If I were anyone else I'd define myself by my affliction and what little time I have left. It's not the best thing ever to only have three years to live because of my quirk, but a higher calling's a higher calling. I don't need, like, evidence or anything I just know that there's a plan for me after this. There's a plan for all of us, but me specifically. There's a reason I'm the way that I am.

It's not just about dying. Actually, it's not about the dying at all. It's about the living. I see so many people who will walk the world for years double my life span... but not have lived a minute more than me. But I don't have the answers for them. I have the answers for me. And I know part of that answer is making sure that they're safe enough to live that life of theirs for as long as they can. And maybe, just maybe, they'll be able to figure out where they belong in this grand ol' universe of ours, too.

So, I wasn't born in a conventional sense.

You ever heard of Athena? Same thing happened to ma and I out in a boat far out in the ocean — international waters of whatever. Except I was a melody from a sea shanty she happened to whistle into existence as living, breathing baby. Imagine turning into a single parent before you're ready because you have a weird ass quirk. No child support either because you'd just be takin' money from yourself. This is why I never whistle without protection. I'm not ready to have kids yet... but a lil baby me would def help with the ladies, actually.

Anyway, enough about the present, let's back to the past. Why am I a vigilante? Why am I in Japan? Y'see, my mom passed when she was 30. Disappeared into a bunch of musical notes. Strange, right? Thing is... her mom passed when quirks started poppin' up and she inherited hers. She was older than 30... immediately gone.

So, I put the pieces together.

You think I'm wasting my short-lived life goin' to school? Working a job? I mean, I'll do enough to get by but I've been blessed great genetics. I'm handsome, powerful, talented... sooooooo...

I travel the world. Helping people. And Japan just happens to be my next stop. My girlfriend helped teach me some Japanese over the last year, paid for a cruise (it was a wonderful vacay btw) and then I settled down in her apartment after having watched those weirdo crabs monsters crack her open like we do lobsters. It's sad, but I don't have time to mourn.

I'm dying, too.

One Man Band is a mutation quirk with the ability to manipulate sound through a system of nylon strings running in tandem with the nervous system.

» Hymn can shape and reposition sound waves to create effects such as a distorted, pitched up, or thrown voice as well as echoes and mimicry.

» He can control volume, letting him increase it to create sonic blasts or decrease it to silence his movement.

» Literal ear drums inside his ear give him enhanced hearing, as a vibrations travel through them and the nylon strings within his body (awareness flavor).

» The more complex the feat, the more complex his movements. Ranges from moving limbs, to fingers, taking steps forward... maybe, a spin.
