終ノ空 "Hi, what're you two doing?" Junsuina would hear a voice behind her that wasn't the most familiar, but one she would definitely recognize considering the situation. As if he had appeared out of nowhere, Shion was obliviously staring at the back of his upperclassman's head. Two red circles with nothing but the noises of a food processor occupying the space behind them. "Mm? Toto?" The creature in question immediately let go of Jun's arm, plopping loosely onto the ground below like a live octopus dropped on a boat's deck. Absolutely no indication of them and Jun's tussle were shown in their blank eyes, the rest of their being seeming just as motionless. Was the alien playing dumb this whole time? So well that they even had their companion fooled? Shion's gaze lifted from Toto to look at Jun as she presumably turned around. Judging by the look he was giving her, it was doubtful that he'd be helpful at all regarding explanations of what just happened. "I've. . . seen you before. Right? On that big boat? The moment that Toto let go Jun took multiple steps back, giving the alien-broom-thing a wide berth as she wiped at her arm, trying to stem any panic she had. Looking at Shion and then at Toto, she took a breath before slowly letting it out. "Uh. We haven't met before. At least, I'm pretty sure we haven't." She leaned over a little, studying the weird tentacle things on the broom. "Jun. What the heck is this thing made of to withstand a hit like that..." Jun was still wary of the creature, but happy that this "spar" was over she could relax a little. "Your, uh...pet? Partner? The alien, it challenged me to a fight. The results are...inconclusive..." she trailed off, hoping that this suddenly wouldn't spur on a round 2 all of a sudden. Shion Utsui

終ノ空 Shion's almost googly-eyed look changed to a smile he often wore. There was no sign of tension, almost as if they didn't just interrupt an intense fight. "Great! Sounds like you both had a lot of fun!" Either he was assuming it was a simple play-fight, or didn't witness the absolute terror Jun was experiencing when Toto started crawling onto her like a bug. In fact, it probably was the case that he was in a completely different world than them just now. The normally sunbaked desert that was this part of the training grounds felt cooler now that the sun was beginning to set, allowing various structures in the distance to extend their dark reach. Shion walked out of one of these black skyscrapers, scooping up the utterly docile creature into their arms. "But that's weird- Toto doesn't talk to anyone. Not ever since. . . the accident." Shion put particular emphasis on those two last words, head snapping sideways, looking at his upperclassman directly in the eye as his smile was suddenly gone. Replaced by a sullen mouth. junsuina

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun shifted a little bit further away from the "broom", wanting to keep as much of a buffer between her and it as possible. "Depends on your definition of 'fun'," she mutters, shivering at the thought of it crawling all over her again. The mention of another incident made her pale a little, and realizing that maybe, just maybe, there was more to this thing and that it was probably a lot more sinister than she thought, made her take yet another step away. "Uhhh, right. Well, anyways, I should uh, get going. Get showered up and uh. Ready for work. It was nice talking with you...?" she says, almost questioning in a way. "Well. Bye!" And with great effort she'd look at getting as far away from the pair as possible as casually as possible. Shion Utsui

終ノ空 Left alone, Shion and Toto looked like they were mere pieces on a board when comparing their size to the relative mass of the physical education grounds. "Jeez, talk about falling for a joke." There was no such incident. Shion had intended for it to be something lighthearted, but of course saying something like that after tangling with an alien for a straight 5 minutes wouldn't go down well. "I wonder why. . . " He mused, looking down at the companion held in his arms. "I tried to see where you went, but all I got was pitch black!" A smile would come across the youth's face, his fingers rustling though the emotionless creature's bristles as they began walking off for lunch. "Well- that's okay. Nothing we can't bring up to the specialist." The same way she came, Jun was now gone. A mostly empty training area resembled a desert, one which Shion and Toto began traversing to get back home. The barren landscape was lifeless, yet held a true sense of peace among its dunes.
