Born to a father that had weathered the dawn of quirks to become part of the first generation of Pro Heroes and with a quirk that had the potential to rival his, Drifa Riis seemed set for a bright future. Unfortunately it was not to last. When the man she looked up to was framed for multiple murders Drifa was caught in the controversy like a twig in a snowdrift, utterly powerless to do anything as she watched her family collapse around her. She didn't believe the accusations for even a second but society did not share her opinion. Her father was condemned, retired and sank into a deep depression. She couldn't bear to watch it. Distancing herself from her family Drifa trained, prepared and finally enrolled in UAU the moment she turned eighteen.
To blend in better she changed her name from Drifa to Saku almost the moment she arrived in Japan. The time had come to make her talents bloom so that she could gain the strength to go against those that had brought her family low. No matter what the cost was.
Then, something happened that made her reconsider her extremist stance. Saku met someone she fell deeply in love with and by the time she graduated from UAU they had two children, Ageru and Yuika. Not to mention she became good friends with Ismini Demetria, a support pillar she could lean on. Her goals did not change but she certainly began to mellow out, the edge melting away to reveal a softer personality and with her graduation she changed her name further, this time to Jusou Saku. This time the reason was twofold. First, to protect her new family from the legacy carried by the Riis family and secondly to on the surface disconnect fully from them while she joined Bansho to further investigate matters behind the scenes.
For several years Saku made progress. Then calamity struck again. She'd dug too deep into some matters and the consequences caught up to her. At the same time as Ismini came under attack Saku herself was waylaid and far too late to assist. Whether the two matters were connected or not could not be said for sure yet one thing revealed itself when the dust settled. Saku's own family had been struck too. Her daughter Ageru would never reach her full potential even if she remained physically unscathed. In her panic Saku made the decision to officially retire, separated from her family once more to prevent them from being targets and joined In'ei instead.
For the next ten years she traveled the world chasing leads and taking down villains like a woman possessed. Acting as a 'vigilante' she switched identities time and time again to throw anyone off her trail, vanishing off the map while pursuing justice her own way. During her personal crusade against evil she met many enemies and allies alike, some of which she briefly cooperated with before parting ways like Kokoro and others such as Auden Verchetty and Mark Browning which she guided towards acquaintances better suited to assist them. Always her true enemies and the truth alike stayed one step ahead but Saku did not let it discourage her, for so often as she left a place she could see that it was better than before she'd arrived. That more than anything else kept her going.
Yet she was but one person and could not be everywhere. Every place she went meant another was left ignored and by the time she heard what had been going on back home it was far too late to help. Her husband passed away leaving their children to fend for themselves, Ageru had caught up in Dream World and ended up in jail while Yuika seemed to be on a trajectory to repeat the mistakes she'd once made. The reasons she left no longer held up.
It was time to return and face the mistakes of her past.

QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Cold Front is a quirk that combines air and cold manipulation. Through her ability to manipulate air Saku is capable of creating wind, gale and storm alike. Furthermore Saku is able to reduce the temperature of her wind, either wholly or partially. Should she focus her cold manipulation she is able to freeze moisture gathered by her wind into a limited amount of shapes such as sharp shards, hailstones or snow.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: The energy required for Saku to manipulate wind increases greatly if she has to start from nothing, the calmer the air around her the longer it will take for her quirk to ramp up. Indoors she is usually far weaker than outdoors as a result. In a similar vein Saku can only use her cold manipulation on her wind and freeze things through said wind, she cannot freeze things directly.
Furthermore the warmer something is the more time it takes to freeze. The precision by which Saku can employ her ability to reduce temperature decreases with range, given that she can only exert so much energy at a time this makes it so that creating frozen projectiles needs to be done at a relatively close range.
