1. Members should post/message in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

2. This site is rated PG-13. What this means is that swearing, cursing, and violence are permissible; however, keep it in moderation. Explicit sexual content is strictly prohibited: suggestive comments, gestures, and references are fine, but we ask that you fade to black before when things get too inappropriate.

3. We ask that members avoid discussing sensitive or controversial subjects OOC. More often than not they tend to escalate into heated debates. FFJ is not the site to discuss such matters.

3. Plagiarism is absolutely forbidden here. Plagiarism involves stealing work from others and claiming it as your own. This rule will be strictly enforced. Members that are caught plagiarizing will be subject to disciplinary action.

4. Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes inappropriate advertising, solicitation, etc. Recruiting members for your own forums (members, moderators, etc.) is not permitted and is also considered spam. If you wish to advertise your forum, please do refer to our Advertisement Rules. Users posting spam will be warned and their inappropriate posts/messages will be removed.

5. We ask that when you come into conflict with another player you attempt to solve it respectfully and peacefully amongst yourselves first in private. If you are unable to or are uncomfortable doing so, ask the staff to intervene.

1. No god modding or metagaming is allowed. Godmodding is controlling another member's character and their actions. Metagaming is using OOC (out of character) knowledge in order to influence IC (in character) decisions.

2. Player communication should be your highest priority. Remember that you should always talk with your thread partner(s) if you're ever unsure about something. Player communication is especially important in combat-based interactions. Player consent is quite important, but if you ever reach a disagreement that you can't settle amongst yourselves, you can always consult a member of staff for an impartial ruling.

3. All major plot elements must be approved by staff. This includes, but is not limited to, significant changes to the site plot that extend beyond your character's personal authority. For instance, nobody can claim that any nation has gone to war in recent history or that their parents were the #1 Hero/Villain in any location. Other influential people such as world leaders, major regions within a country, heads of law enforcement, mayors, etc. are too important for just anyone to dictate. As such, if you wish to include such individuals or events in your plot, it must first be approved by staff.

A rule of thumb to help avoid these situations would be to not speak in absolutes. Instead of saying that your character’s parents were the #1 hero, just say that they were a “top hero.” That leaves room for interpretation as there are many “top” heroes in the world. Another would be claiming to be the “most” of anything: the richest, the most influential, the most reviled, etc. All of those kinds of things are a quick way to get a rejection from staff or, if necessary, retconned out.

4. You are not RPing within a personal bubble. FFJ is a community, and your characters’ actions don’t solely affect them all the time. That is to say, that doesn't mean that everything you do will have an impact on someone, so perhaps try not to ascribe too much importance to every little thing that your character does. Something as major as a student being kidnapped or assaulted by villains is going to spark an immediate and high-level response. Assassinating political figures would not go unnoticed or just simply fall under the radar without some heavy repercussions. Talk to the necessary parties about your plots because they may very well be impacted by your choices, or—at the very least—might have some ways to make the idea plausible/better.

3. Predetermined relationships with source material characters are not allowed. We operate in an AU setting where they do not exist. You are not allowed to have any relationships with any canon characters in your history nor are you allowed to meet or reference them. It's not allowed to use canon characters as face-claims either.

4. This forum operates on liquid time — meaning that you are allowed to be in as many threads as you want simultaneously. Just try to maintain some sort of timeline so that you don't create time paradoxes.

5. We ask that if someone is holding up one of your threads for longer than 3 days (72 Hours) you contact them privately to find out if they intend on posting anytime soon. Regardless of if they respond to you or not, you are free to skip their turn 24 hours after your initial attempt of contact. If they do respond to your message and state that they don't intend on posting for a period of time that you consider too long and you wish to skip them, that is entirely your decision. Remember not to godmod if you do end up skipping someone's turn, however.

6. If a thread's title does not contain [OPEN] in the title or an OOC message within the post stating that anyone can join, then you are to assume that it is closed/invite-only and respect that.

1. Players may have up to a maximum of six characters and one OOC account on the site, not counting additional starts. Each character must have its own account. Along with this, each character, exempting NPC's, must be 18 years of age or older.

Update 11/16/2024: You can now have unlimited characters as long as you meet the requirements listed in bullet point #6 below!

2. There are six different types of Character Starts:

• Standard Start - You have an unlimited number of Standard Starts. With the Standard Start, you begin with 15,000 EXP and 3 Limit Break Points that you may allocate as you see fit.
• Advanced Start - You have one Advanced Start. With the Advanced Start, you begin with 50,000 EXP and 5 Limit Break Points that you may allocate as you see fit.
• Expert Start - You have one Expert Start. Expert Starts begin with 100,000 EXP and 7 Limit Break Points that you may allocate as you see fit.
• New Game Plus (NG+) - A New Game Plus is a very unique start in that it takes a pre-existing character and transfers some of their progress onto a new character account. A New Game Plus is always combined with one of the aforementioned Character Starts.
• 30k Start - You can unlock one 30k Start through the event shop. The 30k Start may take you above the six character limit and begins with 30,000 EXP and 4 Limit Break Points that you may allocate as you see fit.
• 75k Start - You can unlock one 75k Start through the event shop. The 75k Start may take you above the six character limit and begins with 75,000 EXP and 6 Limit Break Points that you may allocate as you see fit.

3. We operate in an AU Setting. Canon characters do not exist. As such, you are not allowed to reference them in your profile (or anywhere on the site for that matter). Furthermore, you may not use canon characters as faceclaims either.

4. You may not drastically affect the lore of any specific location such as the U.S., Japan, etc. in your backstory. That is, you may not claim that your character is related to the Number One Hero in Korea, Germany is a war-torn country, etc.

5. When you retire a character, you may elect to salvage some of their gains for a new character. This process is known as New Game Plus (NG+). To do so, you must submit the below form to the Thread Inbox. If the character has less than 25 IC posts, this will not incur any sort of penalty. If the character has more than 25 IC posts, however, you will only be able to carry over half of the character's total EXP (not counting the free EXP granted to them by their Standard, Advanced, or Expert Start) and half of their Limit Break Points (rounded up and not counting their Limit Break Points earned through Quirk Progression).

6. As highlighted per the edit for the update, you are now able to make as many characters as you want. Before you do you MUST follow the rules listed below:

• 1 - You must have purchased all available slots (30k and 75k). You don't need to be actively using them you just need to have spent the tokens required to unlock them!
• 2 - All additional characters slots are considered 0k starts, which means you will not start with ANY exp on them. [They start with 3 Limit Breakers]
• 3 - 0k Starts cannot and will not EVER be able to benefit from a NG+ or be NG+'d
• 4 - When submitting a character as a 0k Start you must have 0k in the title of the app. ex. Matsu [0k]
