Given Marie's line of work, it was only expected she'd be put in alarming situations. Whether it be a medical emergency or a literal emergency, there was a certain calmness one might expect to see. Yet even still, her current plans would put all of them to shame. Granted, a more normal person would probably not think much of it, but Marie wasn't exactly normal. She was planning to go Black Friday shopping, and she was going with one of her particularly chatty co-workers. Needless to say, she was absolutely terrified. [break][break]

Despite every reservation in her mind, it was simply illogical not to go. Accounting for possible stock issues and shopping failures, it was still much more efficient per capita than any other day of the year. While her dual career gave her a pretty comfortable paycheck, Marie was nothing if not excessive. Any sort of minor optimization was worth pursuing, even if it involved the social dangers of a large crowd. Though, travelling with a companion did add an extra variable that made it difficult to chart effectively. [break]

While she and Stellar had a somewhat similar fashion sense, it was difficult to predict just what the blonde woman would even want. Obviously she could just talk with Stellar to plan, but Marie didn't exactly think like that. Instead, she would recount every piece of random information she learned about Stellar's life to try and form a general estimate. Regardless of how she formulated it, Marie had an intended route and itinerary for the evening. She even printed it onto a pair of color-coded handouts so both her and Stellar could navigate effectively. [break]

Of course, it wasn't even Black Friday yet. It was actually 11pm on the night before. Yet despite that, Marie was already out and about, making her way towards the intended meeting place. Though a deep paranoia was building deep within her. What if Stellar was late? What if she was so late that she threw off the entire schedule? She didn't have enough data to predict Stellar's average punctuality, so she was effectively flying blind. With little recourse, she had to call her. Assuming Stellar intended to be on time, she would likely already be awake. [break]

[attr="class","kiminoright"] For Stellar Black Friday might as well have been Christmas! It combined all of her favorite things fashion, shopping, socializing, and a whole lotta people! The only thing that could have made this day better would be live music at the mall they were going to. Usually this was something she'd invite Lucille or Ryota for but not this time as it was an opportunity to get Marie to open up finally! Their wonderful, super-smart medical officer was always holed up in her office and then heading home instead of happy hour. Luckily, she had someone in her corner who was very similar and could understand how to appeal to the logic-driven brain of a genius - Iphigenia! With a more rational rather than emotion-driven pitch about the number of sales/deals on Black Friday, she was finally able to break through her tough exterior, even if just for today. This was a big get for Stellar![break][break] Normally she would have suggested dinner first after work and then to hang out until it was time but Stellar had the day off on this particular day. She didn't plan on this; it was just her rotation on the holiday schedule so she took the day for herself. Starting with sleeping in until nearly noon and then heading out from her place around 12 pm with the hour or so it took to fix her hair meaning it was lunch time. A quick stop over at UAU's campus to meet with some of the teachers on their own lunch break put her in even higher spirits than before! A quick coffee break followed this since they were in for a long and fun night, with Stellar treating herself early fully intending to continue that all the way through the night. [break][break] After a quick dinner she would dive right into her side gig - teaching mindful yoga! It was something she started doing back in High School in the States, and with her expertise in using her quirk practing, it soon turned to teaching once she got to Japan. Between her own media page where she shared techniques that people could do at home. She did charge for the class but it was only 700 yen per class since she made most of the profit from her own media page through exposure. A late-night class was exactly what she needed to get energized, so when the time came; she would keep on her yoga pants and throw on a jacket and some fuzzy boots. A lot of walking means staying comfy! [break][break] She would tie her hair into a ponytail as she walked towards where they were meeting. Hopefully, Marie knew what Black Friday was all about and came prepared! Her phone buzzed with the familiar 'Marie Descartes' and a few emojis next to it, and she'd pick up "Hello, hello! I'm not too far- oh, I see you!" She'd hang up and wave, jogging up to Marie. "Oooh, this is going to be so much fun! Have you ever been Black Friday shopping? I have a few things I definitely need to get, but otherwise, we can just window shop!" Stellar was all about having new, thrilling experiences and in her eyes going in with a huge list and not exploring her whims was something she DEFINITELY wouldn't agree with.
