Calliope

Calliope always found herself in weird locations and positions. To her, the world was somewhere to explore, and a good way to explore things was to see them for yourself. Because of that, she often went to random locations that others wouldn't always think to go. Behind the school, on the roof, in a place under construction... Today however, she was in a tree on the campus grounds. It wasn't a super high tree, but high enough that her presence was mostly ignored. People would actively have to look up if they wanted to notice her, and most people didn't do that.

In the tree, she was reading a book and eating some seaweed flavored chips. The book was Greek, depicting a retelling of some of the stories of the Greek Gods. Due to the fact that she was now mostly surrounded by Japanese, she liked to try to keep her Greek up through the usage of books and other media like that. Hopefully, she wouldn't be disturbing anyone, but she would be more than welcome to start a disturbance for someone else if needed. The one plus about going to UAU is that there were so many interesting people to fuck with.

While he was slowly getting used to campus life, Yasu still longed to go out into nature and capturing some photos of the world around him. He had told himself he would work up the courage to take a trip out into the forest the next time he got a day off, but for the time being going around campus would have to do. Thankfully, UAU campus wasn't without its own nature. Trees, flowers, grass, there was plenty to observe, especially if you took your time to really take it all in.

Squatting down next to a flower, he pointed the lens of the camera he had strapped around his neck at the little plant and took a moment to center it before snapping a picture. However, it wasn't until he sat there reviewing the photo that he noticed something in the background. Something that didn't look like just more leaves in the trees... Zooming in he realized it was a person. He looked up to find which tree it was before approaching it. ''Um...'' He spoke up when he got close enough for them to hear him. ''Are you okay? Sitting up in a tree can be quite dangerous, if you fall down you could get hurt.'' It was really none of his business, but he was going to overthink and stay up all night regretting not offering to help if he hadn't gone up to her. ''You're not stuck are you? If you want me to I can go get a teacher.''

Oh, someone was taking a picture. That was fun, and a hobby that felt like it would be very rewarding. Still, she wouldn't pay any mind to it until she was interrupted. Looking down to the person, she'd blink at how pretty they were. "That's the point." Calliope would say coyly, sticking out her tongue. "Just kidding, I know that, but it's okay, I'm careful." She had fallen out of a few trees, but she'd be okay.

"No, you don't need a teacher. I'm fine, really." Looking down to the man's camera, she'd point to it. "You know, you'd get some gnarly pictures from up here. The perspective difference is super nice. You should really try it out, if you're that into photography. Maybe you can get some cool bird pics or something." Calliope would put away what she was doing, before grabbing ontoa tree branch and using it to swing herself down to the ground. "See, all good! Now, to teach you how to get up."

What an odd place to choose to hang out... But there was always the chance that it was related to her quirk or something. He wasn't really sure how to react to her being coy and sticking her tongue out. ''..If you say so.'' He offered a nervous smile. He wanted to show concern, but he also wasn't really looking to get in her way or anything. Like what if she had climbed up there to get away from people and wanted some alone time? Then he would totally be disrupting her right now.

''Mm?'' He raised an eyebrow and glanced down at his camera before looking back up at her. ''Really? I don't usually climb up trees...'' He admitted, but he couldn't help but approach her hesitantly. Maybe it was out of some lingering concern for her, or maybe it was because he thought he might have a chance to make a friend, or perhaps a bit of both. ''Do you like photography?'' He took a couple of steps back as Calli jumped down and watched in awe at her technique. If he wasn't holding his camera at the time he would definitely have applauded such a smooth landing! ''That was scary, that looked like you've done it hundreds of times.'' He replied in awe. ''Eh, me?'' He pointed a finger at himself and eyed the tree. ''...But not that high up, right? I'm not an experienced climber.'' He looked over at Calliope before he realized something. ''Oh- I'm Yasu Okamoto. First year hero course student.'' He bowed his head politely.
