[attr="class","likedoinfo"]Fight for Justice primarily focuses on U.A. University, a university that is known for being one of the best heroics programs in the entire world. Some of the standard elements of U.A. remain the same such as its General Education Department, Hero Department, Management Department, and Support Department. Other elements of U.A., however, have been changed to better suit our canon: U.A. is located in Tokyo instead of Musutafu, and it is a university instead of a high school.

The focus of the Fight For Justice is primarily on the U.A. Experience, however, we do allow for players to engage in non-U.A.-related stories through Civilian, Hero, Vigilante, and Villain characters. As such, the staff team puts its focus on providing content and events for U.A. While the other factions are occasionally permitted to join some of these events, these factions typically operate under their own narratives that are personal to the characters that make them up.

On Fight For Justice, we operate under a form of liquid time. That is, any scene can be happening at its own time and pace and does not hinge on time advancing elsewhere. That being said, the site does operate under a canon time and season which set a concrete time for when certain events of the site transpire. We place our setting in an IC timeframe of three months (one season), and we change the season every 6 months.

We will be shifting from Fall (September - November) to Winter (December - February) on December 1st, 2024.

Fall: a time of renewal and gains marked by the days growing shorter and shorter. As leaves change color the temperature decreases and the year's harvests are reaped to prepare for the winter ahead. A season filled with traditional celebrations and a stunning transformation of the landscape, with cherry blossoms and bright red leaves adorning the country.

In the Year 2050, the first Quirk was manifested by a newborn baby in Qing Qing City, China. Following the birth of this glowing baby, a strange phenomenon began occurring all over the world: people began to manifest different kinds of superpowers.

The cause of this phenomenon is unknown, but it has been theorized to have been caused by the spread by mice; other theories have proposed that it was just a natural evolution of the human race; however, no such conclusive evidence exists to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt the validity of either of these theories.

This period of time came to be known as the Advent of Quirks. The Advent of Quirks was known to be a tumultuous era in human history. Societies all over the world broke down as their was a sudden surge of crime and civil unrest. Criminals empowered by their quirks wreaked havoc on the world, and ordinary people and quirked individuals faced mutual prejudice from both sides.

This, in time, gave way to the Vigilante Era.

[attr="class","likedosub"]The Vigilante Era, 2051-2055

Ordinary civilians eventually began to take matters into their own hands to restore order and society. These individuals became known as the first "Heroes," or Vigilantes as they are known now.

In time, society was able to adapt to the new status quo. Vigilantes slowly faded into nonexistence, instead becoming official defenders of society as Heroes. Governments began to restructure their laws and systems to accommodate these Heroes. Police Forces were moved to prioritize leadership and maintain the status quo as non-Quirk users. Meanwhile, crime-fighting Quirk users became their own enforcement agency.

The first Pro Hero initiative began in Rhode Island, USA. Initially, the authorization of Quirks in the use of law enforcement was met with backlash given the great potential that Quirks had to do harm and kill. In time, however, many of these protests died as people began to accept Pro Heroes as a legitimate force of good for society. This ended the Vigilantes Era and began a period known as The Advent of the Extraordinary.

[attr="class","likedosub"]The Advent of the Extraordinary, 2060-Present Day

When heroism became part of the status quo, society as a whole began to bend around it. This era gave rise to Hero Schools, Support Gear Development Companies, and the overall commercialization of heroes. In time, Heroes became not just agents of law enforcement but also became the subject of public adoration and worship akin to that of celebrities.

The Advent of the Extraordinary, contrary to the name, was also a time of great struggle and controversy. Many groups had risen up during the Advent of the Extraordinary carrying different prejudices. Some of the more prominent ones were the Anti-Mutant Organizations, Anti-Quirk Organizations, and Quirk Superiority Organizations. Many of these groups, which still exist to this day, were known to spread hateful propaganda and engage in various violent and illegal crimes against the groups that they were prejudiced against.

Meanwhile, there were also many advocates for various laws concerning Quirk-usage. This was also known as the Quirk Rights Movement which fought to protect the free use of Quirks as a basic human right. The most prominent group in the Quirk Rights Movement was known as the Meta Liberation Army which led many rebellions against many world governments for several years before ultimately suffering defeat when their leader was incarcerated.

Since the Quirk Rights Movement, the law strictly codified that all quirks must be registered with the government through the public and private healthcare system. By law, changes in Quirk were to be reported as soon as possible such that their records could be updated; of course, all of this information was not to be accessible by the public or even the government except in matters of criminal proceedings/national security. Additionally, public quirk use was made illegal unless you had a specific license permitting you the ability to do so like in the case of using your Quirk at a work site or using your Quirk for hero-related duties.

The beginning of Fight For Justice's Story opens in the Year 2100. U.A. University is entering its 25th year in operation as well as it's 15th consecutive year as the #1 Ranked Hero Institution in Japan. Following the Entrance Exams, U.A. gears up to welcome its newest batch of students, ready to propel them forward in life such that they can realize their Plus Ultra potential.

Spring 2100 saw Tokyo rocked by not one but two massive shake ups in but a few months. First Operation Babel occurred, a dastardly series of strikes lasting a whole twenty four hours organised to herald the founding of Pantheon and with it the ENKI system. After the conviction of The Elementalist the city once more faced grave danger as The Elementals under his command struck all at once spreading chaos and destruction in their wake. Grave tidings abounded and Tokyo would need its heroes more than ever...

As a response to the harrowing events that occurred in the previous season, UAU hosted a series of challenges for its students in the form of Armor Wars, where they were dropped without their Quirks in an ever-changing environment with nothing but the gear provided by its support department and participating equipment manufacturers. Inspired by such endeavours, Tokyo's underbelly created a similar arena for their own use. Its purpose had never been discovered.

The city didn't have long to rest however, as soon enough, Horrors from the Deep began to emerge from Tokyo Bay. Mutant sea creatures such as sharks with several heads and gargantuan crabs wreaked havoc on the beach, with heroes either keeping them at bay or more nefarious individuals taking advantage of the chaos.

With Tokyo beaten down by the terror its citizens endured, the Unity Festival was a welcome change of pace. Everyone from all walks of life were invited to the newly opened amusement park to partake in its many games and activities. Yet an ulterior motive was soon discovered, and many were forcefully pulled into a Dream World as a result of a broadcast from the tower erected during the Elementals crisis. Some vied to escape the strange areas they were locked in, while others worked to calm the mayhem that erupted in the waking world.

[attr="class","likedoinfo"]Quirks, originally known as Meta Abilities, are the superhuman abilities that humans and animals can possess. During the Advent of the Extraordinary, several systems were put into place and laws were enacted to adapt to the new status quo of the world.

The first of these laws was the Quirk Registration Act which mandated that all individuals with Quirks must register their abilities with the government by the age of five which coincided with the common, latest age that quirks manifested. Of course, the law did account for late bloomers who manifested their quirks at a later age. Regardless of when one's quirk manifests, it is mandatory to get it registered with the government ASAP under the threat of a fine and/or jail time. Additionally, all citizens are required to update their registration information if anything changes with their Quirk or they discover new things about their quirk that they were previously unaware of.

In addition to the Quirk Registration Act, several other laws were enacted which are collectively called The Quirk Restriction Laws. These laws were meant to preserve order in society.

Certain Quirks are heavily restricted. The most commonly restricted Quirks are ones that have to do with the generation of substances as they hold the dangerous potential to destabilize markets and destroy economies.

Public display of Quirks is against the law; however, minor uses of Quirks in public are typically ignored by most bystanders and officers. For example, most people won't bat an eye at a man using their Telekinesis Quirk to tie their own shoes.

Using one's Quirk with the intention to harm other people is an especially egregious crime. Of course, with the rise of villains, the laws were changed to allow for individuals to use their Quirk for self-defense only. The law, however, does not protect unlicensed individuals who attempt to use their Quirk to defend someone else from harm.

Individuals may only use their Quirk in public if they are licensed to do so. There are three such licenses: Provisional Hero Licenses, Hero Licenses, and Work Licenses.

Provisional Hero Licenses grant individuals the authority to use their Quirks for things such as rescuing people or engaging villains and criminals on sight. This privilege only extends to emergency situations, and it does not allow for acts such as villain hunting. Those who are found abusing their Provisional License are subject to fines and having their license revoked. Individuals enrolled at Hero Schools or Hero Agency Training Programs are able to earn their Provisional Hero License by passing the Provisional Hero License Exam.

Hero Licenses grant individuals the same privileges as the Provisional Hero License; however, they have no such restrictions on when an individual can use their quirks to exercise their heroic duties. Hero Licenses are granted to those who graduate from a Hero School or complete their Hero Agency Training Program.

Work Licenses grant individuals the ability to use their Quirks to complete work. Work Licenses are easier to get compared to a Hero License. It only requires that an individual complete the necessary paperwork and be an employee of an officially registered business.
