Good, good. Everything was coming into place. But, that wasn't enough, was it? This wasn't some first year dealing with him for the first time. This was Junsuina Kanjo. She wouldn't be defeated by something like this. If he wanted to win, he needed to push this advantage as far as it could go. [break][break]

The wires would keep From every angle, the thorns came grasping at Jun. They would find nothing but the air from where she once stood and the links of her ethereal chains. Still, Gen’s hatred would not be stopped so easily. The wire kept going for her, not giving her a second to breathe.. Her arms, her legs, her neck, every part of her body was besieged by its barbs.

However, for a moment, she seemed to have this down. Like if the rhythm of actual attacks had slowed down. There were still just as many threats to deal with, but they were coming in slower. Maybe the ruby was running out of juice, or Gen was having trouble controlling this many constructs, but Jun’s defense was working. All she needed to do was keep focusing on those wires, and parry any attack she couldn’t dodge. If she kept going like that, eventually an opening would come.[break][break]

But that wasn’t where she shouldn’t have focused.[break][break]

At the leftmost corner of her eyes, she would’ve seen them flying towards her, however, by then, it may have been too late. Five jagged shards from the broken wall cut the space between like a cloud of daggers. If she didn’t block or move, they would dig themselves into her body, ascending from her kneecap all the way up to her jugular.[break][break]

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Something was wrong. It was subtle, but the pattern changed. It afforded her some breathing room, but that meant that Gen was up to something. What made this worse was there was just enough pressure to keep her occupied, and the only solace Jun took from this was at the rate Gen was going he will run out of material relatively quickly; different stones burned at different rates, and while the ruby he had burned at a slower rate than her quartz he only had the one. At least...for now. He still had her bag... The blur out of the corner of her vision made her tense, the ice blocks heading straight towards her. If any of them hit her, it'd be game over. She had to work fast, and she had an idea. Instead of running from the danger she turned and started running right towards it. Using one of her chains, she increased its size and added an anchor to the end, flinging it to her right and then out, straight towards Gen's position. It was insane to abandon part of her defense, but Jun was confident she could avoid all the danger. At least, most of it. As the anchor flew and the ice got closer, she used her other chain to create a bola, nothing too big but she wanted to be able to send it at speed. Between the ice blocking the view and Gen's soon to be distractedness she had a clear line of attack. He wasn't as well versed with her quirk as she was, if she could break his concentration then the barbed wire would go away. She pushed off her right foot, diving forward in between two chunks; she felt one of them dig into her back, leave a nice little gnash, but she had her angle. She sent the bola away, right where she'd thought Gen would be, intending to at least temporarily debilitate him. She tucked into a roll, the rest of the ice either narrowly missing her or leaving a few more scratches. Of course, she couldn't remain there. Soon as the danger passed she'd be right back on her feet, starting a fresh charge towards her opponent. So long as he didn't shoot lightning at her again, she should be able to close the gap.
