He's... prone to accidentally overshooting from ‘cool and collected’ into ‘stiff and robotic’. Especially during workplace hours, during interactions with coworkers. Kousa, you see, generally does his best work when he doesn’t have to worry about feelings — neither his own nor others’. (Unfortunately for him, he also has so many feelings. All the time. Good god.)

(There is a keenness and a desperate hunger hidden within those eyes. It’s tucked behind a prodigiously crafted and carefully maintained veneer of capability and professional put-togetherness, but it’s there; a grasping, clawing hunger to prove oneself. To rise. Straight-backed, stern-looking, and steely-eyed, Kousa is a young man who gives off a very no-nonsense demeanor. … That is, until you get him to show you any genuine emotion whatsoever.

He’s as fit as you’d expect of a 24 year old who goes to the gym every single day to work through near-constant stress and anxiety but isn’t religiously committed to the venture. While he maintains control of his extraordinarily healthy and balanced diet with both conviction and an iron will, he's no body-builder or health nut. He has more of a typical runner's build than anything else, slim but strong and built for speed and agility.

Kousa is of average height, with silver eyes that would be piercing if he could get himself to look people directly in the eye more often, and pale gray hair that shines the same color as his eyes in the sunlight (and often gets him mistaken for being far older than he actually is whenever someone approaches him from behind).

His name is Rōzeki Kousa. He is a police detective. He is 24 years old.

He grew up on the outskirts of Tokyo. He was born in the mountains of Hokkaido. His father was a native Japanese man and mutant with a wolf-like appearance and an aspiring politician advocating for mutant rights. His mother was a half-Belarusian nurse and a mutant with fish-like shimmering scales, gills, and fins. He was the only one in his family to fail to manifest any inherited mutant traits whatsoever. He had five younger siblings. All of them passed away when he was twelve years old, along with his mother and father.

In the eye of a hurricane, there is quiet. Kousa was born with hollow bones and, as he found out four years later, the ability to freely manipulate the air around him. So much so that he can propel, lift, and even carry himself on it if the wind at his back and beneath his feet is strong enough. Given that he's extremely (unnaturally) light thanks to his mutation, it doesn't take much.

Kousa has poured everything he possibly could into shaping his mind into an extraordinary mechanism for police/detective work. His skills in pattern analysis, deduction, perception, and etcetera, are considerable assets to his field, and some even called him a prodigy when he was younger.
