The onset of quirks has changed society in so many ways. From the mundane to the revolutionary, it has shaped the very world we live into this day. Some in society strain against this new status quo while others seek to exploit it.[break]
The man known as The Elementalist is one such.[break]
Long ago, he was a simple scientist doing his best to help society and work with those having trouble adjusting to the new norm. This work soon turned down a dark path, ultimately ending with Elementalist failing in his original goal and now awaiting trial for his crimes.[break]
However, things don’t always work out the way you hope. During his trial, multiple threats would be dispatched at the same time in different wards of Tokyo. With the whole city on alert, the suppression/evacuation of these areas has begun.[break]

Welcome to the first Main site event; Elementals!

For those of you who have been around for a while, this is the official return of Boss Threads, which has been a thing in the past prior to the reboot! For the uninformed Boss Threads, as they sound, you and a group of other players will be trying to take down a ‘boss tier’ enemy combatant.[break]
These boss fights are themed after the 5 elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Metal. Each of these major threads follows the theme in a way and has different objectives listed below! Hopefully, this lets you all make a somewhat informed decision as to which character and thread is most appropriate for you without ruining the surprise entirely![break]

[attr="class","likedosub"]Thread Types and Event Rules

This event has two types of threads: Boss Threads and Support Threads.[break]
Boss Threads involve a fight with a boss-tier enemy to achieve victory, whether that’s through combat or other methods. The Thread Name/Thread Focus and accompanying rules/expectations are listed below.[break]

• The Rumbling [Earth]: (Defense/Crowd Control)
• The Storm [Air]: (Combat/Survival)
• The Tortured [Metal]: (Combat/Defense/Crowd Control)
• The Enlightened [Space]: (Combat/Survival) 

The following are the rules/expectations for Boss Thread participation[break]

1. As a player, you can only sign up ONE of your characters for a boss thread. This may change depending on the volume of sign-ups.
2. A fairly rigid posting schedule of 4 days per post will exist. Once the rotation has been established before the thread goes up, you have four days from either the last moderator or PC post to reply. You will get one pass if you need to be skipped, but if it happens again after that, you’ll be removed from the thread.
3. The threads themselves are dynamic, with planned phases and ‘bad ends’ depending on the actions of everyone in the thread. So don’t be surprised if things turn out differently than you expected!
4. As you’ll see on the signup below, we ask that you list your top three preferences for Boss Threads, and we’ll try to assign you to your ideal one! If you have no preference, feel free to leave it blank, but it should be noted that if a particular thread is popular, we will pick randomly from the pool of signups, and you’ll be assigned to another thread. EVERYONE who wants to be a part of a boss thread will get one, so don’t worry!

Support Threads will take place in the same ward as the boss fights themselves but won’t be directly involved in the conflict. These threads have much lighter elements than what you can experience in the main boss threads and will have you working to navigate the situation in a much wider scope.[break]

• Alloy [Metal]: (Light Combat/Defense/Crowd Control)

The following are the rules/expectations for Support Thread participation[break]

1. You can sign up multiple characters for these support threads, but this does not mean extra rewards. This is entirely of your own volition!
2. Unlike the boss threads, these don’t have a posting schedule but will close on December 1st. Even without the rigid schedule, please remember that to receive rewards, you must have participated a meaningful amount subject to staff review.
3. There won’t be a significant presence in the same way as the boss threads. Any potential oppositional force will have lower attributes than the boss threads.

Players can earn a maximum of 150 Event Tokens by participating in the Event. This works out to 75 Tokens flat per character per thread. Boss Threads and Support Threads are both worth 75 Tokens.
