For many of us, spring was full of hardship. Between the villain attacks that happened in unison all over Tokyo, to the Elementalist and his horrid experiments, we all breathed a sigh of relief when the seasons changed and we could look forward to summer. Everything was fine at first. No one could have predicted that the sudden uptick in shark attacks a couple of weeks ago would lead us here.

First came the sharks, then more and more marine life began to gather in the bay. What was dismissed as an unusual phenomenon turned into a living nightmare when they came out of the water. Sharks with spider legs, crabs with human faces and giant squids with wings. These animals, no, these quirk-mutated monsters were as varied as they were endless in numbers. It was as if a portal to the underworld had opened under the bay, unleashing unimaginable horrors into our world. We were left wondering... Why?

Why us? Why now?

We didn't have time to look for an answer. We could only try to survive.

What will you do? Will you fight? Will you run? Do you really think you can hide?

Welcome to MAWS!

MAWS is an event that will function similarly to the Seasonal Events or the previous Babel event. The basic premise is that Tokyo Bay has come under attack from a sudden influx of highly aggressive, quirk-mutated marine life. Whether you're just trying to survive, want to take the fight to the monsters, or use this chaos as an opportunity to further your own criminal goals is entirely up to you and your thread partners! That is to say, this event is for all factions and characters to take part in regardless of how strong or weak they are. The key is to have fun!

* Each MAWS thread you complete is worth 75 event tokens for a total of 150 event tokens. You can do as many threads in this event as you want but your character will only be credited for the first two threads they complete.
* To be eligible for rewards MAWS event threads must take place on the Tokyo Bay sub-board and be tagged with [MAWS] in the thread title.
* MAWS threads cannot be completed as Solo threads or Mission threads.
* Threads must be completed before the end of the season on June 1st, 2024. and can be submitted in the Thread Inbox no later than June 7th, 2024. The event tokens you earn can be spent in the Event Shop. For more information on event tokens please see Site Events and Event Shop.
