She is always eager to make friends or hang out with her classmates with the easiest way to get close to her being a suggestion of getting food or bringing her food and you’ll immediately become one of her favorite people due to her large appetite. Emilia is quite playful and to a certain degree, childish coming off as goofy at times when perhaps it isn’t the right situation for it. This is mostly a product of her own anxiety as she tends to spiral into the goofier side of her personality when she’s uncomfortable.

Having heard many stories from her mother about how she met her father and despite having moved around a lot Emilia has become a bit of a hopeless romantic. She becomes easily flustered at the idea of flirting and heavily believes in the idea of soul mates and destiny. This means that even if she gets embarrassed by someone’s flirting unless she truly believes their her soul mate or at least one of the potential ones she won’t reciprocate. She also has a fascination with romance novels and keeps a stack of them on her bedside table to read.

Emilia is someone who enjoys physical activity especially gymnastics and martial arts having been training in both at a very early age due to being able to continue them with every move. She does, however have a bit of a complex about her body being sensitive about her ‘chest’ due to having developed early and not being able to stay within the same school system for more than a year which led to her having to make many first impressions with the more insensitive classmates pointing it out to her.

Emilia is a taller-than-average girl with straight waist-length sandy blonde hair that is usually tied into a side ponytail by a big blue ribbon on the left side and when it’s loose it reaches down to her lower back with hair strands hanging on either side and bangs swept to the right side. She has dyed her hair so that it has a pink tint at the tips and keeps this up regularly so the color doesn’t fade. She has purple eyes with beauty marks underneath each eye and a round face with a light complexion.

Her outfits usually consist of bright-colored shirts and sweaters and in an attempt to lessen her moderate bust she will wear hoodies or other loose clothing outside of school hours. She cares a lot about her appearance and it’s not uncommon to see her with brand new clothes that she purchased with money from her job.

With the changes from Dream World, she has mixed feelings about her new quirk, being particularly bothered by having to change her wardrobe to make sure the engines don't backfire and cause her pants to catch on fire.

The Hall Family originally hails from Gothenburg, Sweden. They immigrated to America about 4 generations ago as Emilia’s great-grandfather enlisted in the U.S. Army at that time. Since then there’s been at least one person in each generation who enlists in the army as it’s part of their legacy. Emilia was the second born in her immediate family and for the better part of her life, she would constantly be moving around. Her father was a Sergeant First Class at the time of her birth and therefore every few years the family would need to move.

For Emilia this meant her childhood wasn’t easy as she only had the company of her older brother consistently, having to move schools every 1-2 years or so. It was due to this that she became quite studious as she lived in multiple countries from the time she was a toddler to a young adult. She learned many of the languages in the countries or general areas she lived which she still holds onto to this day and she has something from each place she’s lived in as a way to help her cope with the constant change. Luckily for her, it was her older brother who desired to take on the family legacy and join the army which left her to decide what she wanted to do in life. It was one day when watching the news that she saw one of the ‘Top Heroes’ where she was currently staying resolving a problem to roars of applause and without a single casualty that she was inspired to want to do the same. With an intention of joining U.A when she was of age, she spent the better part of high school preparing the best she could. It would be fun or at least this was something she hoped but who knows?

Thanks to Engine, Emi can dash through long distances in a short amount of time. This makes her suited for missions that involve reaching a faraway place as fast as possible, chasing after an object moving at high speeds, or even escaping from an overwhelming threat. [Vitality and Speed]


DRAWBACKS: Engine appears to require fuel to work properly, similar to an actual vehicle. In Emi's case, she requires any source of edible liquid as fuel for her Quirk. If she doesn't refuel herself, her Quirk will gradually lose potency until it stops functioning altogether.

Since Engine's Quirk Factor lies in the user's limbs, Emi's legs, she would be unable to use the Quirk should she lose them.

Engine's mufflers are also vulnerable to being clogged or blocked by certain substances, such as ice, which can hinder the user’s speed and cause them to slowly halt.

If the engine's mufflers go beyond their desired limit as they overheat, it'll cause them eventually to explode and damage themselves, stopping the speed and immediately hindering the user.

Emi has remarkably poor control over the speed of acceleration and deceleration, often requiring something physical to stop her when she's going too fast or out of control. Such as a brick wall.

This interacts with the cosmic radiation that Emi produces when using her quirk by condensing it into a mass that is added to her arms. This mass isn’t tangible in the sense that one could touch it is virtual as the device temporarily alters her radiation into a physical state when she uses her quirk. This results in a darker coloration around her arms. The result is that this virtual mass brings her in line with the extreme weight increase with her quirk and doesn’t slow her down as they’re essentially in a superposition until used. This bolsters her physical attacks with force equal to the actual mass assigned to them, allowing her to punch or strike at a range using the force generated by the wind pressure to maximize impact up to 80% of her normal striking power.

They learn how to strike using kicks, punches, knees, and elbows both from the distance and inside the clinch.
