[Perry P. Possum]

It was the dark of night but neon and other bright strange colored lights kept many a shadow illuminated in this place. It drew Perry in from time to time to such places. Not realizing how his species naturally liked to skulk around in such places. The smell of sweet and savory food vendors from stop to stop and so many sights to see. While also many a shadow for one to skulk and creep about when one wished out of the eye sight of any dangers or onlookers. 

He considered if sneaking about was better or being upfront in such a place. Right now in his natural fur but his backpack worn on his back. One of his suits amongst other things folded and protected in a sleeve of sorts within. At the moment he peaked about looking for anything curious leaning out of the shadows as a light of embers in his cigar light up his small furry face as he puffed on a rather large cigar held between his fangs and fuzzy lips as he pondered what to do for a meal and the people he might encounter if he left his neon invaded shadows.

"How curious! They weren't kidding when they said this place was bright at night, ho ho~!" Those words escaped the suited gentleman as a grin played across his lips, narrating out loud as he continued his stroll along the street. "A shame that the theater wasn't here~" Musing those words beneath his breath in a thoughtful fashion, he gently tapped his chin as those vibrant yellow optics took in the overall atmosphere. From those filling the streets all the way to the buildings all around them riddled in such a decorative fashion... "...truly a shame, but that's alright~!" Chirping out those words with a sheer sense of delight, he figured it truly was as fine as he said! After all, they could brighten up where they were and eventually shine as bright as this very place surrounding him!

"Ahahaaa~! I mustn't get ahead of myself, or maybe I should~? Pff-fff~!" As his hand slid up to his cheek, idly walking on what felt like auto-pilot, he couldn't help but let a low chuckle rumble about in his throat. Though his long strides gradually slugged down to a complete stop as he noticed a fuzzy little critter poking out from the safety of those shadows around them and goodness gracious, he couldn't help but let out a surprised GASP! "BY JOVE! THEY HAVE THOSE HERE?! ...and....HM!" Adjusting his monocle...he had to make sure he was seeing this correctly, even taking a moment to clean it quickly and place it over his right eye once more before carrying on with his words, sharing thoughts with a world that mightn't care to here them , "...they smoke cigars?! Why how curious and fancy!"

Not a single sane soul in this vicinity would think to do what this tall, finely dressed fellow did...

...he walked right on up to the fellow fluffy fellow, much shorter than himself before blurting out with...perhaps a little too much enthusiasm, "Do you like tea, ol' chap?! I must know!" Because if this refined little furry fellow actually liked tea, he was about to attempt making a friend and perhaps even rope the lil' fella into joining the theater! Whether or not there were any hoops to leap through for such a feat didn't so much as blip upon the radar of his thoughts, after all! This was all so exciting!

[Perry P. Possum]

He was to focused on the smells of food and and bright lights to realize he'd been spotted right away. His teeth gnawing into the end of the cigar on his thing lips. The taste of wet warm tobacco on his tongue along with a smooth smoke that was slowly exhaled from time to time wafting into the air before him. Although with a ear twitch or two he was picking up something or someone nearby ever so lightly. Although distracted as he was his senses were as keen as they normally may have been. 

When he was talked to directly he turned with a bit of a hop of surprise. A small tiny wide legged stance as his tail stiffened and raised his arms as well outstretched a bit. Almost like a deer in the headlights at first sort of expression when he'd been caught. Although thankfully there was no scorn or danger looming from this rather fanciful gentlemen. They positively irradiated with a form of jenesaisquoi that even Perry himself found him drawn in for a long look from top to bottom. Surprised as he was he still struggled with human culture and interactions so he often took things at face value which kept him calm for the moment. 

He pulled his cigar from his lips and teeth. The end of it from his mouth lightly ripped and shredded a bit from his many sharp teeth. He would sort and exhale any remaining smoke that clung to his lungs. A sweet and like cedar like aroma bellowing about him. 

"Tea?, Tea you say?" He'd say a small fuzzy pink index finger tapping away at a equally fuzzy chin. "Well I don't know! I've had some of those tea cans they are called in the machines with snacks and cold drinks in them. But I've never had that fancy normal made stuff you humans drink! Why do you ask! Are you a tea enthusiast! Do you have some sort of powers of tea!" He'd say his animal curiosity often getting the best of him.

Somehow, it was rather eloquent for what he'd expect a marsupial...? For some reason, he was expecting a thick, southern twang to drawl past the critter's lips...but...

Life isn't always full of predictable instances and what have you, there were so many surprises peering around every corner! Such as this short fellow here! Was this fuzzy fella a human with a quirk...? Oh how Pim's mind began to wander, wonder and ponder over such possibilities of quirked animals being something one could actually bump into! Or perhaps...one of his furry friends crawled out from the landscape of his dreams from oh so long ago to say hello...?

No matter the conundrums of what if's, he was pulled back to the here and now full of this is that's! Finding himself blinking rapidly a few times out of sheer confusion...he...did he hear that right? "Only...the canned stuff, hm...?" Now, now...it isn't like he hated the conveniently canned teas, but he certainly preferred them freshly brewed! Some tea certainly tasted delicious either which way, but nothing could truly beat a fresh cup of tea, be it iced or hot! Furrowing his brows as his grin seemed to be more of one that silently said, sir, I am concerned for you as he rest his gaze upon the sophisticated enough marsupial.

"Oh ho...!" This fuzzy fellow was certainly full of surprises, wasn't he?! It appeared he picked up on the scent of tea lingering all about him. Well, there were worse scents one could be laced by...but it wasn't exactly every day someone pin pointed that's what he was all about from the get-go! Rather than get his undies in a bunch over being put on speed dial, the tall gentleman with tendrils draped behind him couldn't help but let out a hearty laugh about the whole thing. There was no reason to be upset by it in his book, after all...

"Why yes, yes I am and I do in that very order~! Precisely, even!" Lightly tilting his head to the side while arching a brow, leaning towards his little audience of one. The scent of Earl Grey tea becoming all the more prominent as he carried on with his words, "Well, you're in luck~! Tonight, you will get to taste the fancy stuff~!" Adjusting his posture while resting his gaze down upon him, that sharp grin grew all the more wide...the sheer amount of teas available in the world to explore were bountiful to say the least!

"First things first~! What sort of flavors and foods do you enjoy, my good sir~?" There was an air of whimsical respect gracing his tone. After all, he wasn't about to demean or speak down to an individual just because they were probably an animal. To survive out here, speak and smoke a cigar...? This critter wasn't one to be treated or played for a fool. Though there were formalities he hadn't taken care of yet...ah...yes, "By the way, terribly sorry, I failed to properly introduce myself..." ...now how did they introduce themselves in Japan again..? What was the appropriate way...?

Sometimes, he had to remind himself that there were certain mannerisms different from places he'd live before...some were similar, others were not. Oh yes, it was last name first! "Finnegan, Pim...but you may simply call me Pim~!" What was next...or was it something that should have been first? Oh yes, that's right...! Taking a bow, one that seemed as natural as could be while elegantly sweeping his arm across his chest rather than both hands at each side before adjusting his posture once more to stand upright once his little introduction was complete. Of course, if the fuzzy fellow held out a and, or paw, rather, for a traditional handshake, it would be returned since goodness...one must keep up with proper formalities!

[Perry P. Possum]

He couldn't help but tilt his small furry head at the curious words muttered from this special gentlemen. He was a strange one that was for sure but he seemed to have a way of snagging and holding ones attention to say the least. He would nod though scratching his side lightly as he did so as well when talking about tea still. "Yea its hard for me to get fancy stuff! I usually get snacks and cans and stuff cause its easier for one like me. Humans tend to shake brooms at me or try and get animals like me out of their establishments rather quickly. Stinky humans the lot of them." 

He couldn't help but sniff the air curious of this clever fellow and his fanciful words. Something about him making Perry be intrigued. "Well good sir! I'm never one to turn down a chance at good food or drink!" He'd say finishing his current cigar before putting it out with a twist and shove against the ground and then with a arching throw managed to toss it in a arch into the garbage can that was far larger then himself. Giving a small air fist bump as he did so. 

"I like spicy food! I also like many a sweet fruits and juicy meats!" As he considered other things to expand upon that with the fellow introduced himself more properly with their name even a bow and all the proper manners implied. "That's rather polite of you... WELL since you seem to be so kind and respectful for a human. I'll introduce myself as well." He'd say with a light snort smiling and nodding his head. "My name is Perry P. Possum, But feel free to just call me Perry!" He'd with a curved grin up one side of his cheek and several rows of small sharp chompers lightly shining from a bit of neon light glinting on them.

"Oh dear, brooms...? Muttering those trio of words thoughtfully under his breath, he wasn't quite sure what to make of such a statement, really. Such an unfortunate circumstance was, "...curious..." to say the least...why would someone shake a broom at such a polite, fluffy little fellow? Alices sure were strange...then again, he didn't bother going out much as a child beyond what was necessary...so perhaps this was normal? Who knew, but he hoped to at the very least turn things around, even a little, for this chatty critter!

The tall gentleman couldn't blame this fuzzy gentlefolk for accusing those humans of poor hygiene of being stinky, allegedly.

Though the tiny fellow covered in fluff much thicker than his own...or at least at the moment, seemed pleased at this offer of being treated to food and drink! Though the gears of his mind cranked n' churned about on how to properly accomplish such a task, especially since he'd been shuffled out with a broom as if he was an unwanted rodent of some kind. Pim certainly knew that he, himself, happened to be a crafty fellow and could come up with a sort of solution, though! This wasn't a mission of impossible endeavors, after all!

No, no...this was a simple task of entering an establishment and having some tea...perhaps cookies as well?

Life was nothing more than a collective of possibilities manifesting every single moment which was certainly becoming quite fascinating! Especially since there was a talking creature outside of the realm of his dreams?! OH TRULY A TREAT, A DELIGHTFUL ONE AT THAT! Listening intently to the fluffy fellow, really letting those words seep in the wrinkles of his brain, he starting rummaging through thoughts of sorts on what they could get. Fruits were always easy enough to find in delectable goodness and tea...and there were all sorts of teas that went with meat...

Though when that fuzzy fellow not only complimented him and introduced himself? WHY HE COULDN'T HELP BUT GRIN RIGHT BACK! Binging his hands up to applaud such a fitting name for this little fellow, he spoke up with such a chipper air about his tone, "Perry P. Possum, truly such a delightful name! Ah, Perry, my dear new friend~! We're going to spin n' twirl the tables on this glorious evening~!" Bringing his hand up to his chin...that's when he began to ponder...this bright yellow orbs darting around to see if there was anything they could use within this fine vicinity as a disguise.

Something that would help him sneak in Mr. Possum over here who had a rather American way of introducing himself, so at least he wasn't alone in adapting to his surroundings...right? "Hmmm..." They could probably toss him in a lil outfit and get away with saying it's his uncle from out of town or something? Or...

"Perry, my good sir...do you think you could impersonate a cat...?" That's right, his gaze rest upon a vibrant cat cafe and it only made sense that he could bring in a cat of his own....right?! SURELY he could just douse a bit of his tea upon Mr. Possum and make him look like a cat, but they could have fun with a little costume! Returning his gaze towards the smart lil' fella with a sharp grin, he arched a brow then adjusted his monocle...

He nodded letting off a light snort as he did so. Humans were always a mixed bag so to speak when it came to how he was reacted to and treated. It's what caused him to be cautious at times when dealing with the older adult ones. The little ones were sometimes okay more so though. "Yea for some reason allot of them in those shops or food spots really like to shake brooms at hungry creature such as myself looking for the goods! Really rather rude ya know!" He'd say sniffing the air with a lightly annoyed look on his small furry face as he said so. The though of past experiences only breifly souring a small fraction of his mood. 

He paused when the fine gentlemen seemed to end his pondering and make a very odd question towards the furry possum fellow. He was more curious then anything... If he'd been asked to impersonate a rate his ire and rage may have boiled up given he couldn't help but hate that mistake of comparison. But a cat?... That was a interesting question. He pondered on it tapping a fuzzy chin with a little pink finger thinking about it. 

"Like a talking walking one like myself? Or the normal ones that like to hiss and piss everywhere to say they own this or that? If you want me to act like a more... developed kind of my animal brethren kitties. Then I suppose maybe I could. It may be difficult given my looks though." He added at the end although he couldn't help but feel his new friend likely already had a answer for such a quandary.
