Ismini Demetria is the oldest of 6 siblings and the first to set down the path of a hero. Her early years were nothing special, with a typical family and everyday life in Athens, Greece. From a relatively young age, she learned how to cook and found a love for it, mainly when it came to sweets. This fixation manifested as a dream to open a bakery when she was old.
Like most young adults, her sensibilities changed as she got older. While she still loved cooking and baking, she eventually found that her skills in tailoring were nothing to scoff at, which became her discipline at UAU. Attending UAU was both the best and worst decision of her life. She joined the support course and met her now-deceased husband, Hikari Ando, the black sheep of the Ando family. Initially, she had no interest in him, but over the years, she slowly fell in love, and the moment they graduated, they married.
With the future looking bright, it was exactly five years later when, during a confrontation with a much stronger villain, her dear husband used the last of his strength to send her away, forfeiting his life in the process.
In the aftermath, Ismini retired, returning home as she felt her mind swallowed by a pitch-black darkness. She didn't want to have any more lives forfeited over her weakness. To move forward, she dove deep into history, and to make sure she could protect those around her, she took inspiration from her hero namesake, Athena, and the Hoplites of old, who were inspired by Athena that resulted in them learning to use a spear and shield in tandem.
After spending years in Athens honing her culinary, tailoring, and combat skills, it was around her 30th birthday that she received a message from a former colleague with an offer to join UAU as a Support Course teacher as the previous one for the position had retired. Ismini contemplated this before ultimately accepting the role, if she could help prevent other support students from the fate she suffered then it was worth coming out of retirement.
