He's a man of habit. If you were to look in his closet, back when he had one, you'd think him a cartoon character. If he found something he liked, he stuck to it. Still, navigating fashion is impossible. Everyone made fun of him when he wore his polka dot suit and striped tie to his first day of work at a grocery store.

As much as he's tried to fit in — despite desperately wanting to standout as a hero — he is known for the eccentricities of his hair. He is a redhead in the most literal sense. He swears people make fun of it...

Oliver always had a green thumb, even before his quirk. As a young, lonely child, he spent most of his time in his grandfather's garden. Then, on one eventful evening, he found a mushroom! A funky, talking mushroom who called themselves ‘The Captain.’ The Captain was from the future. He traveled back in time to deliver news to the one and only Oliver Hall.

The world was ending.

Doomsday, The Apocalypse, whatever you want to call it — it happened. And unless Oliver did everything in his power to save the world, it was going to happen again. Taking up the mantle of hero, he started his training. He grabbed the Katana that his grandfather kept in his library.

A weapon wasn’t enough. Training wasn’t enough. The butterfly effect is overblown. You can make massive changes to the past and not change a damn thing about the future. You can change who marries who, whether or not someone lives or dies in ten years, but if you’re going to stop the end of the world, you have to think on a cosmic scale.

The first step was killing his classmates.

They were all part of a psyop, a plan to brainwash Oliver into mundanity. They had already worn his mind, body, and soul. Until The Captain, he truly believed he wasn’t a hero.

It didn’t take long to prove him wrong. One by one his classmates fell. And with tears in his eyes, Oliver begged their corpses for forgiveness.

They didn’t respond.

He was only consoled by the voice of a mushroom lingering on his shoulder. The one who warned him of the future and the steps it took to change it.
