the glow of her presence, no need for it anymore. "Cursed?" She barked out a laugh. "Our lovemaking played a role in the death of my wife," Ishtar said cooly, "I have these eyes because my quirk melted them out of my head when I was a child," She said dismissively, "I was picked up and used as a weapon for five years, I killed my handlers of course," She continued, stepping down the hill towards the path below and stopping to look up at her. "A curse is a curse only from your perspective. That fortune of you has shaped you into the woman you are now, and brought you to me," She said and removed the respirator, to grace her with a radiant smile, "Don't be so down on yourself, dearie and come join us, I'm not afraid of you. It's okay. It'll be fun! I'm doing a photoshoot today~"  She laughed as Kaede sighed, 'Another stray, ma'am?' was the look in the secretary's eyes. the devil himself lylyth

Lylyana agreed with her words. This world was definitely out of balance. What could really fix it? "You seek balance? Is that even possible at this point?" She said, watching the woman walk to the trail. "That would require a lot of death and destruction to the heroes, cops, and doctors who plague this society. Justice must be served." She was on board if that is what it meant.

Lylyana nodded when she said cursed. Listening close to the woman's words, she smiled. "Then you know a cursed existence." She went to say more but then she heard Ishtar speak about how a curse is only a curse from the person's perspective. She was unsure what to think about that. How was it a curse from only her perspective when she watched her mother get murdered? She watched as her life crumbled repeatedly.

She was slightly annoyed but she calmed down quickly. Ishtar's smile helped with that regard. She nodded. "I will join you. I cannot say whether a photoshoot is fun or not, but I will accompany you." She said, unsure of what the photoshoot will include. She then heard Kaede call her a stray. She didn't know why but it upset her greatly. She snarled immediately after the word stray was used. She kept herself restrained however.

dont fret, dearie Sonya snorted out a laugh, "Dearie please!" She almost cackled, the amusment tickling her. "Balance doesn't require that kind of barbarity, not on my part anyway," Sonya said with a wave of her hand, "But perhaps this is a lesson for the future, once you understand the world a little better." She trailed off and started to walk, slipping the mask back into her purse.  Kaede kept a close eye on the newcomer, her expression thin, she turned her head away after a while and focused on the trail. Sonya didn't seem interested in any sort of conversation at that point. Though she found the girl's way of speaking to be adorable. She was so formal!  Sonya turned around and walked backwards as she continued along the path, her eyes flitting over the girl's skin. Lylyth had remarkable scaling on her body. Curious. What did it do? Did it have convenient properties? She tittered out a laugh and turned back towards the path. They stopped over an hour later, outside a small inland lake benath a quiet waterfall. Sonya sat down with a groan, "Snaaaaacks!" Kaede let out a sigh, "I have chips right here ma'am." Kaede put a satchel down in front of Sonya who dove in, plucking out a small bag of chips. She took a bite before looking up at Lylyth. "You want some, dearie?" I just want to play lylyth

Lylyana gave a slight look of confusion when Sonya laughed. And then Sonya used the word barbarity. She wasn't sure what that meant. But since it didn't require Sonya, she didn't think it mattered. "A lesson for the future? I am not sure what barbarity is, but someone must deal with those murderers." She said, wondering what she meant by understanding the world better. She understood it well enough. Murderers ran scot-free and demons were hunted. She would need to ask about it for the future.

She walked behind the woman, following them to their destination. She had been surprised that Sonya decided to walk backwards. The trails were not completely clear and tripping over was easy. Then she laughed. What was that about? Why was she eyeing her? Did she have something on her?

She walked for an hour as they got to the lake. Her spot was nearby. Unfortunately, she had no food at her private location. Then she heard Sonya groan out snacks. Snacks.... she could use food about now. She looked around for a bit, hoping some animals were nearby. She looked back in time for Sonya to offer her some chips. "I'm sorry but I can only eat raw meat. A problem with my species. I unfortunately do not have any food at my spot near the lake or I would quickly go over there." She said, clearly treating herself different than a human, though not in a negative manner. She wondered if there was a way to get some hunting in quick.

dont fret, dearie Sonya blinked in surprise at the girl's confession. So she couldn't eat raw meat? Was that some kind of drawback of her quirk? If so that was tragic. Perhaps it was worth experimenting with though, she could have her labs back at home begin searching for an optimized type of meat for the girl to eat or at least provide some flavor to the experience, heavens! She sighed dramatically after taking a sip of her soda and got to her feet. "Feel free to hunt if you need to dearie, we'll be here for a bit," Sonya said, gesturing to Kaede who dropped the bags she was carrying on the ground. Several sets of clothes came out along with some gear that looked like hyper-advanced hiking equipment. The last thing that appeared was a small floating sphere with an eye on it. It hovered about and took in its surroundings before Sonya tapped it on the side. "You can be curious later my little pet, get ready for the fashion show," She teased and without an ounce of shame started to change on the spot, throwing off the clothes she wore for the trek up before swapping into the latest style her company had produced for wilderness area clothing. She adjusted her hair after throwing on the shirt. "How do I look?" She asked no one in particular. The sleek outfit was designed to be a dark color normally but could come in any design. A light metal protective frame covered her chest and monitored her vitals while the sleek fabric seemed to tense and relax all over her skin as she moved about. The bodysuit was slender and perfectly fit. She stretched in a playful manner while walking around, the camera bot taking photos of her. "Lylyth dear! What kind of clothes do you like?" She called, stepping into the water and splashing about a bit for the camera. I just want to play lylyth
