''Kanjo-san, I do not mean to speak out of turn, but you are pretty in your own right. I am no fashionista, but if you ever feel like you want to put a little more effort into your appearance, not for anyone else just yourself, you can always come to my dorm.'' She offered with a smile, hoping that she could help Jun as much as she had helped her. ''I fully get your sentiment. My quirk may not be as...'' She searched for the word for a moment. ''...Thorough when it comes to tuning into my emotions, but I am not the most emotionally communicative person. However, I do believe your emotions is a big part of what makes you who you are.''She blinked her eyes at Jun's mention of Auden. ''Auden Verchetty?'' Just as she asked Jun the clarification hit her. Of course, Auden's modeling agency, that was Rising Phoenix wasn't it? ''Kanjo-san, this probably sounds hypocritical coming from me, but do remember that it is okay to take a break every now and then. Overworking yourself makes you more prone to becoming sick, which in turn means you would miss out on your curricular duties as a student.'' She communicated it a bit stiffly, but what she was trying to say was that she cared about Jun and would hate to see her take on too much work. ''Hardly.'' She smirked, ''I work on all sorts of bladed weaponry. Swords, daggers, axes, spears, chakrams and so on. The Ando family is highly skilled in the crafting and forging of weapons. I believe this is because our quirk is armor, but my father was the first in the family to elevate the family business because he brought his weapons with him on hero patrols.'' She realized she had rambled for a bit and quickly added. ''Why, is there anything else I can do for you, Kanjo-san?''junsuina

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun shrugged. She didn't agree with Masao, but she didn't have to agree to get along with her. Was better to let the whole appearance/emotion thing to drop. "Sick? I don't have time to get sick!" Jun says, laughing a little. "That's something my grandma frequently said, especially when breakfast needed to be done. It's ah, kinda stuck with me." She did a little more work on her figures, smiling. "Don't worry, I won't overwork myself. I don't even know if I can. I've made out a pretty comprehensive schedule to make it work out." The extent of the Ando family caused Jun to pause her work to look over at Masao, eyes going wide. "Woah. That's pretty cool! I ah, I don't think I want a weapon to carry around with me though." She went back to her work, being delicate. "My family traced its lineage back to the Great War. We were primarily sailors, serving on all kinds of ships. After the war, when the military was all but abolished, we went more into civil service more than anything else. I can make all kinds of weapons, but welding one wouldn't be a good look, I think. Might strike the wrong cord. That, and I'd have to train to use it, and I don't think I could handle that..." She thought for a second, pausing. "Can you make other things? Not weapons? Like uh...bookshelves? Or...other things blacksmiths could make a long time ago?" Masao Ando

''Sickness does not care about whether we have time or not, Kanjo-san.'' She said with a soft smirk, finding her response amusing, but also a bit alarming, and far too relatable. It was all fine and dandy being busy, but once you really got sick there was no way out of it other than to tough it out. ''Sounds like your grandmother was a kind person. My father has always said something to that same effect.'' Despite their upbringings clearly having stark differences, maybe her and Jun had more in common than she first thought? ''It is certainly not for everyone. Depending on the type of weapon, it could also get in the way of you using your quirk, so training without one is perhaps the wiser choice for now.'' She commended Jun on knowing her limits and more specifically, what she wanted to specialize into. Her and Jun rarely talked about the past like this. Maybe it was because they were both such career-minded people and workaholics who were focused on what was right in front of them, but it felt nice to reminisce with a friend for once. ''Sailors? Most impressive, you must have grown up by the seaside, then.'' Her next question amused her, but she suddenly felt how incredibly limited her brand of manufacturing was. ''Bookshelves? That would be more akin to carpentry than smithing.'' Not a weapon? She certainly could, but weapons were her specialty. That being said... ''How about a trinket, or a good luck charm? Or perhaps a custom, steel figurine.''junsuina

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun nods, smiling a little at the thought. "Most of my family is that way. Even my uncle who married a hag. Even if we all do blame him for letting his heart get carried away..." she sighed, shaking her head. "And I didn't really grow up next to the sea, but it was always close. I grew up in Osaka, and my grandparents have a lake house. We have gone sea fishing a number of times, but those instances were rare. And uh, cut down some due to my cousins being absolute terrors and ruining all the fun."She let a few more figures rest, letting the paint dry. "Also, you could totally make a bookshelf out of metal! I've seen some simple pipe or tubing setups." She paused. "But...I think that'd be considered 'fabricating' over forging, now that I think about it..." She nodded at the charms comment. "I guess those work! I've just heard that a craftsman can't narrow on just one thing. Sure, they might be able to make that one thing really really good with no equal, but being able to branch out is important." A smile crossed her face. "But uh, I guess that's a kinda Western idea. I've read that not a lot of medieval weapons and armor made it into the modern age because blacksmiths would convert weapons in times of peace into other things. Horseshoes, nails, plowshares...that sorta thing." Masao Ando

She offered a smile, but couldn't help but feel a little bad for Jun. Was everyone's families dysfunctional like her own? It sounded like Jun had her own battles to fight with her family name. ''That... Certainly is family, is it not? At all its best and worst moments.'' Her gaze wandered to the figurines that Jun finished painting, then the ones she had already done. Did she really do all this by hand? It must have taken her hours, if not days, and by the time she finished that army to use in a match against Enma, it wouldn't surprise her if Jun had ended up putting in whole days worth of effort. Her comment about fabricating intrigued Masao, and it got her thinking that perhaps she had been too fast to pass up on making a bookshelf. ''Indeed, you are very correct that a craftsman cannot simply be content to make one thing and one thing early, so how about this.'' She smiled, bowing her head politely. ''You make a request of me, and whatever you request, I will make it to the best of my ability. Whatever your heart desires, Kanjo-san.'' That way, she could ensure Jun was more likely to end up happy with the finished product too, and who knew? Maybe she might just get an exciting new challenge. junsuina

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... "Yeahhh, I guess that's how family is," she says, shrugging. "We all love one another, but we do get on each others nerves from time to time." She decided to omit the part about her mother. That wasn't important to bring up at this time, and didn't want to bring down the mood. Jun thought about it, and she couldn't really think of anything super impactful that she'd want. It was a cool thought, she had to admit. "I think...I'll need to think on it," she says, putting the brush down. "I think for now I'll just take the neat little weapons for my guys here. Make 'em all intimidating and all that! I know forging might not be the way to go, but maybe it'll be a creative endeavor enough for you to make an attempt?" Masao Ando

''These miniature weapons you request of me will be the most intimidating, immaculate, and detailed models you have ever seen, of that much, I can assure you.'' She smirked, waving her hand dismissively. ''Take your time, Kanjo-san. I am not exactly starved for manufacturing work, and I would rather you put in a commission that you would be satisfied with, than to rush your order.'' To think she had come in here thinking Jun had started an arms race for mice, only to discover that it was for a game thing. She couldn't help but feel like a bit of an idiot sometimes. ''In any case, I should get to work. A quick head count tells me that I am behind you and we cannot have soldiers show up to the battlefield unarmed, now can we?'' She stood up and bowed at Jun before taking her exit. ''Thank you for answering my questions, and I wish you good luck in your coming battle with Enma-kun, Kanjo-san.''As she left and walked back to her workshop thoughts were already flowing through her head at highspeed. She was eager to get to work... Maybe she could squeeze in a couple more hours at the forge for the day. junsuina
