Even though the impact was between Rhino Rui and the fire 'hero', Yagyo got justled so bad they nearly lost their seating and tumbled backwards - landing on their costumed face with a light 'oof' if nothing intervened. Hearing Rui call out, Yagyo glanced over and for a brief momment seemed to lock up. Inside the suit, Kanna was sweating at the sight of all that lava. Magma? Whichever it was, it didn't look good and it was very literally getting too hot to handle. But after freezing up for a moment Yagyo suddenly was flailing arms and scurrying back and forth at the edge of the spreading lava, small little parts of the costume catching fire. "Yagyo gets it now, this is the Stove hero! All the powers of an oven!"
Completely ignoring that stoves and ovens weren't the same thing, and that neither of those things spewed lava or turned into volcanos, the still slightly on fire Yagyo reached out to snag the slowly melting Rui and pull her out of the lava before she melted too much to use her legs at all. Not that Rui wouldn't be able to heal that, probably! Honestly, despite the goofy antics Kanna was concerned about herself right now. The Yagyo suit wasn't lava proof, and she couldn't heal like Rui could!
"The Great Yagyo believs in you all! Now is the time to show what heroes you are!" Yagyo threw in their own encouragements in, while backing away more and more and ready to scamper off entirely at a moments notice. |

The person that calls themself Yagyo is a fun-loving troublemaker that encourages everyone regardless of who they are or what side of the law they happen to be on. Yagyo rarely seems to take any situation they're in too seriously, more invested in having fun than anything else. While undoubtedly a criminal, Yagyo is more interested in crimes that don't directly harm people physically - robbery, destruction of property, and other shenanigans are completely fair game though! One thing Yagyo is especially fond of doing is enabling other people to get up to shenanigans of their own, be it with Quirk assistance or simply some encouraging words. Together, Yagyo and these little gremlins get into all sorts of fun adventures! Causin' trouble, stealin' stuff, gettin' tossed around in a fight, you name it and Yagyo's done it! Well, except for like murderin' people and stuff! Yagyo's all about havin' fun and that isn't very fun if you ask me! Now, some people might say that Yagyo made their first appearance being a completely lame disaster fumbling around a shopping mall and nearly getting hauled in by the completely normal mall security guys there... and that'd be completely true! The monsters often have recognizable features from stories, fables and cryptids and when objects are transformed Kanna can direct and command them as Quirk-created minions. QUIRK DRAWBACKS: If used on a living being other than Kanna, the monsterification has no effect on the targets mind at all. Aside from that, the transformations do not give any inherent boosts to abilities beyond what would simply make sense for the type of monster created: a mothman-like entity might be able to glide or fly, but wouldn't be especially fast or strong while a snake-like monster might be good at constricting people. If transformed entities take suffient damage the transformation can be forcefully undone, and it similarly can be ended by knocking Kanna out directly. Hey, what's groovin'!?! You wanna know about the history of the legendary Yagyo? Well, listen up then!
Yagyo is a wild free spirit and the leader of a troupe of monsters! Everywhere Yagyo goes you can bet there's goin' to be a monster or two right there with them! Together, Yagyo and these little gremlins get into all sorts of fun adventures! Causin' trouble, stealin' stuff, gettin' tossed around in a fight, you name it and Yagyo's done it! Well, except for like murderin' people and stuff! Yagyo's all about havin' fun and that isn't very fun if you ask me! Now, some people might say that Yagyo made their first appearance being a completely lame disaster fumbling around a shopping mall and nearly getting hauled in by the completely normal mall security guys there... and that'd be completely true! Everyone has to start somewhere, right? Besides, Yagyo learned a lot from that and has gotten way better at pulling off shenanigans since!
Some people might be wondering who Yagyo actually is, but Yagyo is Yagyo! If you mean who the person in the suit is, well, that's a bit of a different story! See, before there was Yagyo there was this kid named Kanna. Really normal kid for the most part, except she had weird eyes and weird horns and no dad around. So all the other kids made fun of Kanna, picked on her all the time and said things like 'Your dad left because you're so weird'! Super mean stuff like that. The thing is, even though they said stuff like that without really knowin' better, they were totally right in a way! Kanna's old man got super bummed out that Kanna didn't inherit the kind of Quirk he was hopin' for so he split! Kanna's mom ended up keepin' the Kaneko name out of pure spite, since he didn't want anything to do with them anymore and all that.
Bein' a single child of a single mother isn't the worst thin' ever but it can be pretty rough for sure! With all the bullyin' and stuff Kanna ended up pretty withdrawn and even switched to remote schoolin' and stuff like that as a teenager. Eventually she pretty much stopped goin' outside at all and only had the monsters she could make for company! But then one day lil' Kanna saw some news that changed her life. See, a lot of villain types out there are just like career criminals or these super edgy dudes that go on and on about the sins of man or whatever - Yagyo bets they're just grumpy because someone else got the last melon bread when they were a kid - but there's a few villains out there who are just... havin' fun! When Kanna started seeing news about villains like that, how they were just doin' whatever they wanted whenever they wanted? She felt inspired!
After that, Kanna made herself a costume and started thinkin' about the kind of person she wanted to be and that was how Yagyo came to be! Kanna's still around of course, but Yagyo is way better in every way so enough about all that! What do you think Yagyo's next big shenanigans should be?

[b]QUIRK DESCRIPTION:[/b] Best described as 'Monsterification', Kanna's Quirk can temporarily turn things she touches into monsters - or allows her to transform herself. The monsters often have recognizable features from stories, fables and cryptids and when objects are transformed Kanna can direct and command them as Quirk-created minions.
[b]QUIRK DRAWBACKS:[/b] If used on a living being other than Kanna, the monsterification has no effect on the targets mind at all. Aside from that, the transformations do not give any inherent boosts to abilities beyond what would simply make sense for the type of monster created: a mothman-like entity might be able to glide or fly, but wouldn't be especially fast or strong while a snake-like monster might be good at constricting people. If transformed entities take suffient damage the transformation can be forcefully undone, and it similarly can be ended by knocking Kanna out directly. Using this Quirk too much causes Kanna to start hallucinating, perceiving monsters where there are none and unable to recognize people or places for what they really are.

"Kicking is touching, buttsnack!" Yagyo objected - not at Rui being kicked, but at yelling 'Dont touch me!' while doing the kicking. That was like chasing someone while yelling 'Get away from me!' or something! Maybe if Yagyo had realized Rui's neck had broken it would have changed their tune, and certainly shake up Kanna underneath it all, but it just seemed like a big kick that knocked their fellow gremlin in crime out for a minute to them. Besides, Yagyo only got one taker - the one Rui knew from a hospital or something - on the monsterification offer and that meant more forces were needed!
After giving Miroru a tap to temporarily transform her, Yagyo scurried right along with stubby legs working as fast as they could to Rui - doing their best to avoid any attacks that might come near them intentionally or by coincidence. Hopping up where Rui landed, Yagyo's costumed face was hunched over her - comically bent over at a near right angle at the waist while stubby hands patted at Rui's cheeks in a left-right-left-right flurry of light taps. "Yagyo to Mummy, come in Mummy!"
Rui was practically immortal, so it was just a matter of waiting for her to wake up so she could monsterify her too! But if it took particularly long for Rui to wake up, the goofy confidence of the Yagyo persona couldn't keep Kanna from starting to worry.
TLDR: Yagyo too dumb to realize Rui's neck got broken, retreated over to where Rui is after monsterifying Miroru, is currently trying to wake Rui up so she can monsterify her too. |

For a moment Yagyo forgot about the rampaging fire 'hero', tipping their head just enough to make the floppy ears tip to one side as they turned their attention to the conversation going on. Not that Yagyo knew who anyone here other than Rui was, maybe vaguely at best recalling some mention of Rui's shenanigans that involved them? Rui got up to so many shenanigans that sometimes it was hard for Yagyo to keep track though! But the energy-absorby-shooty girl knew recognized Yagyo too it seemed and that prompted the costumed villain to puff up proudly.
"Are you Mummy's Besti-" The rain of fireballs obliterating all those newly created minions, causing them to poof back into being rubble that promptly got scorched and burned away, made Yagyo whirl around with hands flailing about and complaining in genuine offense. "Hey! It's no fun just blowing them up all at once! You're definitely in for it now!"
That last part was going along with Rui's threats, and then Yagyo was left wondering what to do - pebbles turned into monsters weren't really smart enough to avoid getting blown up right away. Clapping costumed hands together, they scurried along with Rui as she chased after the fire 'hero' with one hand held up like a prepared high-five. "Alright, new plan - the great Yagyo is calling for volunteers for temporary monster minion positions! Just need to give you a tap!"
Anyone who took Yagyo up on their offer would get a quick tap, assuming nothing interfered, and temporarily transformed in a variety of ways - they might get monster wings, they might get claws, but whatever features they ended up with would mostly just give them new options to make use of and not directly power them up. If nobody took Yagyo up on the offer, they'd just resort to more rubble minions! TLDR; Yagyo thinks Miroru, Auden and Takamiya might be some of "Rui's Besties", gets offended about Inferno destroying all the minions so quickly, follows Rui chasing after Inferno, and offers to give anyone who wants it a monsterification buff (these buffs are entirely narrative context and don't modify stats, but the transformations are themed after folklore creatures and can give contextual abilities). |

"Not in charge of Yag-whoa!" Yagyo started to object when a fireball came flyings towards them and the 'getaway-horse', leaping off the muscular man at the very last second before he burst into flames. Legs straight and arms out, the costumed villain spun gracefully through the air as she avoided certain death.  And promptedly smacked ungracefully into the ground, lying there motionless for a moment. Inside the suit, Kanna scrunched her face up and grumbled under her breath - that was lame! But then with a deep breath she was back in the Yagyo-zone and scrambling to their feet. Rapidly scurrying about tapping a clawed finger to some small pieces rubble around them, Yagyo gave a quick turnback towards the villain - and Rui just now no longer being on fire - and thrust a hand out towards the firey 'hero' again. One after another the pieces of rubble transformed into a variety of monsters right out of picturebooks, and Yagyo declared: "Great distraction, Mummy! Minions, show this guy how to have fun the Yagyo-way!"The monsters all scurried off to assist Rui in her attack on the 'hero', Yagyo hanging back and looking smug despite the unchanging expression on the costumes face. Kanna wasn't the biggest eater by any means, and if anyone ever saw her under her 'Yagyo' costume that'd be obvious at a glance. That didn't make it less fun to hold up a place for their food, though, and she certainly enjoyed her share of the stolen rewards - just sneakily when people couldn't catch a glimpse of her inside her costume. Rui's annoyance was plain as day to her and with only a moment pause to swallow she focused on being 'Yagyo' and gave a great big laugh. Complete with one pointy-clawed hand of their costume coming up to thump flatly against the baggy cloth where their chest vaguely was. "Of course they're afraid! Even just one of us would be a handful for any pro!"
Yagyo's demeanor turned somehow thoughtful despite outwardly being covered head to toe in a costume, ears flopping slightly as their head tilted to the side and one hand came up vaguely where a chin would be if the costume actually had one and the stationary face scrunching up almost like in focused concentration. The lack of heroes showing up definitely made it less fun, so it was easy to see where Rui was coming from. How would they fix that? Yagyo had no idea, but worrying about it wasn't very fun either so they simply stopped doing that after a minute!
On their way out Yagyo was right along with Rui, claiming the opposite shoulder of the body builder, throwing both hands up over their head and declaring "A devious ploy to trap us!" in agreement and completely ignoring the attempt at correcting them. Only to nearly go tumbling off the 'getaway horse' when they changed direction, flailing stubby arms and tipping backwards and only barely regaining their balance before they fell off entirely. Focusing on the 'hero' that had started the fire, Yagyo hopped up to stand with one foot up on top of the bodybuilders head and a hand pointing towards The Inferno as Rui hopped down to the ground. With a pose struck, Yagyo declared: "It's about time, we already ate all the food we wanted! Do your best anyways, even if you're up against the spectacular Mummy and Yagyo the great!"

"Ahh Yagyo understands." Yagyo nodded at Ume, ears flopping this way and that, before turning their attention back to Rui. Costumed hands dropping down onto the vague hip area of the Yagyo outfit, not actually on Kanna's actual ones underneath, Yagyo stood up on her seat for a moment to declare proudly and confidently: "Nope, Yagyo is broke as hell!"
And then promptly sat right back down, leaning over the table slightly to grab their own drink. Glancing around from inside the costume, making sure Rui was distracted by beer and Ume eating a glass whole - and Ume was obviously distracted eating a glass whole - Kanna quietly and quickly slipped one arm out of the costume and cautiously unzipped it just enough to snap her hand out and grab her beer before pulling it into the depths of the costume where she was safe from being seen.
The upside to the costume being so baggy and Kanna herself being so tiny was she could do stuff like this!
Taking a sip of beer from inside the suit, Kanna nodded along before chiming in. "Yagyo thinks that's the most fun! They're all bright and ready for serious heroing and not at all expecting fun adventures!" After a small pause Yagyo brought their other arm up and waved it around overhead. "Ta-da! All gone!" It wasn't, she had literally barely touched it. Pointing the arm in Rui's general direction, Yagyo declared in a teasing way. "That makes you the slowest drinker here." |

"Yo Yo Yo! Yag-yo is here!" Yagyo bounded up to the door, pausing to throw spike-tipped arms in the direction of the door holder on each 'Yo' - including the one in their chosen name as villain. Entirely concealed in a full body costume, Yagyo was vaguely around five feet tall and the costume in question was blue and white with purple spots and big ears and a floppy tail. And to make it completely, unmistakeably clear that it was a costume there was a big fat zipper on the front.
Yet with how weird quirks were, who could say if Yagyo really was wearing a costume or not?
"I got the message!" Yagyo declared before taking note of Rui, throwing both arms up overhead in a mix of surprise and delight. "You got a message too, huh? Now I know it'll be fun!" Yagyo held one arm forward in what was probably a thumbs up, but the hands of the costume made it kinda hard to tell for sure.
Settling down for a bit, Yagyo was going to join Rui in pestering Nox, nodding along and adding random interjections here and there. Inside the suit, though, Kanna wasn't sure how she felt! She hadn't had this kind of big villainy meetup before, didn't know what they had planned. Would it actually be fun, or would it be really not fun? Would it be some kind of trap by the cops? She had no idea and even though she was determined to enjoy herself and see what adventures she could get into, she couldn't help but feel a little spooked all the same. |

The question caught Yagyo off guard for a moment, leaning to one side and somehow convying a surprised expression. Only for a moment, though! A second later Yagyo was holding up both of their own three-spike tipped hands in a similar gesture and nodding vigorously. "Naturally! That is why we came here, isn't it? To drink and eat and have fun!"
Even though Yagyo said that, inside the suit Kanna was sweating. Metaphorically, not literally! How was she going to navigate this outing without revealing herself? Maybe she could just slip the zipper down just enough, and sneak one of her arms into the chest area, and then just drink and eat without them being able to see a thing? The suit was certainly baggy enough and she was certainly scrawny enough for that to work!
While Kanna was planning the waiter was looking at the hands of the suit with a slight bit of confusion, before erring on the side of caution and simply adding another ten 'big beers' - five asahi dry. Normally caution would be to a more moderate six, three on each of the costume's hands, but the waiter really didn't want to have to deal with this rowdy group more than necessary. While Ume started placing an order, a very big order, Yagyo turned their attention to Rui at the question and put their hands on their hips and shook their head hard enough to make the ears flop around this way and that. "Nope! Yagyo has built in air conditioning!"
The suit absolutely did not have air conditioning, and Kanna honestly did feel a bit on the too-warm side right now.
But Yagyo wouldn't let things like that bother them, so Kanna would endure! It helped having other things to focus on though, like the fight that Ume was describing. Yagyo raised one hand up in a casual wave over at Ume, greeting her back: "Yo yo yo, Ume! Did you at least get plenty to eat before your fun got ruined?" |

Kanna didn't go out to eat. She didn't go out with people either.
But would Yagyo?
Hair pulled back out of her eyes, Kanna flipped the hood down over her head and pulled the big zipper up all the way. With those two steps the 'transformation' was complete and Yagyo threw their spikey-tipped hands up into the air triumphantly. "Yagyo is ready to go!" They declared, purely to themselves, and promptly scurried out the window of their 'hideout'. The trip to where they were meeting with friends wasn't a long one, and Yagyo was quicker than one might expect for someone their size or in such a baggy costume. It didn't take long for them to arrive, and when they stepped inside they announced their arrival by loudly declaring: "Direct Yagyo to the friends waiting for them!"
The waiter near the front, of course, had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. "Ah... do you have a reservation?"
Yagyo's arms dropped came up to fold across their chest, wrinkles forming across the suit that somehow made Yagyo seem disgruntled despite the unchanging expression painted across the face of the costume. "Of course Yagyo does! But Yagyo did not place it!" The waiter seemed even more confused, glancing down at the book of reservations before glancing back up. Yagyo brought both arms up near the ears of their costume to mime a pair of horns, clarifying: "Ladies with long horns?"
That got a look of realization, and then a strange look of disappointment as the waiter realized he'd been pranked in a way, before clearing his throat and nodding. "Right... yeah of course, follow me." Yagyo somehow seemed triumphantly smug as they followed after the waiter, spotting the two girls waiting for them and immediately hopping into a spot at their table. The waiter, seeming to hope this was somehow a mistake and there was genuinely a hot bombshell coming to meet up with them, asked hesitantly. "This... is your friend, right?"
Yagyo gave a huff immediately, gesturing at Ume and Rui with one arm each. "How rude! Of course Yagyo is their friend!"
Inside the suit, Kanna was giving Ume a glance out of the corner of her eye - her appetite wasn't patient at all, and hopefully the waiter would get to taking orders before Ume got properly Hangry or anything. |
