Connie was taught that hard work was what mattered above all and she has taken that statement to heart. She's outwardly cheerful, caring, confident, and exhudes a positive vibe. She believes that heroes are needed in the world so that everyone can be safe and have hope for the future, to drive back fear that villains have created. Although saving everyone she can is her goal and to bring about a lasting peace, it always hurts her deeply when she fails to save someone. She isn’t the most intelligent hero on the battlefield and in the rescue front but her fast reflexes allow her plenty of time to process information at a rapid pace, even able to “brute force” her way through puzzles. Her biggest flaw is her impatience, sometimes she struggles to wait to save someone in a difficult situation.

HISTORY



Connie Rozwell was born and raised in a rural town in the Bootheel Region of Missouri. Her family was relatively poor and when her quirk developed, it wasn’t like either of her parents who had more conventional quirks that they used to tend the farm they owned. However Connie strived for something bigger, something exciting in her life, and she thought that being a hero would bring the kind of excitement that she had been wanting in her life. So she went about her life and worked hard to make herself stronger, train her quirk, and keep up with school. Eventually her hard work paid off and she got herself a recommendation to UA, the best school that cultivated promising heroes such as herself. So after saying her goodbyes, she left America and went to Japan to start her tuition in UA.



Connie didn’t have an easy time fitting into Japan, the language was still new to her and sometimes she forgot important parts of the language but thanks to the supplementary foreign courses in UA she began to close the gaps in her understanding of the Japanese language. She was truly amazed by how different Japan was from America, both its laws and its culture. She even grew to admire its local heroes, including All Might and his speed was something that she always hoped to surpass with her own quirk as well as the other speed based heroes like the Iida family. Once she graduated from UA though, she joined an agency to truly start her hero career as Silver Rush.



The debut of Silver Rush was fast and flashy, taking the world by storm early on during her internship for The Golden Agency as a freshman in UA in class 1-B. She continued to grow as a hero and her confidence skyrocketed, she even resorted to trash talking her villainous opposition whenever she had the chance. However her confidence would crash and burn during her 3rd year in UA, having decided to work for The Golden Agency for the work study program for the duration of her tutelage and she grew as a hero working under the agency until one day a harrowing incident occurred. She had fallen for one of the heroes within the agency and pursued his affection, he ended up accepting her, making her happy and feeling as if nothing could drag her down.



Her confidence was cut short when a dangerous hostage situation occurred and she along with her then boyfriend was in the area to apprehend the suspects as well as save the hostages, they formed a plan for her to save the hostages while he went to stop the villains from getting their hands on whatever they were wanting in the facility. Silver Rush wasted no time and sprinted right into the facility, using her quirk to save multiple hostages at a time, but when she returned back into the facility the villains had already killed the man she loved. Silver Rush in a fury used her quirk excessively to beat the villains into submission but no matter how much she hurt them, she could feel that this wouldn’t be what he wanted and stopped before she could go too far and tied them up to leave them for the police.



After the incident Connie wasn’t the same for a while, she tried to hide her emotional pain from her classmates but it was no use. She ended up confessing her pain to her friends and they supported her, at first she was shocked but she remembered that real friends help their friends even during hard times. She learned that day that she couldn’t save everyone but she could sure try to save as many as possible and from then on she trained her quirk, to be faster and faster so she could never be too late again. She graduated UA and now continues to work under The Golden Agency, mostly out of convenience and she felt most comfortable working for the agency she had always worked under before even if others had always urged her to forge her own agency.



In the present day Silver Rush continues to strive to be a symbol of speed and heroism in Japan, having mellowed out over the years and curbing her confidence considerably. She doesn’t visciously mock criminals anymore and sometimes merely banters with them or tries to reason with them her own way. She sometimes still misses her old flame but she uses that to keep her going, to make sure no one else can feel the pain she felt. She even occasionally takes holidays or trips to America to visit her family in Missouri, to catch up with them and tell them about what she’s been up to in Japan. Silver Rush strives to continue to get faster and shine bright as a hero, to secure the peaceful future that she dreams of.

QUIRK DESCRIPTION: When activated, Rapid Pace accelerates greatly the rate in which her body transfers oxygen and nutrients to her muscles. The speed in which her muscles contract also greatly increases, as a result the speed in nerve conduction also increases. While all of that occurs, this causes the synapses in her brain to fire at a rapid pace and allow her to process the world at a faster rate than what is normally humanly possible. With all of these effects building at once when her quirk activates, this gives her the super speed effect that her quirk utilizes. Her maximum speed is currently 2,000 mph.

QUIRK DRAWBACKS: The longer she uses her quirk, the more energy from her body she is using. So the more she uses her quirk, the more calories she consumes. Overuse can cause extreme exhaustion, starvation, and dehydration.
