The soft rain had stopped maybe a few hours ago, it was a refreshing entrance to his day. Cracking an eye the behemoth let out a soft sigh. Rain was pleasant, the water especially when it ran down his scales. It was pure, it felt nice and tasted nice too. He’d slowly yawn as he stretched, looking to the sky as he did so. Not a cloud in the sky.
It’d mean less likely to find prey out in the open he figured, at least around here. They’d be hiding in the shade. Grumbling he’d pull himself out of his home, a gift from someone else that he hadn’t seen in a minute but that was fine. There were many different people that had stumbled across him at this point, ranging from outright fear to fascination. The rumbling of his steps started the second that he moved; he could hear the birds go immediately quiet.
It was frustrating as he moved along; much of the scents of the day were washed away by the earlier rain meaning tracking things was going to be difficult… Gritting his teeth as he stepped over a log the dragon blinked a bit as he felt a ‘snap’ and a sudden pressure on his forepaw. Looking down he’d blink slowly as he realized he had stepped right into…
A bear trap.
It was straining and was pinned into the ground. With a sigh he’d pull his leg up; easily taking it out of the ground but… He inspected it and frowned a bit. It was made out of some stern kind of stuff; he’d need to smash it against something harder than the trees around here. Which meant a hike towards the roadways where metal and pavement sat. Gods that was annoying but… The dragon rolled his shoulders and slowly started to move towards where he recalled the hiking trails.
They led to the roads and he’d find his way there from that.

The Moon Rabbit! With a wooden parasol she made out of her quirk held within her grasp, those rope loops swayed gently about with her movement as she strolled along the forest. Now, she wasn't exactly someone who was enamored by the splendor of nature! See, she was out here for a quick, probably easy, bundle of yen for some dumb photo. All she had to do was find some massive, tall as hell cryptid of a mutant and boom, easy money! With how many stories there were, the guy had to be real...that or everyone was high as hell and sharing the same hallucination-- --ah shit, if that was the case, she was boned! Whatever, she could probably get away with taking a photo of something then editing it to look like the elusive cryptid, it wasn't that deep. Pausing in her steps, she squinted at absolutely nothing in particular and wiggled her nose at that thought...why didn't she just do that?! Maybe it's because part of her figured she could get some tall chump to hold absurdly large billboards for her at a low to no cost. Huffing out a frustrated little scoff, she kept hold upon her parasol, leaning it against her shoulder before taking out her phone with one hand. "...this is stupid, whadda waste of my time, tch." Holding up her phone, she directed it towards what she thought was some big, chonky exotic bird but... "Wait a second, is that a FOOT?!" Snapping the photo, she used her chin to hold the pole of her parasol against her chest while zooming in and-- "BWEEP! NO WAY!"PAY DAY, HERE SHE COMES! Though...huh...what was that thing at the edge of the picture? ...an anklet? Shrugging at the weird choice of fashion accessories, she held her phone with one hand and grasped upon the parasol with the other. Ready to take a photo, maybe even a video as she quickly walked over and once she got close by...the corner of mouth lightly twitched upon realizing what was around this guy's ankle wasn't some tacky accessory but... "Bweep...that's the biggest bear trap I've ever seen in my whole friggin' life." The petite woman's words were more stale then month old bread. Part of her wanted to offer help out of the kindness of her heart, yet there was a larger part of her that had other motives. The kind where both parties win, but she'd benefit so much more in the long run. "HEY! WANNA MAKE A DEAL?! I HELP YOU OUTTA THAT STUPID THING AND YOU HELP ME OUT WITH SOMETHIN'!" Calling up to the stupidly tall doofus who got stuck in a trap, she scurried after him and waggled her parasol up at him in hopes to get his attention. Prying that thing open with her quirk shouldn't be that tough as long as he could stay still, which with how little that big ol' dumb bear trap seemed to bug him since ya know...he could still walk...should be a cinch.

Maybe he could remove the trap through just scraping it against the side of the mountain? A whole days worth of travel would be ahead of him and this annoyance would just eat at his energy now that he thought about it. Yawning somewhat he considered his next actions. Maybe he could take a nap in the river and let the water do it’s job at rusting it? That could take a long time too though…
It wasn’t long till something caught his attention; the sound of a voice. Looking around his ears flicked, but finding nothing immediately he’d continue to trudge along, leaving some decent sized footprints. He seemed like he was just content to loaf along and even more so to where he could likely handle this on his own. But that’s when his decision took a noise dive. The sudden leap of Yue’s voice to that of self talking to that of yelling was a steep one and his head slowly turned about.
The parasol was unneeded. She reeked of the city landscape; there was a softness to that scent still and there was a few long moments where he tried to figure out what he was looking at. A deal? He’d cock his head to one side and his baleful green eyes went down to the trap and then back to her. There was a sinister sort of intelligence behind that gaze; one that spoke that he wasn’t just some dumb animal. But likely just someone who… well thought it was beneath him and hadn’t been looking where he was going.
”What… kind of… Deal… Human?”
There was a lot of hatred in that last word; there was no clear mutation that he could see. Nothing that really put him at ease. She had a huge head of hair sure but that wasn’t meaning that she was any kind of quirker. He couldn’t think of someone trying to give him a deal in this fashion and no one that small. Was this a lost child? There was a pang of self realization that… well maybe this kid was lost and wanted to offer their help with something so he could show them the way home. That fire and irritation flopped immediately and he’d turn fully about before lowering his head, eyes studying her from head to toe. There was a distinct lack of hatred, a distinct lack of pain in his voice when he spoke next.
”...Children shouldn’t… be out… here alone… where are… your par… ents..?”

The Moon Rabbit! Narrowing her eyes as she looked up at the sea creature, she showed absolutely no fear what-so-over. However, she did let frustration clearly shine through at how this guy was using the word human towards her as if it was a slur. The bitterness reminded her of some unsavory folks back when things weren't exactly sunshine and roses for her. Didn't matter how big he was, that he could squish her like a bug if she hadn't moved fast enough...nawh. Right now. He was some jerk she could use. Oh and of course this chump ass punk would call her a kid, go figure. At least he seemed to get off his hate high horse and speak a little more nicely in her general direction. Fine. It was time to play ball. "My parents? They're home or something like that, goat mom's been getting into wrestling with some lady she met. Dad's probably out shopping with my sister, who knows..." Not bothering to answer clearly as to whether or not she was actually a child, she just figured to offer half of the story and let him scoot along with his assumptions if it meant making him less pissy. "Anyway, that's not a big whoop-dee-doo, you got that nasty thing stuck on you and I can help!" Lifting one hand off of her parasol, she gestured towards the trap stubbornly clinging to his flesh. "All you have to do is hold up a big ol' sign for me one day and lemme get a selfie!" Kindness came at a cost, especially for jerks like this. Offering what appeared to be a sweet smile, she continued speaking up, "If that sounds good to you, then I'll get to it~!"Deal or no deal? The ball was in his court right now...

When it came to the younger generation he knew that there was sometimes a stern hand that was needed but by the sounds of it this one had come out by their own accord. Their parents probably didn’t know she was out here. If they did… Well they likely wouldn’t have appreciated if anything happened to her. He knew that parents were protective of their kids and it’d probably behoove him not to let anything happen to her even if she was human.
”...So why are you here? So many… children as of late come out here…”
The behemoth mused lightly; if she wasn’t intentionally here maybe she was lost? It was hard to tell. But then the small student poked at the fact that he had that trap around his leg. It was annoying at best and he’d look down at it. It would be bothersome and long term wouldn’t let him move as freely as he wanted. He’d slowly tilt his head as the other offered to take care of it for a cost. A picture and holding a sign? That was it? His brow furrowed slowly and his head would move down to somewhat inspect the other. That sweet smile seemed… off to him for some reason. But after a moments pause he’d slowly dip his head in a nod.
”...If that’s all… sure.”
One day could be today, could be later. Could be never. He wasn’t pressed for time and if she knew how to find him now she’d just poke around to do so a second time right? He’d adjust a little bit; sitting almost in a cat like fashion; his eyes staring quietly at the purple haired student. Eventually he’d ask; albeit at a low rumble a question that was somewhat easy to answer. This big guy even though he seemed largely unbothered was one of few words.
”...Name…?”

The Moon Rabbit! "Me? I just think nature's really nice!" Shrugging and offering a thoughtful smile polished off with a head tilt and chuckle, cheerfully chirping up towards the sea monster of a man...closing her eyes as she oh so casually said, "Bweep~? Bad parenting, probably!" A light and airy laugh escaped her petite form as a devilishly sweet smile crossed her lips. "People are pretty stupid, ya know~!" Bringing a hand up near her mouth, spreading her fingers like oh mi gosh, wow as her grin grew, "Uuuuwwwaaa~! Sounds like we have a deal~! I'll take part of my payment, that's what we like to call a security deposit~"Playfully poking out her tongue with a wink, she brought out her phone and angled the umbrella to completely cover the annoying little bear trap. Gotta have a nice, clean photo, after all! Taking care with the angle to make sure it was perfect, "Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~!" she snapped the shot and tucked her phone away. Not like she forgot he asked for her name, but she looked up at him, "It's Yue, but most folks call me Bun, what's yours?" Flipping the parasol up, she waved her hand above her head, triggering the wooden parasol made of her quirk to break apart. Then elegantly in a half moon shape, almost like she should be holding a fan, those pieces shifted along with the motion as her gaze fell upon the trap itself. Holding her pose, she had to make sure of something else in the process, "Stay still and no squirming...if you need something to bite on or whatever, you better let me know right now. Pacing her breathing, she rummaged through all those shitty memories that came in handy during times like these while waiting for his response before proceeding...

King wasn’t sure if he would in the scope of things travel out to the middle of no where just because nature was ‘nice’. He lived in it all the time and there were things he wished he could change for the better long term since he lived here but he didn’t question it. Just giving a slightly adjustment to one ear and then a slight tilt of the head. He was a man of few words so he let her talk as she pleased. Not even looking at all phased by the appearance of a phone. Last one he recalled seeing was more of a brick and had the durability to match. In fact he was pretty sure that the phone still worked if it ever got a charge again.
His expression didn’t falter and he just stared forward at the phone as the other took a picture. His silence was mounting and he had to just more or less let her take the wheel in regards to it. It wasn’t like he could take the picture for her. His claws were too big. Once she had taken the picture and tucked the phone away he’d adjust slightly again. Her name was given: Yue or Bun. He could understand both given that she was small like a rabbit… and Yue must have been a given name rather than a nickname. Then flipped on its head she’d ask him for his.
”King.”
He was a man of few words, that was often obvious. But there was an understanding in there too regarding it. Seeing her move and start the process he wouldn’t seem bothered at all. In fact when she suggested that he bite something he’d shrug, putting his mouth around a fallen tree trunk. Then his muffled response came…
”Like this?”

The Moon Rabbit! King? Who would name their kid that... ...fricken' weird, maybe he called himself that because he felt like he was king of the forrest or whatever? Didn't matter, she had her end of the bargain to fulfill. From the looks of it, the bear trap stuck on his leg wasn't really bothering him, but there was no telling that it would keep being a nothing burger for someone like him when she started getting the damn thing off. Not like she'd talk about why she knew how to take these damn things off to a total stranger... ...or at least the whole truth. Positioning the planks, "Yup! If it hurts, just bite down! This won't take me very long!" Nor would she openly chatter about why she suggested biting down on something when there was no anesthesia available. Life didn't always offer luxuries, sometimes you just worked within your means... "One more thing, when I tell you to move your leg move it, no hesitation." Those last words lost whatever warmth lingered from before, with the planks in position at the sides where the spring mechanism happened to be, she slammed her hands together. Using her own strength behind it to apply pressure upon the springs, beads of sweat began rolling down her cheeks, the bear trap creaking loudly like a falling tree. "Move it, NOW!" For such a petite young woman, she sure managed to sound like a commander of some sort just then... ...if he followed her instructions, she'd slide her palms across one another to put the planks in-between so nothing else could get hurt by the damn thing.

King stared down at the much smaller student; unsure of what sort of reaction she had to his name. He wasn’t even sure if it was his name or some title; he barely remembered things outside the painful experiences he had and some of the more easily… kept track of things. Like where his den was or where the city was and why he didn’t go there. With his jaws firmly set on the tree he had to wonder how many times she had dealt with something like this.
Surely she couldn’t break the trap? Flicking his ears as she spoke she’d be able to see the faintest of nods. It was an easy thing to see that he wasn’t going to ignore her instructions. No hesitation? Easy. Just move it? Easier. So he’d sit there like a stone golem out of one of those fancy tabletop games.
He’d watch her curiously, he wasn’t sure what she was going to do. But clearly something very interesting given that she was quick to push the beartrap apart with… was that wood? There wasn’t any hesitation in his actions though; the second he felt those jaws pull back from his scales he’d move them aside. Bun would also see that other than a deep imprint of the metal on his scales… That he was completely unharmed. Not only was this beartrap bigger than normal; it still wasn’t big enough to pose a considerable threat to the big guy. He’d adjust and move his leg, rotating the paw of it after a few moments and nod.
”...Thank you…”
The real question that he had to pose here was: Was there anything else that she could possibly want from him other than the selfie and some billboard idea? Or was this a one time deal and he'd never see her again after it was all said and done. He further had to wonder how many people might come out here to bug him after these occurances.

The Moon Rabbit! The guy knew how to follow directions... ...good. Once the trap was off of his leg, she let out a heavy sigh and flung it off to the side with the planks then riiiiiiight into a bush. Turning her lavender gaze back towards the large mutant quirker, reaching across to rub her shoulder while rotating her arm a bit. That damn thing was pretty strong...stronger than most of the usual bear traps she'd come across in the past...it was a given that the smaller ones were easier to open, but this one felt modified. "You're welcome~! Noooow..." Saying those words with a smile and thoughtfully chipper air, she then placed her hands upon her hips after the tension was eased from her arm. "...where did you find this stupid thing, King?" Part of her wanted to jokingly call him your highness, but it felt like that's been beaten like a drum. Or at least they thought so, especially if it's one of the first passive jokes that came to mind. Still, it felt so weird for someone to be named King, just...how pretentious could ya get? Then again, maybe someone was like oh, you're the king of the forest, your name must be King now!..? Who the hell knows, but she wasn't curious enough to pry at the moment. However, it would be a large disservice not to disarm and hide at least some of the traps... ...last she checked, it wasn't crossing any lines or anything like that to deal with traps that could seriously hurt someone. This guy was lucky, looking over his wounds...they were already healing up, so it was more like a minor inconvenience in the end for him, but someone else could have been seriously hurt. Just because she preferred to collect favors that made people indebted to her, didn't mean that she was going to turn a blind eye to things that could cause serious harm to folks minding their own business...

King was a few things. Simple. Straightforward. Honest. To the point.
He didn’t have an unlimited amount of patience and he was quite brash and arrogant in several regards. But those personality traits often were left by the wayside with him being on his own. It was easy to simply just think about how much he enjoyed being free and in the wild as it were. He’d slowly cock his head to one side as the human spoke; asking where he had found it. He’d ponder and look back.
”...A few… Miles back. Some… obvious… others…”
He’d look to the bear trap and stare at it for a few long moments. The indents that the bear trap had left were healed by now. Not even a scratch left on him. His regenerative qualities were simply so great that must have been the reason why he survived as long as he did. He’d ponder something further and then look to Bun.
”...How… did you… know… to… do that?”
He’d rumble, his curiosity was piqued and he wasn’t sure if the other would answer his question honestly or not. So far they had been straight with him so he found no reason that they wouldn’t here. He’d push the log that he had been biting out of the way of the path now that it wasn’t needed; the holes his teeth made being present and dimly lit by some light through the canopy and after a moment king would spit some bark that had remained in his mouth to one side. Clearly he didn’t like plants that way…
