[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... The seas were bustling all around Japan. Treasure seekers, thrill riders, entrepreneurs, patrol craft, and everything in between was scouring for adventure. All save a small speedboat named Gurren Express. Jun was tired, upset, and annoyed with everything that was going on in her life, and while she wanted to go home and be with her father she knew she'd also have to put up with her mother. So she did the only rational thing she could do and went fishing. She had special rigs on her little boat to help hold the rods in place, and with one over each end she caught a nice little haul for herself. Unfortunately, she went a little too far out than what she was used to, and so she had to make a pit stop at a small island nearby. She wasn't too familiar with it, but based on what research she had done she knew it had a fishing village that was open to just about anyone in the hobby. Having just tied her ship to the pier, she made sure she had all the essentials and brought some of her fish towards one of the huts nearby, looking to trade her fish for cash and then in turn trade said cash for gas. It would have been nice to smoke or cook the fish, but it wasn't the reason why she was out here. And she wasn't too concerned with things going wrong, as they were in the middle of nowhere. Everything was perfect. Bakiri Retsu

Deeper into the village an explosion resounded. Wood splinters flew through the air as the roof of one of the huts further from the waterfront erupted and scattered in all directions. The front door broke in half moments later when a purple-haired figure was sent flying out of it. Tumbling through the air Retsu crashed onto the ground and bounced once, twice and then thrice before she managed to slam her palm down and grind to a halt on hand and knee, nails digging into the ground as she did.
Her other hand reached into a pouch pulling free a firecracker pattern explosive -a set of small grenades on a steel wire attached to a ring- that she swung wide sending bombs at the walls, door opening and surrounding area alike with zero regard for collateral damage.
Closer to the harbor the only effects of the ongoing attack thus far would be the scattering people running in all directions. Amidst the crowd Jun might even catch a glimpse of a young girl with heterochromia running past her, the brightly colored eyes her only identifiable characteristic before she blends into the mass of fleeing forms.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun turned at the sound of an explosion, her heart sinking as people began to file away from the source. This was not the first time she had to deal with something like this, and it wasn't going to be the last. It didn't make responding to it any easier. Handing the fish to someone running in the opposite direction, Jun began to run towards the direction of the initial blast. The crowd didn't exactly make this easier, but she couldn't exactly blame them. Glancing around, she caught sight of a few crates against a building that would let her get to the roof. She shifted her route, using this to get above the crowd and let her get a better view of what was going on. A second explosion went off, and her heart sank. This doesn't seem to be an accident, she thinks, picking up the pace. Once she got to the scene of mayhem she stopped to assess the situation. A few buildings were already on fire, but most of the people seemed to be gone already. Save one, that was. Purple-haired, looking to be armed and dangerous, she took a deep breath and tapped into her determination, creating a smaller destroyer gun on a nearby roof and aiming it at the person below. "Attention poozer!" she calls down, looking at the woman. "You are clearly commit acts of terrorism for what can be deemed as 'no good reason'. You are to put your hands up and submit to arrest!" Jun talked a big game, but she sounded more confident than she felt. She just hoped that words would be enough. Bakiri Retsu,

A minute ago. "Hmph. I have no interest in a broken, empty vessel. Leave.""Ah, ya know then, huh? Ah'll cut ya a deal. Tell me what a wan-""Maya, go fetch the materials in case seventeen.""Yes, father."Retsu's eye twitched at the interruption, disrespect and casual disregard for her presence. Aiming her full wrath at the scientist in front of her -that was still peering through his microscope- she didn't bother to stop the demure girl from leaving."Roite. We ken either do this the easy way 'r the-""Tch. Begone, scraps of Bilrost. I am too busy to work with broken tools.""-hard way." He'd made his choice. Palming a small disk-shaped bomb she pressed the button in the center and threw it at his chest. The explosion should be small enough to take him out without damaging the surroundings. A pair of wings erupting from his back put that theory to rest, especially when one of them batted the explosive up to detonate the roof instead. His chair finally swiveled her way, narcissistic rage in his eyes at the audacity of her attack."Know your place."The second wing took her right in the chest sending her through the wooden front door.Now. "Haaaaaah?!" Retsu eloquently retorted. "Ah dun' fookin' care how many a' you dere are!"With the smoke still obscuring the view into the scientist's house Retsu turned her full attention to the new threat. An artillery cannon made out of light. Her teeth grit. She was gonna fookin' kill all of them. Pulling a grenade free at the same time as she dodged sideways to make sure nothing had a straight shot from her inside of the house and hopefully avoid whichever shot was about to be fired her way from the cannon she flung the grenade at the redhead."Here's y'r good fookin' reason!"It wasn't one of her normal ones. Retsu had come loaded for bear. This one in particular was a monofilament wire grenade that would send a dozen small capsules outupon detonation, each of which had several monofilament wires on a rapidly rotating spool. Said wires had a length of about two meters and while they couldn't cut through armor or the like they were more than capable of slicing through flesh. The moment the grenade went flying Retsu was already considering her next move, her eye peeled for any retaliation beyond the first shot.tagged: junsuina || word count: 416 || notes: x

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Well, that didn't work. A tactic that Jun was trying to adopt, especially when getting to a scene, was to achieve some level of high ground and use intimidation to force villains to surrender. At least, a sane villain. Between the maneuvering and the grenade Jun figured she had run into someone who wasn't willing to back down from a fight. She was about to move, but a split second look at the grenade...something wasn't right. It wasn't pineapple shaped, nor did it have a standard flashbang appearance. Something was wrong... She turned, leaping off the side of the building right before the grenade went off. It thankfully wasn't high enough to do any real injury to her knees, but she'd have to roll just right. But the pop behind her...she heard and felt several things whiz over her head, and some of her hair fell around her head. She reached back, feeling her ponytail a good few inches shorter. One of the capsules landed in the alley with her, and looking down at it she found the nasty surprise that was inside. If I was just a hair later... she shuddered, not wanting to think about what would have happened but getting an idea what she was up against. The cannon had faded from existence, other emotions crowding out the one to keep it active. This was fine, maybe she could use that to her advantage. Assuming she wasn't watching her fall into the alley...she really gave up an advantage in this situation, but then again she did that by announcing her presence. Such things made her think of the late Stronghold...but therein was a kink in her assessment. Shouldn't have that villain be at least taken out of commission...? She circled around through the alley on the past street, trying to run parallel with Retsu while keeping building cover between them. If she was carrying grenades that could rip her apart with ease like that, she wanted to keep something between them if possible. Instead, she'd try to track her and keep her from doing any more damage; she should have checked that house for people, but priority was to neutralize the threat first before rendering aid. It was backwards, and she hated making that decision, but two explosions in told Jun that if nothing was done then this whole island might be blown to bits. Bakiri Retsu,

"What barbarism. Such is the plight of lesser creatures such as you, woefully uneducated and ignorant to their own inadequacies. But no, that does not even apply to you now does it? I can see it now. You are failing, know it, and are still getting in my way. Know your place, detritus."Retsu was more than happy to let him ramble while she scanned the surroundings. The rooftop atop which her latest adversary had stood was carved full of furrows and had parts collapsing entirely but she got the distinct feeling her target hadn't suffered the same fate. The tread of heavy boots and a glow from inside of the smokey doorway drew her attention back to the doorway just before the scientist stepped out.Wings of solid light and a katar with a blade that was shaped like a saber and a guard like the cuff of a sleeve had joined his pristine white outfit. Like a physical manifestation of the man's god complex a disk shaped like a halo over his head had manifested as well, one that Retsu doubted even had a function beyond being a sad attempt to make him look imposing."Weird fookin' choice a' last words!" Retsu shouted while throwing one of her most lethal bombs, a thermobaric grenade, at his feet and dashing further down the street. She didn't forget about the other enemy while doing so. Pulling another 'firecracker' out of a pouch she flung it so the grenades would detonate over the rooftops and send shrapnel across them, the alleys around them and both the street she was on and the one on the other side of the houses. It was unlikely to do any damage but if she got a hint as to Junsuina's location she could commit in full. Sticking close to the walls as she ran to minimize the shrapnel that'd hit herself Retsu kept her ears peeled. Any second now.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... There was some kind of conversation on the other side...someone standing up to the woman? Something about barbarism and inadequacies and dermatitis? This was when something clicked within Jun: This isn't random, it's premeditated! She didn't know the full specifics, but she did know she had to do something. Anything. She was about to turn when another grenade crested, one Jun didn't anticipate. She thought she was clever enough to go unnoticed, but apparently whoever this was wasn't taking chances. Pieces of shrapnel tore into Jun's back, leg, and arm, and while each little fragment burned and stung the damage was superficial; the adrenaline was going to keep her going. However, this explosion and no doubt the one that followed clicked something within her brain. Bursting (stumbling) through an alley in front of Retsu she held up one of her fists, her ring pointed directly at Retsu. "How...are you alive?" She panted, quartz glowing menacingly. This wasn't the first time Jun had faced down a dangerous villain, but this was the most on edge she had felt in a long time. "The people here, they don't deserve this. I'd rather we not fight. Put down your weapons and come quietly." She glanced over at the man as the smoke cleared, her eyes going wide. What on earth...? It was not everyday that Jun saw construct quirks, or even emotional based ones. Seeing something so plain like that was odd to her. Regardless, she didn't know what kind of strain he was going through. On either side of her she again summoned up a pair of cannons, this time small eight-pounders. The more she kept Retsu's attention, the better. Bakiri Retsu,

"Oh? Things didn'a filter all the way down the ranks to ya?" Retsu asked with so much edge to her tone it could slice through steel. A volcanic rage bubbled beneath the surface at Junsuina's words, burning almost as hotly as the pain in her left eye. What stung even more was that she didn't know either why she was still alive. From what she knew the fooker that took quirks usually killed his victims. At least that's what the pieces of intel from the Koi facility that she'd been able to piece together had implied. Perhaps her hunch had been wrong. She doubted it and every spike of pain that shot through her was just another confirmation. She didn't even know why she was wasting her time replying. Intuition perhaps. Something about the woman pointing a ring at her felt off. She was just as ignorant as most of Koi's subjects but it almost seemed like she was ignorant in an entirely different way. Retsu wasn't one to think twice about attempting to kill someone for the slightest reason but desperation created room for hesitation. The shine in her eye dulled a little at Junsuina's next words, a crust forming over the volcanic rage and leaving only cold, dispassionate disdain on the surface."The people 'ere don't, huh?" Her voice was flatter than the Maldives. The redhead knew something, this was confirmation. She'd pry it out of the sick fook's mouth no matter what it took. There wasn't nearly as much time left as she'd have liked. She had to know more. It was the only way. Now that thought, that was one that cracked the volcanic crust and brought back the roiling magma of rage. The only way? Fook that, she'd burn everything to the ground and choose her own path. Those cannons were meant to dissuade her? Hah, like they cou-"Maya."The scientist speaking up again caught her off guard, shock causing her to turn her head to look despite knowing what a terrible idea it was to turn her back on an enemy. The thermobaric grenade had gone off at point blank, there was no way he was still alive and yet, there he stood. "Yes, father."She didn't have the time to realize the demure girl from earlier had returned nor did she have the time to look. The girl hadn't even finished speaking before one of Jun's cannons pivoted and fired right at Retsu's head. Junsuina on the other hand had front row seats to the whole course of events. From the mouth of a nearby alley the young girl with heterochromia that had passed her earlier raised on hand in the direction of the cannons, her left eye glowing in a gold-and-purple hue like Ametrine as she did. Jun's control over the cannon momentarily hitched right after, just long enough for it to fire once. Even though the process had taken less than a second, blood poured from the girl's eye and its lustre rapidly faded back to what it'd looked like before just as the girl collapsed to her knees. So too would she see Retsu move her head just in time for the projectile to shred her eyebrow, the skin on her forehead and part of her eyepatch instead of turning her a foot shorter. Death had quite literally scraped her by."AAaaaaaah!!!"Her hand came up to cover her eye just as the remains of her eyepatch fell to the ground. When she next met Jun's gaze hers was filled with fury."Idiot girl. How many times have I told you to leave the eye intact? Lessons never stick with you, there shall be punishment later."The scientist pointed his sword forward and drew a circle in the air roughly a meter wide. From it burst forth a beam of light that threatened to annihilate both Retsu and Junsuina alike if they didn't get out of the way in time. Retsu was dodging before it even fired, tossing herself to the ground and crashing through the door of another nearby house with a roll. Three smaller circles were drawn in the air right after, each turning slightly to aim at one of Junsuina's arms and both of her legs before they fired with enough force to pierce right through should they hit. tagged: junsuina || word count: 734 || notes: x

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... There was a lot going on, and a lot Jun didn't understand. For instance, how in the heck was someone else able to...to...hijack one of her constructs?! Surprise was clear on Jun's face, and with the cannonball barely missing Retsu she didn't know what to think. Thankfully, the mystery construct user would clear things up real fast. Flinging the spent cannon at the girl in the alley, Jun would fire the second at the man before diving for cover, the heat from the ray unpleasant. Between all parties involved, Jun was at a major disadvantage; Bakuretsu, the villain that she was no doubt crashing through a house, knew something that Jun didn't. And this construct user (and his daughter[?]) were, apparently, some other villains? Possibly? Something Jun could at least determine was she should not get close period. Heck, even her constructs were going to be difficult to use because of the girl...although, her eye was bleeding last time Jun got a look there. The next three attacks were something that solidified the whole 'multiple threats' issue. She managed to avoid two (one just barely as it left a cut), but the last punched through her forearm. Pain exploded in her head, and the most she could take solace of was that it was her non-dominant arm (though the other still had pieces of shrapnel in it). She scrambled into cover, running through her options. Bakuretsu was insane, violent, and crass, but she wasn't stupid. At the very least she was a known quantity. The others were unknowns, one of them (Jun assumed) surviving a bomb point blank, the other potentially incapacitated. Logically, the enemy of my enemy was my friend, but considering this "friend" just shot at her told her that he was not very friendly at all. With a grunt she reached down to try and stem the bleeding, trying not to expose herself to any of the players. "So...I naturally have a bunch of questions. To start, who are you? Follow up, there are a bunch of people trying to get away from the chaos, could we move this fight further away from the people? They have no part to play in whatever this is." As far as she was concerned, if anyone teamed up they could easily steamroll the final party. Much as Jun would try to get in and get to that girl, it was possible she'd only be endangering herself for no benefit. She had to keep her head in the game...no hero was close, she was sure of it. But maybe she could force something? If she got rid of that bracelet that Gorgon-sensei made her wear... No. She was the only one that could do anything. Had to do anything. She had to come up with a plan...but what? Bakiri Retsu,

With Retsu having entered the house her view of what was going on outside was far more limited. While rolling she would briefly see the girl being hit by her thrown cannon and falling as a result, the case in her other hand clattering to the ground as she did, but the aftermath was something Retsu wasn't privy to.
The moment she crashed into the building Retsu took a glance around and got moving. She didn't know how many of those beams the prick she'd tracked here could fire out nor how big they were but she wasn't taking any chances. Whirling around when conversation resumed outside the building her hand dropped to her thigh, ready to draw Temper at a moment's notice. As she blinked blood out of her left eye she tilted her head partially to the side to prevent more from going into it. She knew better than to try and wipe it away, forehead wounds bled like a bitch, nothing short of properly sealing the wound would stop that blood flow.
The spikes of pain stabbing into her eye like a severe migraine at the very least stopped the friction burn and torn skin from the cannonball that had scraped by her head from being felt all too much. It was a small victory and one that the sheer fury she felt was blotting out entirely. Gritting her teeth so hard her gums bled Retsu focused on the outside situation instead of her own injuries.
She had to stay on the move. Everything else came second. Retsu had no intention of dying without ever knowing what hit her.
---
"Know your place. You are in no position to ask questions," The scientist spoke as if Jun had just told him she'd gotten mud on his authentic antique Persian carpet. "The plight of the unhallowed is of no concern to me. If you wish to see to their safety then rid us of the rabies-infested dog lashing out against its betters. I shall bequeath upon you a truce and no more. Handle pest control before I return, hero, or I shall be forced to defend myself once more."
He had kept walking the entire time he spoke, not a single mention leaving his mouth of the injuries he'd inflicted upon Junsuina moments before. When he reached his daughter his wings arched while he crouched next her hiding both of them from view. Other than the clasps of the case the girl had been carrying clicking open there was little information as to what he was up to.
Smoke began to billow out of the house Retsu had ducked in moments before, obscuring both the inside and beginning to create a bit of a cloud in front of it. The perpetrator in question ran out of said cloud parallel to the house, her right shoulder almost scraping against it while her left arm hefted a rifle. One that she promptly aimed at Junsuina the second she regained visibility, her left eye twitching painfully and filled with pure hatred as she fired a shot a center mass half a second later.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Well, at the very least Jun learned something important. Whoever this was obviously thought of themselves as high and mighty, superior to those around him. Jun hated those types, and now she wanted to knock him down a peg purely for the sake of it. He was probably evil, too, but Jun didn't have a whole lot of evidence for that. She did think she got herself stuck between a rock and a hard place, though; evil or not, that guy was some kind of criminal, and it wasn't uncommon for criminals to fight each other for scraps of territory or resources or both. Maybe Bakuretsu had some kind of grudge, though? That seemed likely based on her actions thus far...some kind of revenge plot or other. What Jun did know was he was going to try and pit her and Retsu against one another, and grant a coup de grace to whoever came out on top. Jun risked peaking her head around the corner, attempting to get a view of what was going on down the street when her other opponent made herself known, Jun registering and dodging the rifle's bullet on instinct before it could connect; lightning was a struggle, but at the very least she could avoid gunfire. If anything, Jun was amazed Retsu was capable of moving like she could. It would be a good idea to fix that. Jun bolted back down an alley, hammer forming in her hand before sending it towards Retsu. The goal: slam it into her shin to hinder mobility, or at the very least get her to move in a predictable manner. She didn't want to completely cripple Retsu, because if it came down to it Jun might need a little extra help if things went sideways. Which lead into her next attack: two chains, blasting Retsu's way, with the intent to capture. At this point, she didn't know what was worse, a truce with the mad scientist or what she was fixing to do. Either way, once the chains connected, she'd yank back hard as possible, turning a corner and slamming Retsu into a wall. It was a bad idea, but with how volitile the woman was Jun didn't want to risk another bomb going off nearby, so she let the chains recede from the villain...but not without taking the rifle from her. "So now that we're away from you're little friend, lets talk," Jun says, testing the fingers on her bad hand. They moved, but the movement caused pain to shoot up her arm. Bakiri Retsu,

Something wasn't adding up. That thought went through her mind as she slid down the wall and had her rifle taken from her. Retsu had only narrowly managed to avoid taking the hammer head on, her leg lifting to 'roll with the punches' so to say and minimize the blow but the chains had arrived faster than she was able to avoid them.
That by itself was odd.
There were plenty of things that outsped her of course but usually her instincts tended to prioritize making sure to avoid the more dangerous strikes at the cost of tanking the less lethal ones. Getting chained in place within view of an opponent that could fire holes through buildings while the source of said chains stayed safely outside of the line of fire certainly qualified as a death sentence. So what was it that caused her instincts to count the hammer as the more dangerous hit? The only thing she could think of was intent. Live long enough in the back alleys of Tokyo and you learn to read malice in someone's body language. The person in front of her didn't have killer instincts nor even the apathy for life that let one lead someone to their death.
Well, it was more likely that this entire thought process was just post hoc justification for her slip-up but if a lack of self-awareness hurt Retsu would be screaming 24/7. Besides, the fact that she'd been pulled out of view supported her theory. Her ego wouldn't let her admit her mistake, she'd hear the woman out and find out exactly what felt off. Taking in a rasping breath Retsu heard her out and responded.
"Ah'm all ears." Her ribs had taken the brunt of the impact and she was fairly sure one of them had cracked again. That old injury never ceased to cause her problems. Darn. As her eyepatch slid off from the impact a sharp pain shot through it making her grit her teeth. She really should be staying on the move but she needed a moment to catch her breath. Retsu could only hope it wouldn't come back to bite her.
" 'fore that though ah'ma need ta ask a question a' me own. Quirk a' yours, ya always had it or did somethin' else 'appen that made ya get it?"

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun stared at Retsu, processing that question. "What?" It made absolutely no sense. Why did this woman want to know about Jun's quirk? As far as she knew, she always had it. Sure, its discovery was explosive, but she had a happy childhood, no real traumas, normal parents...what kind of question was that? Unless...there was a history here. One that Jun didn't understand, but one she wanted to take steps to unraveling. That was why she was making this decision. Retsu knew what the deal here was, and she was clearly making some kind of inference between that guy and Jun. As incredulous as it sounded, logically it made sense. "My quirk is my own! I...hang on." She created another hammer, though this one was smaller than before. She'd fling it into the ground behind her, creating a bit of a ruckus. "Let's try to pretend we're fighting. I don't know what his plan is, but if a mass murderer like you is after him, and he clearly abhors all other life that doesn't serve him, then there's something going on. Short answer, no one gave me my quirk. And, I'm not expert, but it looks like his application is clearly different from mine. Which leads me into the big question I have, what is the deal between you and him?" It was foolish, but Jun tossed the rifle back to Retsu. As much as she didn't, the truce between them needed some leg to stand on. That, and Jun didn't know how the gun worked. Bakiri Retsu,

"Ah'm askin' whether ya remember y'r quirk awakenin' or whether ya got it some other way!" Retsu hissed in a low tone. She wasn't able to hide the desperation in her question. Retsu knew very little thus far about Bilrost but was it possible that...
No, that was highly unlikely. Nothing she'd learned hinted at what she'd seen the woman in front of her do beyond the broadest of lines. One thing at a time, the data contained in the scientist's files might be able to clear things up anyway.
Retsu's eyes immediately went to the hammer when it formed. The pain in her left eye briefly abated at the same time. That pissed her off something fierce but simultaneously gave her some clarity. "Good enough," she responded while tossing a frag grenade out the other end of the alley, both to sell the ruse and just in case the light-winged fook was intending to come their way.
"None a' y'r business," Retsu fired back with a snarl as she caught the rifle. She had no interest in giving info that the woman could feed to her pro hero cronies, the last thing she wanted was for them to figure out how much she knew. "Important part is that the fooker goes down. 'nless ya want 'im experimentin' on more kids."
Racking the slide on her rifle Retsu got ready to get back in action. "Be careful and stay at range. Dey've got someone' who ken nab quirks." The last thing she wanted was for those fookers to get a hold of more of them. Never again. "Name's Bakuretsu. Dun' get in mah way or y'r next."
Aiming her rifle out of the alley she fired several more shots to empty the mag, slotted in a new one and tossed it back to Junsuina with one hand and a grenade -with the pin still attached this time- with the other.
"Y'all hero types are all 'bout collateral, aint'cha? Pretend ta be both sides of the foite, ah'll go around and fook i'm up when 'e drops 'is guard."

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun narrowed her eyes, arm throbbing as she lifted it up. "Unfortunately, it currently is my business." She would put pressure on the wound again, wincing as she let that information sink in. Bakuretsu as far as Jun knew wasn't involved with the Elementalist...which made what she said baffling. "I'm assuming quirk experimentation. Maybe ties to the Elementalist. No offense, but you don't seem like the type to care what happens to other people. Unless you're trying to manipulate me in some way." A scenario sprang up in Jun's head that made her sick, but it just might help in the long run...at least, with a hidden issue. There'd still be a mass murderer on the loose. It didn't help that, if Retsu had her way, she'd take both the scientist and Jun out in one go. At the very least she had that warning ahead of time. There was one wrinkle in the plan, though. "The girl took over one of my constructs. You should be lucky you still have a face because of that, it's not easy to aim. Let me deal with her first." There was a reason for that: Jun didn't want anyone to die. Retsu's solution would be to put a few rounds center mass, and the problem would be solved. Jun couldn't let that happen... "I know who you are. I keep up with reports whenever I can-" Jun grit her teeth, covering her ears as the rifle fired repeatedly in such a short span in such a constrained area. Taking a breath, Jun straightened out but found several items flying towards her. She caught the rifle, and the grenade bounced nearby. She winced, thinking it might go off but finding that it wasn't armed. Retsu's plan...well, she didn't like it. But there wasn't much she could really do. ...No, there was a lot that Jun could do. She picked up the grenade, putting it in her pocket and moving down the alley. That was going into evidence later: she was going to make sure of it. However, once Jun was out of sight she'd pick up a few loose stones, open the action, and dump them into the breech. It wouldn't be a perfect fix, but she wasn't going to open fire with it. While she never took lessons from Lone Wolf, she did study ballistics to a small extent in all her history searching with ships. In that research she did learn that even rifles, when fired up in the air, could send their deadly missiles far way to lethal effect. Jun wasn't going to take that chance, and she was going to try and prevent Retsu from using this again if she found it. Instead, she'd take one of her gem vials, carefully dump the contents in her hand, and begin using hammers and chains along the alley. Making as much of a ruckus as she could, she'd move in the direction she last saw the pair...searching. If she could find the girl, take them both by surprise, and yank her away she would be able to subdue her. From there...well, the scientist was going to be a lot harder to catch. Bakiri Retsu,
