The forests might not have been the normal place Perry always chose to roam. His people usually kept to the darkness and liked to keep to themselves to avoid harm or any other problems. But sometimes it was a nice escape at the same time to seek nature to get away from the rustle and bustle of human society and cities. Plus the longer he lived with this strange power and mutation he seemed to be going through the more he found himself able to handle issues his more sadly feeble species couldn't.
For now he admired nature and the warm near end day sun upon his fur. His tail dragging along the ground from time to time as he skittered about. Trying to learn these woods and seek out options for hovels and hideouts should he ever need to flee villainy or animal control and all things in between. IT was always a good idea to have a safe place one could hold up for a few days just encase. His inner instincts of his kind made him put a place to hide as something truly valuable to have planned out ahead of time.
He wasn't suited up but all natural as he sometimes chose to do as well. He figured one, It would stir up less interest of other animals and two, He wouldn't have to worry about dirt or other muck ruining his designer suits! After all when he did want to look good he cared quite the deal about those things.
For now he mossied about leaving a strange trail of paw prints in the ground behind him given his kind weren't native to this country. Enjoying to be honest as well the warm but soft sensation of soil on his paws rather then the hot hard and often bumpy cement of city environments.

The hunting that king participated in on a regular basis left him with tracking abilities that many didn’t expect. The large predator enjoyed a semblance of peace outside of tokyo when left alone. The soft rumbling of his step and the scraping of his scales against trees or the ground alike heralded his arrival wherever he went. His towering stature made it easy for people to figure out he was coming; the rumbling on the ground definitely helped a lot too.
His attention inevitably was drawn to the ground, a group of tracks that he didn’t recognize. Curiosity was earned and he’d slowly lean down. The creature that made these were small, practically morsel sized. He’d frown slightly as he realized that whatever it was was not in any way shape or form worth expending the energy to hunt.
But they were the right size to be useful to him; if it was a creature that was a preything it’d likely be willing to work with him right? If it was intelligent he figured. If not it’d just run off and he’d just ignore it from the future. A few stray dogs helped him find some of the more irritating hunts and he’d share his kills with them. But this was… definately not that.
Following the trail it’d only be a manner of time before he caught up to perry. His appearance heralded by the low rumbling, scraping and wisping super heated breathes that came from his mouth. The intelligence that sat behind his baleful eyes were easy to see. Even if perry wasn’t something that he could easily pick out of the forest as of yet. The scent was also very new and strange to him; even if he was close he’d cast his head about. Confusion evident on his face as he seemed to ‘lose’ the trail.

He sniffed and moved about along his path. Looking for various things to scrounge up or new spots for emergency hovels and hideouts. The forests were a place after all where his animal instincts and side could allow him to thrive just like the his mutated evolved side could evolve in the city. He liked being able to survive on both side of the civilized and wilds like that.
He didn't think much of his tracks as with his strengthened body and other odd things from his mutations made him worry less of natural predators. But sometimes this caused him to be too relaxed and make mistakes or be lazy. Or maybe a little laziness just came from being a Opossum as well.
He eventually stopped though feeling something of a slight rumble. Sniffing the air several times as a weak scent seemed to appear wafting just barely hinted in the air. He wasn't quite sure what it was he was lightly hearing and smelling looking about. Wondering if perhaps something had tailed him or perhaps considered pouncing. He would quickly on all fours skitter over near a tree and bush trying to hide just lightly between a bushes shade and leaning against the bark of a tree.
"Hmm, I feel somethings out there... But I don't see anything."

He’d continue following those tracks, sticking his long snout against them to try to get a better grasp on what it was that he was picking up. Was there city in there? No. It wasn’t that nasty smelling. Something more natural but something that probably spent some time in there. Most time? It was really hard to tell. Scrunching his brows together he’d look about. He didn’t see anything large around so this had to be small.
The rumbling of his steps would be very apparent as he walked, keeping his steps near the tracks so he could see where they went. Eventually it seemed to go in one direction and he’d blink slowly; he had no idea how close he was to perry at this moment but he could tell without a shadow of a doubt he was nearing where he wanted to be.
He’d scratch at a temple and look around; he couldn’t pick out the scent in the myriad of ones around and he was pretty sure that if he stayed away from them for too long it’d get overwritten very quickly. So he’d slowly take a seat; scratching again at his scales and letting out an irritated growl. Sounding closer to a monitor lizard or some kind of oversized dog than that of a person.
