If there was ever a man that was nothing but love, caring and gentle that would be Saturn Rives. His being, his utterance and passion is that of caring for his fellow man. From the youngest child to the oldest senior every single person is deserving of respect, love and to live a full and healthy life. Never once has he considered stepping away from his path to protect others and never once has he ever considered doing anything other than helping them.
He's a kind hearted behemoth of a man, that towers over many but often more than not you'll see him kneeling. Gentle hands helping those in need and even those that might not seem like it. His ears always listening, his smile never wavering. He never claimed a hero name because he never needed or wanted one; his life while rife with violence and regrets he never let them pull him down. He always found a solution even if it was a strange or lopsided one; but that was the point to find one.
Violence is the last resort that he often doesn't want to take, rather talking it out. Once violence erupts however and that is the path that must be taken... He is an unrelenting force. One that is passionate in his work and quick to come to the endpoint. He does not dally when the life of others are on the line.
He might not be the hero everyone wants, the hero that everyone needs. But he will be the hero that he feels is right.

Saturn is a rather tall athletic looking individual. He has a long neck covered in a puffy set of fur. Aside from the mane of fur that hangs down from the back of his head and juts out from the back he also has a set of fur that hangs down over the dark brown batch around his neck. Giving him a prominent look of having a long neck.
His face is always split in a grin and his eyes seemed to always be closed. He has a set of long pointed ears that flick neigh constantly. His tail is separated in three chunks, two golden rings and a third that is ended in a puffy golden multifaceted brown 'stub'.
His legs are quasi Digi grade in nature ending off in taloned feet with three minor claws and a major dew claw that is good at helping him climb. His arms are mostly normal ending off like his feet in a darker brown almost black fur. At the bottom of his feet and on the ends of his finger tips he has pads that let him grip things with ease.
His markings on his body are constantly moving in a rotation to match his namesakes nature. It's quite hypnotizing to look at honestly.
He often is seens wearing his hero uniform, more so than not. It's colors may change but it largely remains the same. A loose ring collar that sits about his shoulders and drapes down. It's colors vary but often it's black and white. He doesn't wear a shirt and tends to wear bands on his biceps that match his sandy composition. His bracers that he wears on his forearms are almost elven in design if you had to compare them to something. They are smooth and dense, but again matching his sandy composition.
His ants that he wears are often blue in color, held up by a sash of a deeper blue with a tabbard that hangs down from the center of that sash. With gold diamond inlaids and gold filigree. Or what one can assume is gold [it's more sand].

Saturn's early childhood was a blur of his parents trying to defend him from violence and onlookers that didn't take kindly to a mutated freak among them. He wasn't treated well growing up by many of those around him while his parents often told him that people were just scared.
He often asked "scared of what?"
His parents at first didn't have a good answer, instead they'd often try to focus away from that and eventually told him that they were afraid of change. That his parents were also afraid of him because they had never heard or seen something like this. They weren't exactly the most well learned individuals either but they were caring loving people that didn't want their son to end up dead or hating the world.
His early childhood was a lot of moving around and fussing with the various neighborhoods. But as he grew older his quirk became more obvious than just being his body made out of sand stuff. He could control it, he could control sand as long as it was around him to a degree. His parents often had him help around the house. From chores to finer things he eventually realized that he could do more than just... well Help around the house.
When he was a mere fledgling, away from the world to a degree the local japanese goverment approached him. They wanted to help train him to use his abilities since he seemed so tender hearted to help others. A young and foolish saturn said yes. A few years of harrowing training and a lot of sweat, blood and tears they felt he was ready.
His debut was a little less than perfect, he frequently made errors early on but he always followed with a award winning grin and the exact words many needed to hear to move forward from horrible happenings.
It was on his many patrols that followed that he not only met the love of his life: Nilmimi, that he started to see a theme with it. He however wasn't really the sort to know how to approach her about this sort of thing. A few sparse meetings at first by just happenstance.
Then there came an exchange of numbers, actual set dates [yes a few were interuptted by villains but spiderguy couldn't catch a break so why should he?] followed by more and more meetings that... Eventually lead to a marriage proposal by the love of his life. He was floored, flabbergasted but ultimately said yes. The two of them had a child together, a young precious boy given the name of Yohannes.
But unfortunately all good things aren't meant to last it seemed and as quick as she came into his life she had to leave. It was largely unknown to him that it was due to her parents but he felt like due to her shy nature that she would eventually tell him. He held no hatred for her sudden departure and frequently would send her letters, tapes and photos of their child's growth. Sometimes he'd get letters back but... They always seemed off to him and he couldn't explain it.
A great deal of time went into raising his son; a great deal of time went into setting him up to be a loving and caring individual. In which he was, although he also turned out to be extremely lazy but with a good heart.
When he wasn't patrolling or handling agency related things he was running a humble music shop for the explicit purpose of making sure that his son had something to feed into his desire to be a musician. Often when he wasn't there yohannes would run the register or handle customers in general.
His life even for a hero was that of a fairly peaceful and loving one. If not set by the way he interacted with those around him and catered to by his parents at a very young age. Its something that he wants for everyone, to live their life in peace.

QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Sandman is a dual quirk that the baseline is saturn's body is made out of sand. Making it possible for him to survive injuries that would otherwise kill him. Dethatching limbs or the like is more of an inconvenience or blowing holes in him just reduces his sandmass rather than outright incapacitating him for example.
His emitter portion allows him to control or manipulate sand within a fairly sizeable range near him. He cannot generate his own and the sand that makes up his own body is easier to manipulate than the sand that you just find laying around everywhere.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS:
Fire. Fire is one of the largest drawbacks that saturn has to deal with. If an intense enough flame is brought to bear against him he quickly finds his skin turning into glass. When enough heat is applied portions of his body might outright turn into the stuff. It's possible to fully turn him into glass; though while not killing him would incapacitate him till someone shattered him and let his sand particles return to normal. Though this might take years or even decades to do so.
Water. Water is another large drawback, when he gets soggy his control of nearby sand is downright gone and his natural toughness while still present is much less responsive. He cannot communicate if his head gets soaked as his mouth is often sealed shut and his qualities that make it easy for him to come back together are also halved. From sandman to mudman really.
If no sand is present he has to use his own constitution to provide sandmass to use on his emitter portion of his quirk. Which actively hurts him due to the finite amount of sand that he is. He's not a bottomless well of sand. He takes the same level of tier of damage that he would if he uses his own personal sand to his entire body.
