Yoru has read about the declining of birthrate within Japan and how that impacts a private school especially those on the countryside. If before this Yoru only know about it through books, now she is made aware of that fact with her own eyes. A school closing down as there is no new student admitted there since last year. Such a sad fate and Yoru feels a bit bitter knowing that she can't do anything to stop it.
The school director is a friend of domeone within the UAU staff and has told them that they want to donate all of the book within the school library to UAU. While the school library itself is small compared to UAU one, it still offers varieties of books. Yoru is there with Futaba sensei to help her load the books i to a box so they can ship it to UAU. As much as they want to take everything, they still need to filter it out to ensure they won't have any double copy on the library.
Fu-sensei. I will start from there! Yoru points at section with Space written on a label. Her face brimming with energy wanting to read those books.
Already completely forgot about their goal here. [newclass=b]color:#D20514 [/newclass] [newclass=i]color:#7b3e46; font-weight:strong[/newclass]

Decline of rural schools was one of the sadder things Futaba had to witness. Being from a rural area, she was used to having small class sizes and generally everyone knowing another. With the declining birthrate and everyone trying to move to the big cities, meaning there would be less and less people. Eventually these small towns would just sort of die a slow death. Many towns that lacked some sort of historical significance or tourism attraction were suffering from this and it was sad to see. So far her hometown had escaped such fate. She doubt it would ever go away. Their Cherry Blossom season was too nice for it that to ever happen.
She had gotten a call from a friend of hers that a school was closing down. It was the school her best friend from university attended. One train ride to Hokkaido later, Futaba and her assistant had made it to small school in the north of the country. She was excited to be there, it was going to be less people and a little break from the hustle and bustle of UAU. After talking to the staff at the school, Futaba had made her way to the library.
"Before you do that, Yasuragi-san. The librarian here gave me a list of the books they have. I already referenced it and drew a line under the books we don't have. If you would, could you find these books in that section?" Futaba would ask, holding out a list of fiction books.
