"Do you guys ever struggle with like. Philosophical stuff?"

Miroru asked as she and the two boys meandered through the street towards their destination, a local park where some of the local high schoolers with a loose agreement with the rule of law had started causing trouble to keep the park to themselves after school hours. It wasn't a confrontation with much danger involved, but it was the sort of small-scale community action that got the students out and into the city to build familiarity and comfort with the routine of receiving patrol assignments and carrying them out.

She'd met both Farrin and Zenkai when they'd all run into Farrin training not long after Orientation, so the assignment wasn't with strangers, at least.

"Like. Ethics, or the conflict between- I dunno, not wanting to get sent out to fetch cats from trees but recognizing the importance of building community trust and rapport? Anything like that?"

Their route took them into a little shopping plaza with a fountain in the center of a bunch of little storefronts. A used clothing store, a video rental joint, and a small convenience store advertising their in-house sushi chef in the window were the standouts, though the park they were heading towards was a few more blocks away even now.

"Stuff like that gets me in my head a lot," Miroru said as the smell of frying tempura wafted out of the little convenience store. "I try to shake it, but. It's still a thing. You guys ever get bogged down in that sorta headspace?"

I can pay no price too great for justice.

Apparently they had to go on patrols as apart of their study which was while annoying but reasonable for students in the Heroes study department. What he didn't understand was Why they were being sent to some local part to deal with high school students.

"If people need help, we help, We should always do our best to help others, bring about the happiness others and strive to maintain the peace whether that means stopping a villain or helping someone get their cat back" The titan took a handful of the chocolate peanut butter pieces and shoved them in his mouth. He always enjoyed it When hero work and buddhism lined up, even if he wasn't exactly a strict follower of the religion, it left him without a guilty conscience and the nagging of Monk Gyatso that always nagged at him in the back of his mind Whenever he strayed from the Eightfold path.

"Still don't understand Why we're dealing with a bunch of rowdy highschoolers though, sounds like a job for the police and not heroes but...I guess that's Why you're having your philosophical dilemma" The golden boi stopped as he looked over to the convenience store, now craving some raw fish. "I guess I get it if the kids are hurting people, probably best to let heroes hand that, but if they're just being rowdy, just leave them alone"

The titan paused and turned to Walk into the convenience store "Anyway, I can't believe that they'll be so much of a problem that I can't eat while we deal with this so I'm going to grab some Sushi, Anyone else want some?"

Kamiya Nadeshiko I shall subvert this unwanted reality and replace it with one of my own design

i am revision, the failsafe Many people think that the life of a villain is hiding in holes, creeping in the dark, and causing trouble. While they aren't wrong, there's a lot more to it than just that. Villains are still human (usually) and do human things, like go shopping for food so that they may survive to cause trouble and lurk in the shadows later on.  Calling Kamiya Nadeshiko a villain might be a bit of a stretch, though. Sure, she is no hero. She is no vigilante, either. But she's not necessarily out to cause trouble. She doesn't ascribe to any particular philosophy, nor does she choose sides between heroes and villains. She's equally likely to work with either or face off against them. She merely follows the orders of her corporate masters. She had recently finished a shift as a member of Black Rose Security Solutions and was awaiting a new assignment. In the meantime, she had decided to go out and run some errands, including grabbing a bite to eat.  Though she had left most of her equipment behind, she still wore her Black Rose uniform, a tailor-fit set up that didn't necessary look civilian, but because of its partly see-through nature didn't have the corporate black ops look, either.  Nadeshiko cut through a park and made her way towards a nearby sushi joint, a place she had eaten at once or twice. Even though the day had been quite normal, she had no idea that things were about to get out of hand. And a few others didn't have any idea what it would mean to get tangled up with someone like Revision...

o thanks, lad," Farrin said, waving off the sushi Zenkai offered to grab. Sushi didn't rank all that high on the lists of Farrin's favorite foods. As a matter of fact, it sat rather low, closer to another list he wasn't going to bring up right now. That wasn't what kept him quiet, though. The time-turning student was mulling over Miroru's posed question, dissecting his thoughts and feelings for the 'correct' answer. 

"Objectively speakin', I believe taskin' a hero wit' such menial work is a misallocation o' valuable resources. A hero pullin' a cat from a tree could be rescuin' people from a natural disaster or arrive at the scene o' the next villain attack that much sooner. That said, if I were a hero n' some cat was caught in a tree around the corner from my patrol, I'd help it. Cats make superb bunkmates, contrary ta' their reputation."

Farrin had spent many a meal with cats before resigning to sleep back home. Plenty of them are friendlier than most humans. Sure, there were a few nasty grouches among every litter, but toss a cat something to eat, and they backed right on down. 

"As fer us, unfortunately, this is what a lot o' Hero Prep looked like. Felt more like community service than hero work, but they can't really be expectin' us to stop robberies quite yet, can they? Well, not US us, but our fellow peers." 

He still wasn't quite sure what Zenkai could do, but the boy was about a head taller than Farrin and rode a bear. Miroru confirmed already that she knew her way around a scrap. Maybe she wasn't on par with the heroic greats, but none of them were. Still, if there were a robbery, he was sure they could handle it. Of course, the chances of them partaking in such a real-world encounter were slim to nil, so ultimately, what he thought didn't matter... right?
