September 26, 2081, Izumi Moriya cried her first cry in the confines of a brightly-lit hospital room, a slightly premature baby being cradled by a joyful mother whose tears matched her infant daughter. With the little bit of strength she had left. In the same room, men in black suits guarded the door while a preoccupied father offered a slight smile to his wife and quick pet to his newly-born child before putting a phone to his ear and walking out, followed by a few of those suited men.
Her family was considerably wealthy, a result of her father's status as a very successful, mostly self-made businessman. Her father married Izumi's mother in an arranged marriage, set up by their respective parents for purely business related reasons. Eventually inheriting the company when his own father stepped down from CEO, he aggressively revolutionized the management company by focusing on hero-related business opportunities, being one of the first to figure how to commercialize off heroes during the Advent of the Extraordinary. From merchandise to brand deals to having heroes cameo and even star in their shows about them, they did all and with it came wealth and growth for them. For Izumi, this meant being raised in a luxury lifestyle that most could only dream of having, growing up in an astounding house with maids and butlers pampering her every need.
From the very start, Izumi was an energetic, hyperactive and rowdy child.. one with a fondness of heroes. She also loved to play and run and jump, much to the annoyance of her father, a strict man who expected her to act proper and be raised as such. Her father was very much a traditionalist and her status as his eldest child, his hope was that through nurturing Izumi, she would blossom into a woman capable of following in his footsteps. Because of this, whilst often absent due to business, when he was present, he made an effort to drill into her the rules and expectations he had for her. Along with that, he would hire tutors to privately teach her as early as two years old, hoping to accelerate her development and give her the tools to succeed. Noticing how much her questions about his work were about heroes, he told his daughter off. "You should be playing with dolls Izumi, not looking into this stupid hero stuff. It's not safe for a lady like you. It's not like you have any powers anyway, sweetie."

She yearned for the best for her daughter and even if she wasn't in a position to chase her own dreams, she wanted Izumi to be able to do so and she encouraged her interests. "Don't let anyone tell you what you can't be Izumi. You're my little girl which means you can do anything you want in this world." Whilst it seemed as if Izumi's life would be all work, her mother stepped in where she could. . Despite having tutoring lessons every week, Izumi's mother wanted her to spend time as a normal kid. So after much arguing, she convinced Izumi's father to allow Izumi to spend weekends with her aunt and her cousin, who lived in a beautiful countryside in a village one might find stereotypical of rural areas. She could experience a home away from the large confines of the mansion and even play with her cousin, a girl only a few years older than Izumi, and other kids her age. It was the perfect place for her to let her energy out and grow up outside her status. However, the unexpected happened on one of these many visits..
One day, Izumi, her cousin and a few other neighborhood kids were playing hide-and-seek in the forest that surrounded the almost entirely land-locked village. Competitive as she was and confident in her hiding abilities, Izumi sped off deep into the forest. However, the seven-year-old quickly found herself lost and unable to find her way back. Running and yelling at the top of the lungs, her desperation led her to take shelter in a cave. Unfortunately, laid dormant inside was a ferocious brown bear who wasn't too keen on having its peace disturbed. It viciously attacked her, taking a swipe at her face before giving chase to her. Izumi ran for her life until eventually she could run no longer and collapsed by a stream, covered in blood from wounds that would be fatal if not treated. The bear stood on its hind legs and pounced at her to deliver the finishing blow. However, in her delirious state, Izumi at the same time threw her hand forward towards it in a desperate attempt to protect herself. SHNNK. The bear dropped with a thud next to her, a clean hole in the middle of its head. Her quirk had manifested and she subconsciously used her own blood as weapon that pierced her attacker. Izumi passed out from blood loss, unaware of what she had just done.
Fortunately for her, it wasn't too long until her aunt and a search squad assembled for her found her and brought her to medical attention. Everyone was relieved, well.. not everyone. Her father was furious for a multitude of reasons. Angry at her aunt for allowing to this happen, her mother for convincing him such a place was safe for his little girl and frustrated that his daughter had manifested a quirk, a second time in her family. He forbid her to use her quirk and she was not to visit the countryside ever again, although through her mother's unrelenting efforts, this restriction would only last a year.
Despite this, Izumi found her newfound ability very, very awesome! Since she was young, she had always marveled over the idea of being a hero but it seemed like a dream she could not attain.. but now she could be like the heroes her daddy managed, the ones like on TV! he did not Initially practicing it in practice with a knife she hid from the kitchen, her mother discovered her secret and asked the mansion staff to keep quiet... however as absent from his daughter's life as he was, he eventually clued in, firing the staff that kept it secret and hiring new ones that would keep Izumi in check.

As it turned out, Izumi's uncle, her father's brother, actually had a quirk just like her with dreams of heroics as well. Her uncle being the eldest was set to inherit the business. Like Izumi's father had done to her, her uncle was forbidden by his father from using his quirk and pursuing heroics. Angry, he would sneak out with with a hoodie and a mask at night and run around town, illegally began saving innocent nightgoers from crime with his quirk. The Hemoglobin as local news called him became the talk of the town, people wondering who this mysterious vigilante was. Reckless and confident in his abilities, he started fighting in daylight to even more fame until tragedy struck.. when during battle, he accidentally killed a group of bystanders who had been standing behind his target. In horror, he fled the scene. His father paid off the families and news station before disowning him and swearing that he was never welcome back to the family and after that, her uncle seemingly disappeared without a trace.
Izumi frowned. If Grandpa had just let him try to be a hero, he wouldn't have snuck out and did it... her uncle could have probably gone to school and learned to control his own powers. She wouldn't make the same mistakes and she most certainly wouldn't take no for an answer. And with that, she planned to finally approach her father.. which is why she was surprised when he came knocking on her bedroom door.
"Your mother and I had a talk Izumi. This hero stuf-"
Cutting him off, Izumi spoke up. "I want to be a hero Daddy! And that's that, I don't care if you say no, this is my calling, I just know it."
"Izumi. Listen to me."
"You can put me in a hero school! The big one! I've looked into it, I have the grades, I know I can pass the entrance exam and I can work to pay for it please!!"
"Izumi. Liste-"
"I know about uncle and I won't be like him." She swore, gritting her teeth awaiting an angry response.. but it never came. Instead, he simply stared at her, sadness in his eyes that she had never had seen before. Pointing at the bed, he softly said "Sit with me sweetie.. please." Shocked by her dad's shift in tone, she obliged.
"I always wanted to tell you but.. I never wanted you to go after this hero stuff and I hoped you would never got that power of yours.." He held her against him, petting her hair so she wouldn't see his face. "He came to me that night you know? He begged me to help him somehow, but I was angry at him too, I just didn't understand why he cared so much about being a hero and why he would put everything at risk... I called him a disgrace to the family and told him to get lost.. that he was no brother of mine. I never saw him again after that. Izumi.. I love you sweetie. I do all of this for you and your mother.. I just want the best for you and a life like mine.. even if it meant you hating me." He caressed her face. "But I see him in you every day.. The same stars in your eyes, the same stubbornness, you're the spitting image of him and I can't call myself your dad if I snuff out your spark like him. Go out there and be as cool as he was." Tears fell from Izumi as she embraced her father. "Thank you Daddy." She said sniffling. "My little crybaby." He smiled with tears, hugging her back. "Just remember.. Be stubborn. For the right reasons."
Flash-forward two years later. Izumi stands in front of U.A. University, a determined smile on her face and sparks in her eyes. "I'm here." She exclaimed, taking the very first steps.. of her hero academia.

QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Blood Manipulation is an Emitter-type quirk that bestows upon its user the ability to control and shape her blood beyond its ordinary state to achieve a great deal of effects. Not only that, it can be used to manipulate every aspect of the user's blood, including but not limited to blood composition, plasma, pressure and red blood cells count. Blood both inside and outside the body can be utilized so long as it belongs to the quirk's user.
Blood itself can be manipulation in a variety of different ways with this quirk. External blood, blood that has left the body, can be hardened, and also shaped to either create constructs, say a knife composed of blood, or to create projectiles that can be fired at a target.
The user is also acutely aware of her blood's location and her cardiovascular system. Any foreign substances entering the bloodstream can be prevented from spreading and subsequently expelled from her body.
As well as that, the user is capable of controlling her own pulse rate and body temperature through manipulation of the blood within them. This can be used to improve the performance of the user by increasing pulse rate and pumping blood faster throughout the body, allowing the user to take in more oxygen and increasing the number of red blood cells, acting similarly to an adrenaline rush where she sees herself more stronger, faster and more alert. This also grants a slight resistance to the cold as this raises the user's body temperature. [Narrative]
Conversely, the user can slow her pulse rate lowering the user's body temperature as result or even completely stop it for a brief period of time if she wills it. However, this is a very dangerous technique and could result in unconsciousness or even death if done incorrectly. [Narrative]
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: First and foremost, Izumi is limited by the amount of the own blood she have access to be it within or through external storage. Not to mention, Izumi's power has an additional quirk of making her blood less prone to clotting. While this allows for easier manipulation of blood from in her to outside her body, it also means cuts and open wounds are more severe if left unattended to. Large amounts of blood loss can result in Izumi becoming anemic, making her exhausted and weak.
Overuse of her quirk's ability, including increase of blood rate can be taxing as well. It essentially acts as a pseudo-adrenaline rush and because of the increased body temperature, extended use of this can induce a fever in Izumi, making her dizzy and light-headed. Her vision may also be affected as her eyesight can blur and her field of view shrinking, lowering her visual acuity and giving her tunnel vision.
Replacing the blood loss from quirk usage is very draining. While her quirk naturally restores her blood count more than others Izumi eats a large amount of food, an action that helps stimulate blood growth within her and replenishes her nutrient count. Along with that, she find herself tired after quirk usage and subsequently napping often, her body's way of conserving her energy for blood growth and recovering her stamina. Finally, her quirk's properties of reducing clotting and even stopping coagulation for external blood adds a counter to her ability. Being in a wet environment can prove troublesome, as exposure to water will cause the membrane of red blood cells to tear, rendering any blood touched by the water unable to hold shape. (Counter)

Along with that, she find herself tired after quirk usage and subsequently napping often, her body's way of conserving her energy for blood growth and recovering her stamina. Finally, her quirk's properties of reducing clotting and even stopping coagulation for external blood adds a counter to her ability.
