It was a dangerous move on the youth's part, since he was well aware of what the man could do to him if he wished. But like a simpleton that knew no fear, Shion's touch was full of trust that the worst would not come to pass. "If I approach you in the future without a seed- that's not me. You'll know what to do then." The stark implications covered his words like frost on tender moss. Cold to the touch, piercing the skin like an invisible piece of glass. "You'll probably recognize my sister at that point as well. . . but, Goodbye." Comment te dire adieu. As he turned around and let go, walking away, Shion wished he knew a better way to say farewell. Not as one would say to a friend, or even an enemy. What was needed was a "goodbye" just for people who you felt the strongest ambivalence towards. Judging by the looks of it, the orange sun looked like it was about to bid farewell to them both. But the sky would stay, just as it always has. Ghouligan

Shion’s final words lingered in his head. There were more implications than he would have liked — implications of a next time. Atop that, he mentioned his sister. Whoever they were, why would he recognize them? Somehow, he had left with more questions than answers. If their paths were to cross again, then he’d get his answers about that damn broom.

Until then, he’d walk into the Sunset as it collapsed into a warm dark. Shadows littered the floors and walls of the alleys, keeping Antoine company. With Antoine on the prowl, criminals also found themselves at home within the shadows.

A pool ball finds itself lodged in the wall.

“You have one minute to run,” Antoine said.

The criminals complied. A dozen of them stormed out of the alley. Antoine twirled his pool stick and aimed.
