Background: Monarch Hero Agency is one of Japan's oldest, having been brought into existence in the early years after the advent of Quirks. Founded and run by the Monobe family, it wouldn't take long for the agency to establish itself as a connected and dominant force in the burgeoning industry of heroics, thanks to the connections of the influential family in politics and the private sector.

Its reputation, however, would be marred by claims of sexism and discrimination, directed towards its seemingly unequal hiring practices in regard to women and those who possessed Quirks that changed their outward appearances. Fifteen years ago, the agency would be taken over by Jugemo Monobe, the hero known as Daimao, that this would change. In a drastic turn, Daimao would fire all other heroes from the agency, including his own brothers, and close the doors of the agency before embarking on a career as an independent hero.

This would see him travel to Europe, where he earned a reputation as a "Villain Hunter", tracking down and bringing in dangerous wanted criminals from across the nations. Ten years ago, he would abruptly return to Japan, reopening the doors to the agency under a radically different formula and methodology, seeking out potential interns and sidekicks across the nation to serve as the future heroes of the agency.

Recently, Daimao would retire, due to lasting health issues due to the injuries he'd sustained years earlier, naming Demura Kano, known as the hero Dauntless, to take his place.

Purpose: Monarch favors a proactive approach to public safety and heroics, being known for its villain suppression tactics and its war against organized crime over instances of public service (community work, volunteering, outreach) and disaster relief. Much of its resources are dedicated towards the training and equipment necessary to neutralize the former before they can become true threats, though they still possess a capacity to respond the latter.

Due to this, it enjoys a close working relationship with law enforcement, and much of its internal structure reflects that. Though like many agencies it seeks to nurture the next generation of heroes, it is strict in its recruitment and verifying methods.

AGE: 30 AFFILIATION: FUJI-HAKONE IZU NATIONAL PARK OCCUPATION: SENIOR PARK RANGER QUIRK QUIRK OVERVIEW: "Bliss" is an Emitter-type Quirk that allows the user's body to emit a pheromone that causes creatures effected by to enter a tranquil and peaceful state. The effect is described as similar to being lulled to sleep, though the affected remain conscious during the course of it. Once it has worn off, they snap out of the state in a fugue of confusion and disorientation.

CHARACTER OVERVIEW:
Born in the Japanese countryside of the Kanto Region, growing up as the daughter of a farming family. As a child, she spent much of her time in the wilderness surrounding her village, playing in the fields, the streams, and the forest alongside other children, and gaining an appreciation for nature and its beauty. As middle schooler she began attending classes within the city, experiencing a sense of culture shot due to the dense urban setting in comparison to the wide open spaces of the countryside. Still, young Sukimaya persevered in her studies and socially, making friends of her peers and the respect of her teachers.

In high school she maintained high marks, and upon graduation, decided to major in wildlife management at the Shibani Institute of Kyoto. Her she would earn an internship during her studies with the Fuji-Hakone Izu National Park, working with animals and learning to help maintain country's natural environments. This would turn into a full-time job after graduating with a bachelor's, taking up a position as a Park Ranger.

During these years she would meet Demura Kano, through small gathering hosted by mutuals. The two would hit it off while chatting, and follow it up with a coffee meeting. After several more such dates, the two became a couple. Sukimaya has proven to be a very capable leader within her park, heading initiatives such as cycling guided and non-guided walkthroughs of areas by season, so as to not overwhelm popular spots and spoil them due to mass tourism. She has also work to zone more areas as off limits to the public, preserving them as they have been for centuries. Her success in these intiatives has led to her position as a Senior Ranger of the Fuji-Hakone Izu National Park.

When Demura returned after his year abroad tracking and taking down Red Claw, he proposed to her on the spot, which she accepted. They were married in short order.

AGE: 28 AFFILIATION: MONARCH HERO AGENCY OCCUPATION: PRO HERO QUIRK QUIRK OVERVIEW: "Beast by Twilight" is a Transformation-type Quirk that allows the user to take on two different forms. The first is that of a ebon-colored crow. The second is that of an ebon-colored tiger. In both forms the user retains their original awareness, though they gain traits associated with them. They also are capable of blending in with shadows and moving silently, even while running or flying quickly.
