Lucille is an optimist through and through. She is the type of person to see a glass half full, drink the water and immediately fight to get more. She loves nothing more than to inspire people and watch them grow, making her teaching job a perfect fit for her as a people pleaser. As a side effect of her quirk she has a few crow-like traits, like loving shiny things and a fondness of puzzles. As a hero she is determined and focused, often able to keep her cool in emergency situations and applying her quirk to its fullest ability to save as many lives as possible. Ultimately, Lucille is someone who wants to befriend as many people as she can, hellbent on living her life to the fullest since she has already died once.

As far back as I can remember I started all on my own. Just a lost orphan wandering the streets, invisible to the world... No one cared who I was, if I lived or if I died. Not until I met Diego. He was around my age and we used to play together. Since we grew up in a dangerous neighborhood, we became good at scouting out all the locations that were safe from shady adults. I had fun playing with him. He made me like my quirk too, the one I had hated ever since it first manifested. Thanks to Diego I gained the will to live.
At the age of 7 I was adopted by Mrs. Arbogast. She was from a disgraced first generation hero family, apparently her name brought bad luck, or so they said. To me it didn't. When I became her daughter Lucille Arbogast my life changed for the better. I finally had a home, family, my friend Diego was still allowed to visit me and I enrolled in school like the other kids my age.
At the age of 8 the full extent of my quirk was discovered. The doctors said half of it was locked behind something called a ''Death Trigger'', that I would only gain access to my quirk's full potential after dying once. When I found out I became scared of taking risks. Scared that I might die from the smallest breeze knocking me over. It's funny, isn't it? I had the exact opposite reaction of what you might expect. Only Diego was able to pull me out of that dark pit I had fallen into.
I never really intended on going into heroism. Well, not at first anyway. I think I was an impressionable young girl and I was surrounded by people that supported me. My adoptive mother was a pro hero too, so she taught me everything she knew, taught me to use my spit to save people, to outmaneuver opponents. Thanks to her I passed my entrance exam and soon enrolled into hero school.
Everything was going fine until my third year as a student. Despite my best efforts to avoid it...
I died.
I still remember the scenery before me. The eeriness of the vast, black void around me, the sound of bones cracking as I walked a path made of skulls to get up to it. It gifted me with the second half of my quirk. My quirk was always meant to be a dual type power, but it didn't fully unlock until I died. Then it woke me up again. Ever since that day when I was 20, I haven't been able to taste foods or drinks. I can differentiate textures, but they all taste the same to me. Only the blood that I needed to drink to sustain my quirk kept its irony taste. However, those drawbacks were nothing compared to how much I hurt the people around me. I had failed, I had died.
It's my fault that Diego strayed from the path of heroism. He never said it, but I could tell something had changed after I came back.
I never got to confess to him either. I wish I hadn't been such a coward back then.
With my full power unlocked I was able to grow wings, and I trained like never before, graduating and eventually becoming the hero Phantasmagoria. I stayed in the place where I grew up for a little while before I found my true calling. My half brother Lucas Arbogast, a professional hero from Japan had been chasing a lead on a villain group that calls themselves Avarice. Lucas took down most of their members, but asked that I help track them down in his stead while recovers from the injuries he has sustained. I accepted it in a heartbeat and also applied for a teaching position at UAU. I didn't just want to help people, I wanted to pay the kindness my teachers had shown me forward to the next generation.
When I arrived in Japan, Mar, also known as the pro hero Tiburón showed me around and made me feel welcome. We're good friends today and she even joined me as a teacher at UAU eventually! Here in Japan I've met so many amazing people, but I haven't been able to escape from my past.
Diego became a villain, for whatever reason, a villain in Japan. It breaks my heart, but I know I must capture him and bring him to justice.

QUIRK NAME: Born This Way
QUIRK RANK: A-
QUIRK TYPE: Emitter/Transformation
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Born This Way is a dual quirk that allows the user to emit sludge spit and transform into a harpy. Due to a special mutation organ in her body she can emit a black sludge with her spit that when spat out has two properties. One side can stick to surfaces like gum, while the other is bouncy like a trampoline. The transformation side of her quirk lets her transform her limbs into talons, wings or both to resemble a harpy. With her black wings she can take to the skies and fly around freely.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: Due to the nature of her quirk, quirk overuse can lead Lucille to becoming anemic and needing to drink blood to recover. She will also shrink to the size of 2'9 foot tall and have all her attributes drop to that of a defenseless child while in this small form. Any type of abnormal weather or strong winds can mess with the flight of her quirk, and her black sludge is weak to several elements such as water, fire and electricity. Due to the crow likeness of her harpy form, Lucille's personality has taken on a few crow-like traits.
