Sui is what someone would describe as a "drama queen." On the surface, he's very bubbly, outgoing, and inquisitive with people making him seem like someone that is easy to get along with and to some degree, there is truth to that- only on the surface though. He wouldn't hesitate to spark up a conversation with a stranger, give out a shallow compliment, or find his way to cozy up to someone and make them feel good about themselves. Sui may not be so introspective or he would come to realize that he only does this to be liked and praised by others. He's really quite egotistical and self-absorbed, finding most of his joy in being fawned over which may go under the radar with those he doesn't have closer relationships with. With those closer to him, the truth tends to come out. That's when it can be discovered that Sui isn't as nice as may originally appear and he can be snarky and catty with people for little reasons. Now this doesn't mean he's a bad person per-say, but it's just that his personality isn't the most digestible for those who [i]really [/i]get to know him.

Sui is fair-skinned with black scruffy hair, with a braided ponytail falling from the back. He is slenderly built, but is muscular and lean at the same time, making him appear like an athlete who participates in sports with a balance between endurance, speed, and strength [i]or[/i] he could just be a dancer. Not only his body slender, but his face is slender, his nose is slender, his hands and fingers, his mouth, and his eyes are slender which makes it appear like he’s always grinning mischeviously.

Sui was raised as a single child in one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in Tokyo by his two loving parents. Well, raised may not be the term that Sui would use. From a young age, Sui found himself feeling neglected by his two busy, very busy parents. Growing up in an affluent neighbourhood came at a cost, which was time and affection from his parents. They weren’t entirely absent like some other stories, but they never entirely present either. His parents used their money to fill the gap of time and affection, paying for nanny after nanny to take care of Sui and be there for him in their absence. It may have not been as thoughtful as described and may have just been a way to relieve themselves of responsibility, but it was something rather than nothing.
Dealing with an emptiness from a lack of affection from his parents, coupled with a self-centredness from his paid nannies bending at his every whim created a dichotomy inside of the young boy. Furthermore, from young he was enrolled in class after class and taught by tutor after tutor in things such as piano, choir, dance, gymnastics, and ice-skating-- things the young boy excelled in and was praised for. He was held up as a trophy in front of company for his accomplishments more than he was valued for just being their child. This resulted in his parents and his inner-self putting an emphasis on excelling to be praised by others, as if to fill some gap in himself to be worthy.
In his loneliness, Sui sought out other figures to comfort him. Heroes, mainly. He saw how they jumped to peoples’ rescue at the drop of a dime and any sound of crime, saving the day from the bad guys. It inspired him! Not for the reasons one may think though, such as being valiant, generous, courageous, or self-sacrificing. No, Sui was more astonished by how much they excelled at what they did, their status, and how they were praised by all of those around them. In his mind, they must have been very happy people with all the affirmations and love they received!
So as he got older, Sui pursued heroics and his parents supported him, it was just another reason to show off their trophy son they couldn’t find a few intentional minutes to spend with. Nonetheless, with money backing him and a skillfullness he developed with his quirk, Sui thrived in school and made into UA Heroics without a hitch.

[b]QUIRK DESCRIPTION:[/b] This quirk allows the user to manipulate the friction of their own body and whatever surfaces they are in contact with. By manipulating the friction of a surface, Sui can make a surface (or himself) extremely rough or smooth to touch. The degree of friction manipulation ranges anywhere from increasing the friction levels to slow or halt a foe to the surface or decreasing friction levels to make a smooth surface that is slippery and hard to traverse or grip onto. Friction allows the user to cling on to any known surface, be it rough or smooth, thanks to the users' skin being able to produce wart-shaped bumps that can rise at will and allow the user to cling and climb to surfaces.
At it’s current level, Sui is capable of affecting the friction of his whole body or conversely, may increase or decrease the friction of half his body (ex. Lower half of body being high friction, while upper half is low friction).
[b]QUIRK DRAWBACKS:[/b] The user can manipulate the surface texture of any surface they are in contact with; but this effect is promptly removed after contact with said surface has been broken. Due to the nature of this quirk, when a surface’s friction is changed, its an area of effect and everyone on that surface will experience it- making it troubling when working in groups. Friction isn’t to be confused with density, hence reducing the friction of a surface may make it smooth but will not change it’s mass. The effectiveness of his quirk depends on the surface he's adjusting; for example, ice he can't make rough enough to halt someone's movement, while conversely gravel is difficult to make slippery. When using his quirk on a surface, if liquids coating are coating that surface it can interfere with his quirk, such as resulting in the loosening of an adhesive or hydroplaning. Those with alternate forms of movement, like flight, can also evade this quirk easily.

Its safe to say that Marie practically lives in her own head. It's own sanctuary, her palace, and the one place in life she can completely control. She's disciplined herself to the point where almost every thought in her mind has some sort of practical purpose, though that doesn't necessarily mean they are all useful. Most of the time, Marie will come across like she's ignoring you, and there's a pretty decent likelihood that she is. Though even if she's fully invested, her mind would rattle with about 100 different alternate directions she could lead a conversation. Regardless, she absolutely hates being pulled from her own thoughts, and she hates chaos breaking her perfect mental organization.
Needless to say, she can be a little hard to communicate with. She understands its a flaw, though its one she's never really been able to overcome. Most of the time she emphasizes for anyone that has to talk to her, given just how difficult she can be. Its often said that actions speak louder than words, and oftentimes Marie will attempt to makeup for her lackluster words with actions. She would be the first person to remember an Ice Cream flavor you ordered 4 years ago and order it for you again, assuming you still liked it. Understanding her weaknesses, she's the first to defer to someone more qualified when it comes to pep talks, consoling a victim, or matters of the heart.
On the same token, she expects to be deferred to when the situation calls for it. Obviously, she's incredibly smart, and she knows it. Whenever a situation calls for academic knowledge or medical expertise, she knows she should be making the call. If her knowledge in one of these fields is ignored or overruled, she'd take it as a personal attack on her competence. Sometimes she struggles to realize how it comes off, but it does give her a bit of a prickly reputation. For all her poor people skills, she really does live for the sake of other people. She sees her gifts as just a natural way to aid the world around her, and her frustration often spawns from her feeling like she can't help people good enough.
A similar insecurity is just how she views herself. With all of her issues, she doesn't feel like she is a hero worth admiring. Beyond that, she often struggles with just being seen publicly. She's always the first to deflect any kind of attention, and would gladly accept a quieter role in the shadows if she could. Unfortunately for her, her quirk makes it incredibly difficult to avoid attention, and is most practically used in the field.

Marie may not seem like it, but she's incredibly self-conscious about her appearance. She puts in an extensive amount of work before even daring to step foot in public. She attempts to carry herself like a model or celebrity, though that facade typically cracks away immediately once she starts talking. Her long purple hair is perfectly kept, styled in a way to perfectly accentuate her lavender eyes. She's not the tallest around (normally), but she's much stronger than she looks. She's decently busty as well, much to her own embarrassment. Her outfits are meticulously designed and often on the cutting edge of fashion. She can easily freak out if she realizes her outfit might be a tad out of season. Like many aspects of her life, her appearance is just one program that exists to be optimized.
When practicing medicine, treating injured heroes or conducting research, she wears a fairly standard white labcoat. She prefers to keep them on the shorter side, since she often has to move around a lot. Like most of her outfits, she prefers to pair the clinical whites with her own brand of purple. She'll also forgo her contacts for more traditional glasses when she needs perfect accuracy.

On the other hand, she's a completely different person alone. She prioritizes comfort over all else, and often wearing the baggiest clothing that she can. Her typical favorites involve a hoodie and sweatpants, though that varies based off the weather. She wouldn't be want to caught dead dressing like this, but it is when she feels happiest. Beyond just staying at home and playing video games, she will only dress casually around people she trusts the most.

And below all of her clothing she wears a fairly plain black jumpsuit. Unlike her more fashionable outfits, this is worn purely for its utility. Being made of a special fabric, it will actually grow alongside Marie comfortably. People have often encouraged her to do something more unique with her heroic attire, but she never considered it worth the extra investment it would take to make it.

For as long as Marie could remember, she had a book in her hand. Before Marie could walk, she remembered reading. Before Marie could say a word, she remembered reading. Before she's ever seen the sunlight, she remembered reading. And before having her own name, Marie remembered sticking her nose in whatever book she could get her hands on.
The circumstances of her own birth are a mystery to her, and one she's not particularly fussed with solving. Did she have loving parents? That seemed unlikely. Was she left at an orphanage? That was somewhat probable. Was she a virgin birth? Any logic would dictate not, but she also couldn't rule it out. What she did know was where she ended up, and just why she ended up there.
Just outside of London, some upstart and incredibly unregulated geneticists set up their own little underground farm. Marie was just one of the lucky children raised in the program, though they would simply call her Subject 8. Unfortunately that number would always feel much closer to her real name. It was the first thing she'd ever respond to, and it was the symbol branded permanently onto her upper back.
The researchers were attempting to understand and manipulate quirk biology in a way any government would deem immoral. Innocent children be damned, they were going to achieve their goals. To this day, Marie doesn't fully understand what those goals were. Were they attempting to weaponize them? Possibly. What is some sort of indoctrination? Maybe. Was her own quirk even natural? Unfortunately she'll never know.
Strangely enough, there was a library. Marie wasn't sure why captured children were given that particular luxury, but she figured it must have played into their goals somehow. None of the other children really spent their time there, but she couldn't blame them. Its not like they knew how to read, and she was no different. But she learned. Starting from square one was surprising easy at such an early stage in life.
Whenever she was free of the experiments, she'd pour herself into some new book. By the time she was 6, her efforts were noticed by the various scientists. That, or maybe something in her test results interested them. Either way, they would spend hours with her in the library. They taught her how to speak, what her own number was, and how the words in the library were all linked together. It was a strange connection in hindsight, but it changed her entire limited worldview.
Just as she was truly discovering the wonders of education, the heroes would arrive. It happened when her and the other children were asleep, though the commotion easily woke them. The whole situation was a massive blur, both literally and figuratively. In the span of a few hours, she was finally taken out of the lab and saw the sun for the first time. Understandably, she cried.
Over the next weeks, the subjects would all be taken in by a boarding school, with specialized courses to try and get them caught up on normal existence. Though, Marie naturally stood out from the other subjects. Her almost single-minded desire to learn had remained, and set her well above her peers. Though this cycle would repeat itself when she was transferred to join the regular students. For years she would consistently overperform expectations of every educator she worked with.
Along with academic success came a new challenge. Forming her own identity and self-worth took her many years. For as much as she thought, she hardly ever thought of herself. Lacking her own dreams or aspirations, it seemed logical to pursue the dreams and aspirations of others. From her understanding, becoming both a medical practitioner and hero seemed like the most effective way to do so. Her quirk was objectively one of the more useful in terms of public safety, and her academic skill seemed uniquely poised to the rigorous of medical school. Beyond that, it felt like the next evolution of her experience. Her body was already used in the further research of quirks, she figured she could continue that practice more ethically.
With a new objective as a guiding light, she finally started to grow into her own person. To signify this, she finally chose a name for herself. She'd name herself Marie Descartes, after both an inspirational chemist and philosopher. Though it did confuse some of her caretakers, considering she was assigned male at birth.
Given her savant status, she continued to push the limits of her own success. She'd achieve her doctorate from Oxford at the age of 18, only to immediately enter U.A. to pursue a professional hero license. While she had a bit more difficulty with the four year program, she would graduate again at 22 years old. With all of the education necessary to pursue both of her passions, it became quite obvious how hard it was to balance it all. Though she would eventually find a job opportunity that let her do both.
While Maxima was a bit loud and excessive for her tastes, it was easy to recognize the good they did. It also happened that they had a practical use for both a hero and a doctor specialized in treating heroes. The fact that she could lead the medical staff certainly sweetened the deal. Unfortunately for her, she'll just have to get used to the limelight...

- Her increased size makes her unable to dodge most enemy attacks, between her being a massive target and evasive maneuvers requiring precise footwork. Taking just about every hit enemies throw at her is very taxing on her durability.
- While she can alter her size at will, rapid size changing will cause her to feel a dramatic sense of vertigo. Usually her mind needs to adjust to her new size before she can properly act. The more size-changing she does in a short timeframe, the most delirious and fatigued she ends up being.

I’m just a normal dude trying to make a living in a cold and cruel world. Some might call me a villain, but I disagree. The term “villain,” should only be used for homicidal maniacs with dreams of world domination. Nah, that’s not me. Anyway, I guess you can say that I am pretty charismatic. Or at least, that’s what I’ve been told. Well, someone said specifically that I am like an “insidious black hole of charisma. Who crushes people with self-destructive tendencies.” To be rather frank, I dunno what the guy was talking about. But, I will admit that I can be a bit reckless and impulsive at times. Which can lead me to making stupid decisions and doing stupid stuff like attacking a high ranking Yakuza member for an indecent joke. And I have been called an overconfident and egomatic prick with a knack for destruction. But, what do they know? Maybe they should stop saying stupid stuff.

Drop dead gorgeous. That’s one word you can use to describe. Some other words you can use are God's gift to mankind, the most handsome thing that you’ve ever seen, or maybe, Yuji God of Beauty and good looks. Just don’t call me prince charming–I might be charming, but I'm certainly not a prince. Anyway, I and others consider myself a good-looking man, paled skinned, tall, and built like a Greek god. In all seriousness, I stand about six foot one, I possess pale skin, and I have a runner’s build. I usually keep my hair short on the sides and long up top, occasionally, I’m known to dye my black hair blue or at least have blue highlights or a blue streak. Now for clothing, I like to dress for comfort. So I usually wear joggers or sweatpants, a nice pair of shoes, and a sweater or short sleeve shirt of some sorts. Now, you can usually catch me wearing a leather jacket with a fur collar, that’s my signature jacket, don’t touch it.[/font]

My mom and dad were kind people. But, unfortunately, they weren’t that rich and well, they didn’t have a lot of money. They lived in a small apartment complex, just two bedrooms, and a very small living room. Both mom and dad worked all-night, leaving me and my siblings often in the care of my grandparents. All in all, I suppose I didn’t really know my parents that well? While they were there for me at special events and whatnot, my mom and dad mostly worked all day and night. So, I didn’t see them much.
Some might think that's sad, but honestly, that’s just life. They did what they can, and well, isn’t that all that matters?
In a sense my childhood was normal. When my granddad watched me he often brought his old comic books–ancient things they were–and read them to me. I am ashamed to admit that, as a kid I wanted to be a hero. At the time, I didn’t really know how stupid being a hero was nor did I understand how corrupt and one-sided the system was. I didn’t learn that until later in life. Before then, I was this over eager, obnoxious brat who thought he could change the world–I was stupid–really stupid.
But all kids are stupid at that age.
My life changed forever when I was thirteen years old. There was some sort of hero and villain fighting, and well, an incident happened and well a building fell on my mom and dad–that’s an odd thing to say, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. To make matters worse, it wasn’t even the fault of the villain. In fact, the villain wasn’t even a villain. He was a mentally ill man that was losing control over his quirk. It was a huge scandal, a huge scandal. Like, it was on the news and everything. The “hero” was brought up on murder charges. It went to court. And all that jazz.
But apparently, justice wasn’t there that day. The hero got away scott free.
It sucked, but it woke me to the true truth of the world.
There is no justice. There is no good and evil.
So, after that, I was placed in the custody of my grandparents. And to be honest, I was a bad kid. Not to them of course. I loved my Papa and Grandma. But to everyone else I was a menace. I took what I want, when I want, and how I want. In short, I became a thief, a pickpocket, and well, I may have even done some business with the Yakuza. I did anything I could to make my Papa and Grandma’s life better. Of course, all in secret. I didn’t want to break their hearts.
Eventually, as I got older I started to do more criminal stuff. And as soon as I turned eighteen, I decided to join the Yakuza in hopes of making my grandparents' life better.

-Despite being somewhat resistant to the effects of his quirk, the user is not entirely immune. Overusing his frost-fire can cause his body temperature to drop. Furthermore, once reaching these dangerously low temperatures the user must rely on outside sources to heat himself up.
-While Yuji can manipulate and control the “cold-flame,” he cannot control or manipulate the ice it creates–other than physically interacting with it normally. Meaning, that he cannot reshape the ice or exert any control over it once the “cold-flame” creates the ice. Likewise, the ice the user creates is "normal."
-Cold-fire does not require oxygen to “combust.” And for that reason, depriving the cold-flames of oxygen does not “snuff” them out. However, the cold-flames do require nitrogen instead of oxygen. Therefore, removing nitrogen within the atmosphere will prevent Yuji from using his quirk.
-Cold-fire does not spread like normal fire.

Nikolai isn't a [i]nice[/i] person, but he isn't a [i]mean[/i] person either. He's somewhere in between! He isn't all that friendly with most, but doesn't mind having conversations even though he'd prefer to avoid the jumpy, bubbly, and talkative types. He just doesn't have the energy nor sense of humour to keep up with them. Despite his sometimes "cold" demeanour, Nikolai is a man of principles. At least, his principles. He is trustworthy with those he befriends and would lend a hand to someone struggling, though he would prefer if someone else did it for him.

Nikolai was born into a poor family in a small village in Russia. As a youth, Nikolai was much more innocent at heart, caring, and loving, as they were traits he learned from his mother. Though the family did not have a lot of money, Nikolai's mother served as warmth for Nikolai and his younger sibling. Their father was a hard working man but cold and refrained from showing any affection or emotion, even to his own wife. Despite the lack of his presence, he instilled certain values into his children, though often through a cold and aggressive means.The siblings were not overly affected by their father's attitude though because they had their mother to rely on, who they spent most of their time with.
Things would change for the family when Nikolai's quirk manifested at age 9. Before his quirk manifested, Nikolai would always cry thinking that he would not be blessed with quirk like the rest of his friends, but his mother was there to comfort him all the time and cease the distress he was feeling. So when Nikolai ran up to her one day and showed her he could create massive explosions, she was very excited and happy for her son who dreamt of this day. Little did they know, Nikolai's quirk was far more powerful and dangerous than any regular explosion.
As Nikolai spent most of his time with his mother and younger sibling, they were the first to feel the affects of his quirk. It did not take long for his mother and younger sibling to be end up hospitalized and clearly suffering from sort of illness. Nikolai who remained healthy couldn't understand it, nor could his father. When the hospital ran tests on his mother and younger sibling, they found that their bodies were exposed to an extremely high level of radiation that resulted in the formation of cancer cells in their body.
His father, who was usually cold and reserved, showed concern for his family's health and tried to stay by their side throughout. He even asked the doctors to check himself and Nikolai for any cancer cells or radiation exposure. What he found out... changed everything. The doctors let the father know that Nikolai's body had signs of radiation exposure too, but something was different about the boy. After being subjected to test after test like a guinea pig, doctors and scientists discovered Nikolai was akin to a walking nuclear bomb that had no container and was oozing off radiation.
Nikolai was the one who unknowingly exposed his family to the radiation that was now killing them.
Devastated and angered to hear the news, his father became even colder with Nikolai. As some sort of mercy though, his father never revealed the news to Nikolai's bedridden mother and younger sibling. It only took three weeks in the hospital for Nikolai's mother to pass away, with her husband by her side and her son, Nikolai, at home locked in a basement.
After her death, Nikolai's father became depressed and hardly ever interacted with or acknowleged Nikolai. To avoid others and himself getting sick, his father thought it was best to lock Nikolai away... away from everyone and everything. Nikolai couldn't understand why at such a young age, but he came to understand as he got older when he came to terms with his power and his father explained them to him through a steel door at the top of their basement. He was responsible for the death of his mother.[/div]

One day when Nikolai was 16, Nikolai realized that his father had not come to the door at the top of the stairs for a week. Now, it wasn't unusual for his father not to say a word to him or bring him food for a day or two at a time, but a week felt strange. Being his only family member left, regardless of his father treated him, Nikolai was concerned and panicked and blew off the hinge of the steel doors using his quirk. What he discovered was worse than he could imagine. His father hanging from a makeshift nuse made of blankets in their living room.
Seeing his tough and cold father resort to suicide struck Nikolai with a piercing pain that he changed him forever. But at some point, that became too much for himself or his body to bare and he changed for the worst. With no where to go, Nikolai learned to survive on his own.

[b]QUIRK DRAWBACKS:[/b] The drawbacks of this quirk is that its user can only use it to a limiting degree due to the explosive and damaging nature of the quirk. Nikolai can use his quirk for a limited time before experiencing the adverse affects of his quirk, mainly the burning of his skin and a weakened health state. Due to the explosive nature of nuclear energy, controlling the output of the quirk is difficult, resulting in emission of the quirk coming out in quick and short bursts rather than sustained. Additionally, due to the nature of the nuclear energy, the nuclear energy cannot be contained and moulded into refined sustainable constructs (ie. couldn't make a item, platform, etc.), but can only emit large orb blasts, explosions and beams.
