✧ THE INFERNO ✧

Shinjuku, 5:57 PM, Monday.

The arraignment of the man known as ‘The Elementalist ‘ was running on the major Tokyo News channels. A dangerous man who had caused the Tokyo government a severe headache by illegally experimenting on quirkers through a government-funded facility. He was well known by the populace of Japan as he became linked to a human trafficking ring as the allegations came out. Some people were found heavily mutated, and others… were never found.

For all accounts, it should have been a normal day. It sure seemed that way with the usually busy streets of Tokyo continued, ignorant of the immense devastation that would befall them in just a few minutes. Those tuning into the courtroom would find the judge listing off the Elementalist’s extensive rap sheet and then ask for a plea. The silence was palpable until the man exhaled and spoke

“Not Guilty.” The courtroom was in an uproar over this as his crimes were undeniable. Still, The Elementalist would continue, “I did this to help. I would, and I WILL do it again.” A smirk appeared on his face, and his features would begin to melt into a green goo-like substance. The ballif would attempt to use quirk nullification to detain him, and to the shock of the rest of the courtroom, this would fail as The Elementalist would fade, leaving some cryptic parting words

“They will take care of everything”

Shibuya, 6:00 PM, Monday.

Not even a few minutes after The Elementalist's speech, a faint orange glow could be seen from below the ground in the center of Shibuya, warping the pavement and causing it to bubble. Without warning, a fire would burst forward, shooting into the air before merging into a smoldering human form with red eyes, horns, and a very unnerving smile.


“IM FREEEEEEEEEEEE!” it called out, alerting everyone to its presence. “Little too crowded in here, and I’m gonna do some remodeling!” Clearly, whatever this was, it was crazy as the fire that surrounded it condensed inwards before shooting out a wave of fireballs about the size of a soccer ball in all directions. This would catch several buildings and people on fire, with the screams and panic clearing out the area quickly. Several of these fireballs would turn into tiny creatures and scatter throughout the region, lighting any flammable material first with just their touch, infesting the ward with them. While that was happening, the being would start moving, torching anything and anyone in its path

OOC: Welcome to The Inferno! I’m so excited to have you all here! Your first post should involve dealing with the Rumbling Golem directly, meeting up with each other on the scene or dealing with the fallout of its appearance. Otherwise, have fun and good luck!! Starting from this post we will be going by our pre-established posting order, meaning the next person in line has a maximum of 4 days to reply and so on. The deadline is strict, but I can remind you when you have 24 hours left if you need it.

Additionally, if you want to plan a cool character moment ahead of time, like making a heroic sacrifice or setting up a team attack, but want to keep it a surprise to the other people in the boss thread until it happens, feel free to sneak into my DMs so we can plan out the details! This is not mandatory, but I want to make sure every character shines and looks their best during this boss thread!

Miroru chewed on her lower lip as she stood with several others in one of the alleys in Shibuya. She'd been on her way to try to find some cheaper stores to get some new clothes with the pittance of pocket change she'd been sent by some of her more sympathetic relatives, but she'd been distracted by the broadcast of the Elementalist's trial. His final pronouncement was ominous in the extreme, and those crowded around the cheap TV set outside the sketchy cafe looked at each other nervously in its aftermath.

Being neither familiar, nor in the heart of that group, Miroru peeled off and kept walking back towards the train station to head back to the school. She hadn't had much luck, unfortunately, and she'd lost patience in seeing price tags with extra zeroes she couldn't aff-

The fox's ears went upright abruptly, stopping dead in the mouth of an alley. Something was wrong. She could sense a tremendous amount of infrared heat screaming underground, but that wasn't possi-

The street melted and erupted, releasing some sort of screeching monstrosity, howling about its freedom and unleashing literal hell onto the streets. Miroru's brain scrambled in the first second or two, shocked by the sudden outbreak of violence, but instinct bit its way to the surface an instant later, and as a scant few of those fireballs soared towards her particular street, she threw her hands out, clenching them into fists as she drew those fireballs racing towards the buildings near her and redirected them all towards herself. As the handful of blazes hurtled downwards, she drew her arms back- and shoved them forwards last second, smashing the front half of the majority of the fireballs right back into the rest of the flames, erasing each in a splashing twist of plasma. The last couple crashed directly into her palms- and vanished in a haze of sparks, devoured by the petite fox's quirk and metabolized into a couple bands of light stored around her wrists, glowing angrily as she fought to keep herself from freaking out as the cinders settled around her.

She shoved a hand in her pocket and pulled up the emergency report app on her phone, mashing the panic button to turn on her GPS and pair her own declaration of villain activity with her GPS location, adding it to the no doubt hundreds or thousands of identical reports already going out.

In the back of her head, she was screaming. This was what she'd always tried to avoid, blatant heroic action without proper licensing. She was still a student and the last thing she wanted was to get nailed for vigilante work before she could finish her courses. But- she couldn't not. She couldn't stand by and let it all just happen. She could help... so she was going to. She had to, and she started by looking around for anyone that might help- or that might be working with the flaming wretch!

I can pay no price too great for justice.

"Thank you Mr. Verchetty." The interviewer would straighten his necktie, before looking to the camera and turning it off. "Phew, it's weird doing an interview that's so personal." The phoenix would look over to Chloe, a bit apprehensive at the fact that they had gone from lovers to friends in such a short span. Though he'd done a lot of things with Chloe, this was the first time that he'd went out to do a food review with him.

Chloe had gotten into posting videos online, and wanted to use someone like Auden a s special guest to try and boost the popularity. He didn't mind, and it meant that he got free food out of it, so why would he turn it down? Clearing his palate with some water, Auden leaned back in his chair and looked over to the TV. Currently, the trial was on for The Elementialist, someone that Auden had been keeping an eye on. "I can believe they're letting someone like hi-" Chloe would start, and there would be an audible gasp as they heard that he was found not guilty. "Fucking ridiculous." Chloe scoffed, only to see that his speech on the TV seemed to not be for show.

From outside the cafe's windows, there was a roar of fire came outside. It hit buildings, landed in the streets, and caused chaos for anyone that wasn't inside or protected by another means. "Chloe, you get to safety." Auden would turn and look to him, eyes full of fear; this sight was something that he'd seen too many times being under his father, and he wasn't going to let it happen again. "Just stay in here and hide, got it?" Before Auden did anything, he had to make sure that the people he cared for were okay.

Once that was done, he'd immediately head outside and look around for others on the streets, before trying to figure out the direction of where it can all came from. Was this a city wide attack, or just in this area? He had no idea, but he wasn't worried about dealing with fire.

Kyōshū was a creature of habit—not out of choice, mind you. He neither actively feared nor resisted change. His habits were born out of a subconscious routine—one of the many he had learned to develop over the years in order to function in society with his condition.

Today was a school day. Thus, his schedule consisted of going to U.A. to attend his day classes followed by working on his panels at Noyote until 7 before finally going home and doing his nightly routine and tucking in at 10. That was his schedule, and he stuck to it without fail. At least, that's what he believed.

Sluuuuurp.

He took a long sip of his latte which had started to get cold. He turned his head to look out the window and saw a massive fire and plume of smoke in the distance. "Oh my..." That's all he could say. Whatever was going on, it was nothing that he could help with. After all, he was just an ordinary boy with memory problems. He shook his head, silently prayed that whatever was happening would turn out just fine, and he went right back to working on his panels.

"Tuck and roll left."

He blinked his eyes and suddenly found himself on the battlefield, surrounded by smoke and flames. He didn't even have an opportunity to process what was going on, instinctively following the orders of that strange, yet somehow familiar, voice in his head. He dodge rolled out of the way of one of the leaping embers, coming to a kneeling stop. He looked down to his left and noticed that he was holding a steel dagger in his hand. It conjured a strange admixture of apprehension and comfort. It felt wrong to be here, like he instinctively knew that he wasn't built for fighting, and yet here he was, confronting a flaming monster.

Rui and Yagyo wanted to rob a restaurant, not for the cash in the register, but for their food. It probably sounded insane or downright stupid to most, but that was what appealed to Rui. That way, no one would see it coming!! It was the perfect crime. Naturally since they were both very high profile villains who were super cool and scary and also influential, Rui knew that they also needed a getaway driver. Anyone who's powerful could tell you having a getaway driver was essential for when the heroes showed up to the scene. The only problem was, neither Rui nor Yagyo could actually drive a car. She had asked her older brother Sho, but he didn't seem all that impressed with their plans to hold a whole establishment hostage and have them cook food for them.

Slurping on her bowl of noodles, Rui kept glancing towards the door expectantly. No heroes had arrived yet and it wasn't like the employees or other restaurant goers couldn't secretly have called the police. Part of the thrill of committing crime was being chased by the law after all. Yet no one came, not a hero, not even a police car. ''I think they're scared of us!'' She grinned at her partner in crime, fully embracing the delusion that her and Yagyo were some of Tokyo's worst villains. ''Otherwise they would've totes shown up by now!'' She finished her bowl and pushed it aside, leaving it with all the other empty plates and drinks her and Yagyo had gone through. ''Fifty heroes at least, no, one hundred!'' She held up ten fingers, before frowning, leaning her head on the table as she kicked her little legs impatiently. Clearly upset that they weren't getting the hero response she had been expecting. Oh well, she couldn't let that ruin their day.

Once Yagyo was done eating Rui would storm out of the backdoor with her. The spot where the getaway car would normally be parked was empty, but then Rui got an idea as civilians were running past them. Running from something, but she didn't notice. ''You there!'' She grinned ominously, pointing her knife at a bodybuilder.

''Do you think they started a fire in the kitchen?'' Rui asked Yagyo, noticing the smoke, as the two small villains now sitting on either shoulder of the bodybuilder, as he begrudgingly ran back towards the carnage he had been running from. ''I-It didn't start from..'' Rui shut him up by bonking him with the hilt of her knife. ''Shut up! Getaway horses don't talk!'' She sneered. Eventually their makeshift getaway 'horse' came to a stop in front of some kind of flame person. Red eyes, horns and a big smile?

This was a pro hero for sure.

''Looks like they're finally coming after us, Yagyo bestie!!'' She grinned, sliding off the bodybuilder's shoulder and holding her knife up at The Inferno. ''What's your name, hero? Let's have fun! ~''

Kanna wasn't the biggest eater by any means, and if anyone ever saw her under her 'Yagyo' costume that'd be obvious at a glance. That didn't make it less fun to hold up a place for their food, though, and she certainly enjoyed her share of the stolen rewards - just sneakily when people couldn't catch a glimpse of her inside her costume. Rui's annoyance was plain as day to her and with only a moment pause to swallow she focused on being 'Yagyo' and gave a great big laugh. Complete with one pointy-clawed hand of their costume coming up to thump flatly against the baggy cloth where their chest vaguely was. "Of course they're afraid! Even just one of us would be a handful for any pro!"

Yagyo's demeanor turned somehow thoughtful despite outwardly being covered head to toe in a costume, ears flopping slightly as their head tilted to the side and one hand came up vaguely where a chin would be if the costume actually had one and the stationary face scrunching up almost like in focused concentration. The lack of heroes showing up definitely made it less fun, so it was easy to see where Rui was coming from. How would they fix that? Yagyo had no idea, but worrying about it wasn't very fun either so they simply stopped doing that after a minute!

On their way out Yagyo was right along with Rui, claiming the opposite shoulder of the body builder, throwing both hands up over their head and declaring "A devious ploy to trap us!" in agreement and completely ignoring the attempt at correcting them. Only to nearly go tumbling off the 'getaway horse' when they changed direction, flailing stubby arms and tipping backwards and only barely regaining their balance before they fell off entirely. Focusing on the 'hero' that had started the fire, Yagyo hopped up to stand with one foot up on top of the bodybuilders head and a hand pointing towards The Inferno as Rui hopped down to the ground. With a pose struck, Yagyo declared: "It's about time, we already ate all the food we wanted! Do your best anyways, even if you're up against the spectacular Mummy and Yagyo the great!"

The Inferno grinned, laughing as the area burned around him "Yes, YES, cook them! ITS A BARBEQUE!" he screamed, only being drowned out by the chaos from his previous attack. Those caught in the crossfire cried out in pain and did their best to put out the flames. For the Inferno, this was the best day he could have asked for! To really cut loose and embrace his favorite pastime, hurting people. He had once been more human but after the experiments performed on him, he had been freed for the first time in ages. From a former Firefighter to an arsonist/mass murderer. What a tremendous fall from grace.


"Huuuuh???" he was so busy reveling in the destruction that he failed to notice the two gremlins appear in front of him until they started to speak. He loomed over them standing at an impressive seven feet tall and for a moment he froze, blinking in disbelief at the insinuation that he was some sort of hero. Did they think they were better than him? That they deserved to be in the spotlight? This disbelief soon turned into anger "Hero? HERO?!?!" In his palms two fireballs formed and he lobbed one at their "getaway horse" which ignited him and turned him into a pile of ash fairly quickly "I'M the villain. I'M IN CHARGE" he would throw the next one at Rui as she was threatening him with a knife. "EVERYONE IS GONNA DIE!"

As Auden hit the streets, he'd more likely than not run into Miroru dispersing and devouring the fireballs crashing down onto their street. As well, of course, he'd have eyes on Rui and Yagyo engaging the fiend as if he was a hero there to stop them.



Miroru, meanwhile, noted all of them, including Kyōshū tumbling agilely to the side, a familiar face from a momentary encounter. "Hey! You gotta run, dude!" She yelled at him, remembering needing to protect him from thugs previously. As she spoke, light manifested against the concrete of the street, illustrating the fastest and safest paths out of the line of fire for him and anyone else in the vicinity.



"Pretty boy! You were at the mixer, right? You're a student, too?" She called over at Auden, bracing herself. "I'm- I'm gonna stand up to this thing. I don't blame you if you want to get out of here, though. If you bolt, try to help some people get to cover on the way, okay? I lit up the safest routes with the least line of sight to that asshole! And if not- then let's find a way to stop this!"

That was all the time and breath she had for talk. She pivoted on the spot and started to run, her footsteps carrying her off the ground and into the air just above car height so she could sprint straight towards Rui, Yagyo, and the monster they were so confusingly challenging!



There was so much happening. So much flame and heat. So much danger, so much- death and pain. Miroru kept feeling it. Moving bodies disappearing in the blaze of infrared flames. Buildings crumbling and crushing those warm bodies into shapes that didn't even resemble people anymore. Every life that ticked out spiked Miroru's consciousness, drove a nail into her sense of right and wrong, chipping away at her trust in humanity.

From the Inferno's perspective, there were two moments.

One where he'd just incinerated someone to his own amusement.

And then the one that started with a word. Distant and growled.

"You..."

The Inferno probably felt it before it happened. The pressure, the pull on all those flames it had left unattended. It was clearly tremendously powerful, and in a direct contest, it likely could even have overpowered what came next, but as a surprise attack, it was likely shocking. A heartbeat, and those wildfires in the area all just DIED as their infrared heat was ripped away, the combustion abruptly lacking the energy to sustain the reactions as the heat slammed into Miroru, her wrists releasing a dramatic burst of steam as she pushed her quirk to hold all that energy as she unleashed it as well as her voice, adding a horrified shriek of fury as she converted the infrared heat into a torrent of unadulterated light aimed at what looked like the chest of the flaming demon!

"MONSTER!!!"

Miroru recognizes Kyōshū, warns him to run; recognizes Auden, tells him to come with her or try to help others escape; doesn't quite recognize Rui at such a distance, but sprints closer, then puts out the flames around her all at once by absorbing their infrared heat (which is all flames are) and converting it to a big fuck-off laser aimed at the demon!



It's totally fine if it doesn't do much besides maybe knock it around, I'm not trying to end the fight, just have a proper horrified reaction to widespread casual murder!

Fuck, he didn't even know where he was supposed to go, but he knew that he needed to get into the action. Being a hero, he always felt that there was a feeling of him needing to prove himself, no matter how that was. If he didn't prove himself, then it would be easy for people to think that he was wasting his potential or abilities. Hearing someone talk around him, he'd look at see a somewhat familiar face. "What, stand up to it?" Like sure, he was good for a good tussle, but he didn't know that he needed to fight it! Was it because she knew he was a hero and that he should be immediately going to the danger, or something else?

"I... I'm coming then!" He wasn't going to let his fellow classmate take all the credit. "I want to get there too!" Like a bolt, he would start to hurry after his fellow hero in training, trying to figure out the best maneuvers that he could think of to get there. What were they going to see when they arrived, and was it going to be something that was friend or foe? Probably the latter, but perhaps he could persuade them to back down.

With Auden tailing behind, he would see two other people there who didn't look familiar to him in the slightest. There was also a huge, ltieral inferno being as well, but Auden was a bit confused since he thought that it was metal af to see something like him. "Flames? Easy." Would his work on an all flame being? Probably not, but he'd be able to take a bit more of a beating due to literally all of his clothing being fire-resistant to a degree. Who said you can't kick ass in a dress and heels?

Looking at the monster, he would glance down to his nails, showing off his cute little rainbow painted, glittery stabbing machines. "Like, you sound way too edgy to be a villain dude. Trust me, I've been with plenty to know that you ain't shit, even if you're made of fire."

TLDR; recognizes Miroru and then follows her to the inferno. He notices Rui and Kanna, and then proceeds to say that inferno is too edgy.

You gotta run, dude!

Yes. Yes he did. He didn't belong here. He had no real idea who he was, but he knew that he most certainly wasn't cut out for whatever this was. At least, that was his knee-jerk reaction. The familiar voice in his head that both was and wasn't his told him otherwise, and he believed it. He needed to do as it told him: Focus.

He shook his head, rattling himself wide awake so that he could face the threat fully aware. He could feel his body heating up as he rose from the ground and summoned his quirk. He had no idea how he did it, but he did. It all just felt as natural to him as breathing. The fire flowed out of his body, rose up, and materialized into a large, flashy demon-like being: Masquerade. A devilish grin on its face, it removed its "hat" and took a bow, favoring a theatrical entrance.

"Say the line now. Nice and loud. Make sure you really project your voice confidently."

Kyōshū didn't really get the need for the melodrama, but if that voice in his head was telling him to say it, it must've had a purpose. He couldn't really trust his own memory, but he felt like he could trust the voice. "Heh...Everyone, eh? C'mon, now, let's not rush the ending. Wouldn't you rather this be a thrilling page-turner of a fight instead of a dull obituary?"

... Nope. He really didn't get why he needed to say that. In fact, it felt really cheesy. Before he could even question it, the voice told him to quickly follow it up with their special technique to bring the boss down in one, flashy fell swoop. Unfortunately, this was also right about the time where his amnesia kicked in, so he was just left standing there blankly, pointing his dagger in the villain's direction.

tl;dr: Kyōshū summoned his not!DarkShadow to fight alongside him, said a cheesy line at its request, then blanked out in the middle of combat because of his amnesia.

Rui sneered, “heroes always act superior!” She was about to spew out a string of insults when her and Yagyo’s getaway horse was reduced to ash. “Hey! That one was mine to kill!” She shouted back, barely having time to process that she was being attacked before the fireball engulfed her. Reeling from the flames she let out an ear piercing cry of agony as she felt her entire body ignite. Thankfully it only lasted a short while as the flame died out. Was it her own quirk out healing the flames? Was she just that cool and amazing? She would have believed it if it wasn’t for Miroru’s voice. Well, Rui was still cool and amazing of course.

Heaving as she sat up, her charred skin was already being restored to normal by her healing quirk as she grinned and looked in Miroru’s direction. “Hospital bestie is that you? You came to help me didn’t you?” With knife in hand she jumped back up to her feet, looking at Auden as he insulted the Inferno. Bursting out laughing she pointed a finger at the big scary villain. “That’s right, you ain’t shit!” She chimed in. It didn’t matter if this monster was a hero or a villain. He had gotten in the way of her and Yagyo’s fun. Looking further she noticed another guy, another demon? She wasn’t sure what Kyōshū’s intent was, but she knew one thing for sure. “I’m gonna stab you in the face!” She proclaimed at the Inferno with an arrogant grin, before charging straight at him, knife in hand as she would try to stab him in the ankles.

TL;DR: Rui is saved from the fireball by Miroru who extinguished the fire around her, Rui’s quirk heals the damage she sustained. Rui notices Kyōshū, Auden and Miroru, before rushing at the boss trying to stab him in his ankles.

"Not in charge of Yag-whoa!" Yagyo started to object when a fireball came flyings towards them and the 'getaway-horse', leaping off the muscular man at the very last second before he burst into flames. Legs straight and arms out, the costumed villain spun gracefully through the air as she avoided certain death.



And promptedly smacked ungracefully into the ground, lying there motionless for a moment. Inside the suit, Kanna scrunched her face up and grumbled under her breath - that was lame! But then with a deep breath she was back in the Yagyo-zone and scrambling to their feet. Rapidly scurrying about tapping a clawed finger to some small pieces rubble around them, Yagyo gave a quick turnback towards the villain - and Rui just now no longer being on fire - and thrust a hand out towards the firey 'hero' again. One after another the pieces of rubble transformed into a variety of monsters right out of picturebooks, and Yagyo declared:

"Great distraction, Mummy! Minions, show this guy how to have fun the Yagyo-way!"

The monsters all scurried off to assist Rui in her attack on the 'hero', Yagyo hanging back and looking smug despite the unchanging expression on the costumes face.

TLDR; Yagyo avoids being burned up, faceplants like a dork, and turns some nearby rubble into monster minions to help fight.

✧ THE INFERNO ✧

Whatever the resistance The Inferno's fractured mind had expected, this was certainly not it. This ragtag group of kindling wasn't acting at all like he was a threat. He was a big threat! He was told so! Unfortunately for him in the process of the experiments he learned to harness his anger (and only his anger) to fuel his own quirk. He would grit his teeth at the backhanded insult from Auden his voice raising, "WHAT DO YOU KNOW, PRETTY BOY, I'LL ROAST YA!" he would reel back to conjure another fireball only to find it fizzle and him to feel slightly light-headed "Huh?!" he looked around for the culprit only to be greeted by a show of extreme firepower.

The blast hit him dead on and pushed him back several meters. The Inferno, however, would dig in his heels to stop the forward momentum and begin to absorb the blast into his body. This resulted in several cracks appearing on his form and his large grin returned "Thanks for the meal~!" he chirped, his eyes laser-focused on Miroru.


This ultimately would cause him to receive a stab wound in his leg as Rui had managed to avoid detection due to his poor awareness. "OW YOU SON OF A-" his anger would flare up again, this time producing flames from his head. The flames would condense into a large orb which then rained fire out in a small radius around him as he attempted to deal with Yagyo's monsters. "YOU DIE FIRST, KID!" he would push past Rui and head towards Miroru with a fist covered in yellow flames. Odd considering everything until now had been the standard color you'd expect for fire.

tl;dr: The Inferno gets made at Auden, gets hit by Miroru's blast and absorbs it, stabbed by Rui, sends a wave of fireballs in the area to deal with Yagyo's monsters, and lastly he charges at Miroru with a fist cloaked in a distinct yellow flame.

"Yes, stand up to it. I dunno what your quirk does, but at the very least I can help mitigate the damage it does for the time being, until some real heroes get here," Miroru insisted. "I get it if you're not down for that, but I-"

She didn't have to finish. Auden signed on as well, and she nodded, grateful for his reassurance, and flashing him a thumbs up as she waved for him to follow and took off towards the front lines!

The first shock came as the kid she'd had to protect showed up and engulfed himself in flames before dropping dramatic one-liners- and then going blank in the middle of the street, leaving her mentally adding him to the list of targets she had to protect as this went on. She wasn't sure what was going on, but he was TRYING to help, and she wasn't gonna let him get roasted just for doing the right thing.

Or. Well. Attempting it.

Rui's excited yell startled Miroru, who stared back, wide-eyed. "You're... the... weird nurse who tried to give me-" She paused and looked at Yagyo and pointed a finger at both of them. "Hey! You're with Night Parade! You really WERE trying to poison me in the hospital! Are you why a whole bunch of people got sick that day?!"

Said Night Parade ended up mid-air thanks to one of the fireballs she hadn't been fast enough to eat, which hurled them to the side into some rubble, where they promptly raised a small army to back up The Nurse, who- crazy as it was... charged in... with a knife. Not even the ONLY knife on the field! People were crazy out here!!!

"Aw, -great,-" muttered Miroru as the Inferno ate the infrared blast, making note that she'd have to find some other way to fight it. "So, tug of war it is." She really didn't like that idea. She could spark pressure waves with dense heat pellets, or try draining it directly, or she could always...

No. No no no. She wouldn't. Not even now. She'd find some other way to fight than leaning on THAT.

A hail of fire went out towards the monster parade, and Miroru let that slide, choosing to preserve her stamina for attacks at real people, which she got almost immediately, as the creature rushed at Miroru directly!

To everyone else, the scene was a nightmare- the girl stalling out the worst of the flames reeled back in terror as the Inferno barrelled down on her with that weird, yellow flame on its fist, stock still right up until the fist slammed into her- and through.

Miroru, meanwhile, peered down from on top of a 2nd floor balcony, only her eyes left out of the light cloak hiding her from sight. The time it'd taken to deal with the monsters and move past Rui had given her time to duck out and leave behind an projected image for him to slug- and hopefully give some hints as to what the yellow flame did if he hit the concrete when he whiffed!

Interactions with the others, then Miroru uses her speed and reflexes to block light from reaching her, and replaces herself with a hologram as she relocates up onto a nearby balcony using her Skywalkers, analyzing the yellow flame with her quirk to see if she can detect any changes to how it puts off infrared heat or other EM phenomena, and buying time to see what the heck the yellow flame does when/if it hits the concrete where she'd been standing!

I can pay no price too great for justice.

He really wasn't expecting to have to fight anything today, let alone something that was literally made out of the element that he could summon and control. Did that mean he could look flames out of this thing? Doubtful, but the thought did lighten the mood a tad for him when he stared at the reaction of those around him. "You think I'm pretty? Are you hitting on me?" A wink, and he would pop his hip out a bit to the fire beast. "You're not bad yourself darling, if you weren't trying to hurt these nice people, I'd ask you if you wanted to go on a date. Maybe if you're a good boy and don't hurt them, I'll give you a good time." Auden doubted that this thing was going to back down, but it sounded hella funny to say that he was flirting with a literal fire; it's very on brand for Auden, honestly.

Seeing as the blast given to him by Miroru seemed to only make him stronger, Auden widened his eye sin disbelief. Shit, are my attacks going to be bad for this? if this dude ate lasers like they were a little snack, he wasn't sure that his flames would do much. Looking to see who was the most likely to get hit, he'd stay close to Miroru. "I get you like, absorb things and shit? If you can't take it all, let it hit me instead, okay?" This was of course before he'd see the fire beast come charging towards her. Man, if someone had some water, this would make it a lot easier, right? As the hit seemed to blast past Miroru, Auden would place his arms out and get a bit of a tingle of the yellow flames that emitted from him. Had it penetrated his fire-resistant clothing? He wasn't actually sure, and he instead looked behind him to check if those behind him were okay still. At the very least, he'd have some nasty burn marks on his upper arms from wearing something not fit for fighting. Was there another fire beast behind him? No, that had to be something else; he'd give the person he didn't realize was Takamiya, nor would he unless someone explained that to him. Looking to Kanna and Rui, he did a quirk up and down to see if they were hurt yet, before turning back to The Inferno to figure out what his next move was. He had no clue where Miroru went, but she was probably safe!

TLDR; Flirts more, and takes some of the yellow flames from the beast. He checks to see if everyone is okay.
