Lair of The Arachneflora

Deep within the maze like interior of the Western, underground section Takamagahara Raid lay a troubling sort of danger.  Winding tunnels and curves that were interwoven with bramble, underbrush, and plant roots would lead to the entrance of a rather spacious room.  Completely darkened to those who had first entered the room, the circular shaped room would seem to lead towards something in the middle.  Yet, anyone that was searching this room would find themselves in a predicament as it almost seemed like the room was vacant.  "Looks like this room's empty Bro-THEEEEEEER!"

That was until a scream could be heard, one of the adventurous vigilantes that had taken part of the raid ahead of the Trio of Heroes had seemingly vanished in the low light of the room.  The voice would scream in an upward direction, causing his partner down below to look upward.

That was when the new light was brought into the room, first illuminated by the body of the missing vigilante.  Pinned to the ceiling with what looked like a vine impaling his torso, his body seemingly pulsating as fluids would in equal parts inflate inside of his body before being drained into the vine.  Feeding itself using his blood, the vine would illuminate in accordance with the blood being drained.  The vine would start to glow with a Bio-luminescence as it traveled down until it reached it's massive bud of a flower-like body. 

The rate of light would rapidly glow to a dimly lit state where everyone would finally be able to see the room in full, along with the monstrosity of the Arachenflora clinging close to the ceiling in this room.



A multicolored flower-bud that clung to the ceiling that was slowly lowering itself towards the ground, only dropping until it was a good ten feet above the ground.  Thin tendrils would cling to the ceiling, one of which still attached to the drained vigilante, whilst other vine-like, barbed tendrils would slowly writhe around aimlessly.

Slowly these tentacles would coil, shrink, extend, and aim to wing around the room.  That was until the vigilante's partner would start to run with authority, trying to get underneath where his buddy was located.  Upon the first sets of footsteps did the Tendrils freeze for but a moment, shivering for a bit before the closest whip around and the large form of the hanging plant Noumu.

The whip would slam right into the vigilante, one of the barbs stabbing the guy right in the gut and sent him flying across the room.  The 2nd Vigilante would be unable to pick himself up, as the tendril followed the vigilante towards the wall.  The tip of the tendril split open like a blooming flower, before a green liquid would spew out from its tip.  Showering the 2nd vigilante in digestive acids, melting the poor wannabe hero into a pulp. 

After that vicious takedown, the vines continued to whip underneath it wildly for several more seconds, until slowing down and returning to a surveying, searching like manner.  All the while the first vigilante was still pinned against the ceiling by the smaller tendrils holding the bud from the ceiling, filling the vigilante with a liquid of sorts before draining it back into its system.

Leaving our unfortunate trio to figure out how to get past this monstrous obstacle...

Hello and welcome to this Boss Battle Thread.  Hope y'all are ready to fight for your lives against this a menacing creature of bastardized nature.  I am not going to make this easy against y'all, so be sure to bring your A-Game.  Though here are some pointers!

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... The environment was twisted, reminding her of places she used to go camping. Except, you know, a million times more ominous. Jun, Yaoyao, and Vox had split off to do a bit more investigating to where Kei might be kept. Jun partly thought that he might be somewhere South, with it being where it might be more lab-like, but if the heroes kept pushing on all fronts like they were doing where they might be keeping captives would come to light sooner or later. With all the fuss she heard going on in the West wing, it would be a good place to pick up to push further into the complex. They weren't the only ones that had decided to go this way, either. The ones ahead of them Jun figured were vigilantes, based on their attitudes and actions (but it also wasn't a grand idea to make these kinds of assumptions), but maybe it would be idea to try and leverage their help. Or so the plan was to go. As they entered into the area Jun saw the first one immediately impaled and subsequently pinned to the ceiling. The other met a...rather grizzly end. One that Jun paled at. She had just finished dealing with a lake of acid, and now this? She wished she was getting paid for this. Now was not the time to hesitate though. Her knees buckled a little, her stomach did a flip, and that overwhelming sense of fear demanded she run the opposite way. That option was unacceptable, so instead she generated several chains that flew out towards the monster's larger tendrils, intent on holding them down. "I'll let the two of you get in! Darkness shrouded their path as they forged on ahead. They were pushing forward in their respective wings, but came together for this particular operation. An investigation deeper into the labyrinth that was the East Wing, where there was a likelihood that people were trapped within so they may never be found. Well, not on Vox' watch. The ones behind the experiments made the mistake of making it personal.

Eventually they came across an obstacle, in the form of a gargantuan plant using one poor soul as energy and the other as target practice. As much as Vox wanted to continue ahead and ignore the creature - and he could, he was confident in his speed and flexibility - he knew he still had a responsibility to uphold. He was a hero. His selfish desire shouldn't blind him from their ultimate goal, and that was to shut down the lab before monsters were unleashed to the world and free more hostages than just Kei.

A way to achieve that was to clear the way by ridding themselves of this thing. It would benefit them either way- if his brother was somewhere in this wing, they wouldn't want to run into the live flora again on the way back.

Vox was glad Jun had the same mindset. Nodding, he readied his hands. "Sounds good to me! I'll leave this with you two, it'll only take a moment- [NONCORROSIVE]!" He slapped both Jun and Yaoyao's backs with the word, sympathizing over the redhead's reluctance with touch but it was the only way he could use his Quirk. Neither have armour as encompassing as Vox' either- he could hopefully resist the acid without the word if he was hit, at least for a little bit. "Now keep a tight grip on the vine!"

With that command given, the hero rushed forward and jabbed a tendril with his blade, swinging himself upward before pulling his sword out and continuing his way. Even if the plant fought against Mood Ring's hold, his experience with traversing on rough terrain would push him onward along the large vine until he reached the thinner ones. A leap and quick swipe against some - one of which was absorbing the poor man's essence - would hopefully free him from his fate.

If it wasn't already too late that is. But Vox had always been an optimist.

OOC: Ryota applies 'noncorrosive' on Jun and Yaoyao in response to the acid display before pulling himself up to run along a large tendril. When he reaches the thin tendrils, he tries to cut them to stop whatever it's doing to the man on the ceiling.
