[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Gym, check. Training mats, check. Sparring partner...check. Like many new arrivals Jun wanted to test their mettle, and Calli was no exception. Unlike other cases, though, there were two issues. The first was Calli was a third year, which meant that unlike many other people she'd be a challenge for Jun. The second was, thinking back on their first interaction and what the girl had said, her quirk was nothing spectacular. It induced a strange state upon eye contact, unbalancing an opponent. Quirk vs quirk Jun had a massive advantage, and going all out would be unfair. Of course, there was no telling what exactly Calli was capable of, and if she got close and laid it on thick Jun would no doubt be in trouble. So instead, Jun asked her to come out to see how she was physically compared to her. This would be somewhat like Yoko who had limited ranged options, except Jun was intentionally handicapping herself. No quirks, just martial arts. Though in that department, Jun couldn't help but feel like she was at the disadvantage there. If paired with anything, her quirk would be perfect to unbalance an opponent with little effort and easily win. Still, Jun didn't know if she had anything like that at all; they may just end up slapping at each other the whole time, but that was fine. Calliope just wanted to beat into something, and right now that something was Junsuina. Most people were too scared to fight her because she was a third year. In reality, Calli's fighting abilities were nothing spectacular and were lackluster compared to what people expected her to be as a third year. That didn't matter, because she didn't care for the opinions of other people.

Cracking her knuckles, Calli was actually excited about it. Calliope had no idea what Jun's quirk was, or if she was good at fighting. Meeting at the place that she had been told about, she would be stretching and warming up her body before scanning around to try to find the red head. Waving to her as she was spotted, her grin was wide and happy. "Yoyo girlie, let's get beat up!"

Calli seemed like the type that preferred practical experience over bookwork; Jun could almost relate. "So let's not use quirks today. Or at least try not to. I think mine would be a little much for you," she says, shaking out and getting into a boxing stance. "Hand to hand only. So we keep things fair." Or as fair as possible. Right off the bat Jun would advance in once Calli was ready, keeping her hands up and swinging one or two time to test her defense. Jun was watching as many angles as possible: her hands her feet, how she kept her stance, her eyes- The moment she made eye contact she felt her body pitch forward, and Jun widened her stance to make up for it. What's going on? She shifted her gaze at Calli's mouth, regaining her lost balance while preparing to block; she couldn't exactly dodge in this moment. Calliope

"Hell yeah, I was literally trying not to fall asleep today. They make you sit down for so long, I don't know how you all do it." She knew she would get used to it, but right now it felt like torture to do. "Plus, you're my first friend so I'm glad you didn't ditch me or some shit." She wouldn't judge Junsuina if she did, but that'd hurt if she did!

"No quirks? Well good thing I have my sunglasses on then. Shouldn't cause you to get all nauseous." That didn't mean that them slipping down or Calliope taking them off mid fight was off the table, but for now it was her best way to stop it from happening. Cracking her knuckles, she could do some hand to hand for sure. "I'm not the best, but I'm okay with that. Hopefully you aren't going to go see that dude you were talking to me about afterwards. I don't think that he'd like you all bruised up."

Even with the sunglasses, the surprise punches in her direction had them loosen and slip down her nose. Making eye contact with Jun as she grazed her chin, Calliope smirked. Letting her hand go forward, she aimed to punch Jun in the face. "Gotta watch my eyes, beautiful." Now that she'd looked, Jun would probably start getting more and more nauseous until Calliope stopped looking at her.

"I'm not seeing him," she says, trying to force herself into the right mentality for this. She was in a fight, she had to focus. The second blow had a much greater impact, as Jun had to let her arms down to maintain balance and took a hard hit to the face. Staggering back, she wiped at her mouth and was grateful there was no blood; the taste was in her mouth, but probably because she bit the inside of her cheek. "Alright, game's on." She wasn't as disoriented, but Jun did feel sick to her stomach. Even with a step to get back into her stance the room spun despite the fact she had averted her gaze. Well, that's not good, she thinks, taking on a defensive stance and waited for Calli to make the next move. How much grappling did the girl know? Hopefully not much...maybe she could bait Calli into getting in close, and maybe Jun could use a counter technique on her. She took a half step forward, feigning a wide left haymaker in the hopes she'd try to close in to grab it. "So you're saying you haven't kissed him because you're a chicken?" She'd answer back. "Or do you not know how to kiss? Oh right, you don't!" Sticking her tongue out whenever she could, she wanted to poke fun at her both to get her off her A-game, but because it was fun. As she hit her blow, she would only smile, as she didn't think that it was good to boast about a good hit when the fight was still going. Being full of yourself make her deserve to get hit.

With Calli not expecting her to immediately go for another round, Calli was caught a bit off guard. She would get close to try to better block the punch, before getting elbowed in the chin. With a gasp, she would feel her head fly back, staggering her step. "Shit girl, ow." Rubbing on her chin, she would rotate her jaw around before looking over to her. "But that was good. If you can kiss as good as that, maybe you'll have a chance." Backing up a bit, she would wait for Jun to try to close the distance before she'd try to sweep her leg. If she didn't, she would enjoy the small break.

What was she saying, of course Gen's was worse, but this teasing about kissing, that was absolutely crazy. "How would you even know things like that? Did we kiss and I miss it?" Admittedly, the question was borne out of confusion of the topic and her inability to take brain power away to not fall over. The elbow was good, and if Jun was perfectly honest with herself it'd make more sense to maintain this position and follow up with another counter if she got the chance. Part of her wanted to get closer to capitalize on what she had just done, but even a partial step forward threw her equilibrium off course. She knew the walls weren't breathing, but with how everything spun it looked like they were breathing. "You think some dude like that wants someone that has fish lips?" Things like that really didn't matter, but it was more fun because Calli knew she cared.

"Hey, not my fault that you activated it!" She'd raise her hands in defense, her sunglasses properly on her face now. "I tried to warn you. If I tried not to use my quirk I'd have to fight with my eyes closed since you keep going for face hits!" She would sigh, before completely looking away, breaking her quirk on Jun. "There, it's gone- happy?" Calli shrugged, only to raise an eyebrow at her bad memory. "Called you beautiful. And that isn't a lie. I'm looking at you because we are fighting AND because you're beautiful, duh. If you were ugly I'd just make you look at me so I could get this fight over with and leave."

That was some good information Jun use in case she got stuck in the quirk again. But Jun was caught off guard by the compliment, and in her flustered state let her guard down. "Wha, uh, duh, the heck!? There's no way you mean that!" She looked down, swallowing. "Do you...?" Before Aiko, she would swear up and down that she wasn't pretty and would refute it at every turn. But Calli had not only done that, but gone above and called her 'beautiful'. That was something that Jun didn't know how to handle. But it was a good opportunity for Calli to knock her down. Calli smiled at how cute she was. "Yeah, beautiful." She'd not try to break the distance, but instead let her relish in that feeling for a bit. "You're beautiful. The red hair like a hot summer's night. The green eyes that pierce into me, drawing me in." She'd eye her up and down before striking.

In a swift movement, she'd try to sweep at one of Jun's legs, with the intention of having her fall on her ass. Instead of that though, she had another plan. If Jun did let her, she would trip her, only to grab her by the waist and dip her. With a smirk, she'd look down at her, happy. Her face was close, but her sunglasses were still mostly covering her eyes. "Checkmate, you need to learn to take a compliment if you want to win, darling."

Yaoyao of course heaped on all kinds of compliments, but Jun had managed a long time ago to filter them all out. Fighting about it with her was almost never worth it. Calli though had the effect of someone who didn't know Jun as well, and also knew her in a time when she was going through some confusing emotions. So it was no surprise when Calli managed to pull off her maneuver, only once Jun realized what was going on her body started to have its usual detrimental effects whenever people touched her. Ah right, touch. "Shit uh-" Calliope would immediately lower her to the ground, biting on her lip as she realized that her plan at totally backfired. "Shit uh... Sorry damn." She'd step back a bit, rubbing her hands on her clothes as if she'd gotten infected by Jun. She felt a bit sorry for her- if she couldn't even be romantically seduced like that, her love life was going to be so horrible.

Biting on her nail, she would just look over Jun and wait to see if she was okay. She'd pace a bit, realizing that she'd messed up more than she wanted to admit. "You really gotta work on that girl..."

Once left alone she'd slowly sit upt, pulling her knees in and controlling her breathing. The shaking would subside, and without moving her face from her legs she'd finally say: "How the heck am I supposed to feel about all that!?" She had a hard time admitting it, but her heart was racing after that. Honestly, if her body didn't process the fact that she was being touched she wasn't entirely sure what was going to happen there. "I'm sorry, I really am. I've kinda gotten over the whole fighting and grappling with this...problem of mine. I take that panic and channel it into beating the other guy up. But...ohmygosh, I blanked! "I'm not sure... Not like that?" She'd look down at her. "That will get you killed." Calliope said it plainly, but if some cute villain did the same thing to her, she'd be dead. "You gotta be able to control how you feel a bit better... Emotions have so much power over you." She only hoped that she was okay.

As she started to explain it, Calliope would sit down closeish to her. "Yeah, that's the excitement of a kiss, or other things too. When you're doing all those things with people that you like." She would pull her legs to her chest and just stare in her direction. "That's why people do it. You'll get a tingling feeling in your stomach too, when you are attracted to someone and they grab hold of you- it's an addicting feeling!" Though, she herself hadn't had that too much. "When you kiss your man or whatever, I'm sure it'll be the same. If you freak out like that though, he may drop your ass."
