Nox drops his empty burlap sack with the yen symbol embroidered onto it as he points his fingers like a gun in the area. There’s someone else here.[break][break]

Levi sat perched on an adjacent building to the bank, watching all of his temporary partner's actions. Skylark's scope had formed from his wrist, the lens pointed over the edge of the building to Nox's location. Her simulated glass fed the image back to Levi, who sat comfortably eating a gas station chili dog and watched the scene play out from behind his eyepatch.[break][break]

Damn, he just waltzed right in... AND took his mask off? God, Japanese FINCHs are so cool![break][break]

It had been a while since Levi had worked as a FINCH. The 'Freelancer's International Network for Contracted Hitmen' had stiffed him on his pay a few years back, almost like he had only half completed the job! Well, the half-completion was only a quarter of the reason, there was also a 37% chance that an eighth of it MIGHT HAVE been his fault... Technically speaking. Still, it was a good resource to have in one's back pocket for when boring days like today needed to be less boring. Plus, despite their name, they were good for making connections with more than just HItmen. Connections with people like Taxi Drivers.[break][break]

*"I hear you Anhinga."* His mouth remained wrapped around his chili dog as his voice passed flawlessly through his commlink. More purple-hued liquid seeped through Levi's jacket as Skylark lazily took form in his right hand, the sniper absentmindedly watching Nox back away from the teller line.[break][break]

Sirens. 2 minutes, 26 seconds. Faster in this part of town. Typical bank jobs asked Levi to go in first, to scrub the cameras and silence the alarms. But this wasn't a typical bank job. The faint aura of electricity-dripping wires filled Levi's gaze as he quickly studied the bank's electrical layout.[break][break]

*"Alright, you've got five major exit points, minus the front doors. Downstairs and behind the teller line are emergency exits: Good for a quick exit, but neither flashy nor incredibly clean."* He adjusted Skylark slightly, moving his vision along the edge of the building. *"Two more egress windows along the south wall. Clean, but loud. I'd wager it'll buy you an extra minute."* His gaze shifted toward the roof.[break][break]

*"Final option? Big flashy. You make it to the roof, they think you're trapped, and we have some fun."*[break][break]

Another bite of the chili dog. Not half bad.[break][break]

Nox peers over the ledge as he watches cops storm the bank. Nox grimaces, hoping that CTRL’s plan is as big, flashy, and fun as he promised. [break][break]

It all started when I lost a bet to some wannabe mob boss. I didn’t bet money I bet my services. And I lost the bet. So… he’s using my services to get him more money than I would have bet in the first place. Not gonna lie, pretty impressed.

The sounds of footsteps charging up the stairs grab Nox’s attention. They’re getting close. He looks out in CTRL’s general direction. [break][break]

Did that fucker reposition? He did. [break][break]

NOX (CONT'D… again)[break]
Anyway, I call in an old coworker. Didn’t even need the money just wanted the thrill after working with ‘a disappointment of a person called FALCON ONE.’ Yeah, lost me on that if I’m being honest. Needless to say… [break][break]

I let them handcuff me, take me to their car, and then I portal'd back into the bank via the car door. Ran up the stairs — harder to when cuffed, believe it or not — and am now waiting for my escape plan.

He just walked out the door AND got himself arrested?? Levi couldn't contain his excitement as a smudge of chili dog ran down his face. This guy made Falcon One look like Falcon Twelve! Rest in peace Falcon Twelve.[break][break]

Just like that, he was gone from the back of the police car as Levi scrambled to relocate his position. South stairwell, gotcha. If he's moving to the roof, I better get in position.[break][break]

Levi crammed the remainder of the chili dog into his mouth, wrapping his way across the adjacent rooftop for a better angle. He couldn't let his position be given away, but he'd be in direct line of sight if he stayed where he was. He took cover behind a chimney pouring grey steam into the sky. Skylark began forming in his hands, fully this time, as a small stream led herself down to the freely available steel at Levi's feet. Miniature nanobots began disassembling, chewing away at the metal as grey liquid flowed back upstream into the rifle's chamber.[break][break]

Did Nox get them into... yup, there he is. Looks kinda funny with his arms raised like that... Oh shit, Americans, that's my cue.[break][break]

Levi focused his scope, moving from Nox's hands to the first cop immediately beyond his shoulder. The radio clipped to his belt would provide the first portion of tonight's entertainment. Levi's voice flickered through the comms, using Nox's earpiece as a relay to hijack every radio on the rooftop.[break][break]

*"Hey boys. Do ya like jazz?"* On cue, every radio began blasting music at its maximum volume, some overloading their speakers. The few cops unfortunate enough to be wearing earpieces quickly lost composure, attempting to tear them out at the sheer noise. Few others not completely affected turned, offering Levi the distraction needed to focus back on Nox's handcuffs.[break][break]

"Just need the angle and..." *BANG*[break][break]

Skylark let loose a bullet that collided perfectly with the handcuff chain, freeing Nox's hands up to get in on the fun.[break][break]
