A newly long awaited sequels of the classics, Road Fighter 6, is finally on the market!

Without giving it a thought, including the fact that if she bought it that means she need to survive the whole month with a meager food, Zahra quickly buy it and goes to the communal space of the dorm and start to test it a bit on her notebook. There are many different features that make her eyes sparkles feeling excited especially when she open the character creation screen. Games are great where there is a character customization and the customization is quite in-depth like this game. She takes a while on designing her own character, going back and forth; sometimes giggles with her own antique on the creation process. At this point she takes more time on character creation than the fighting game itself. She didn't noticed that someone is putting their eyes on her.

[attr="class","skullbody"]To say Thea had a shell was an understatement. She carried on her armor that stopped anyone from getting in without cause, fortune, or circumstances. She was also never the kinda to socialize with people directly, though there were a handful of rare exceptions. Farrin was one, Somehow she felt comfortable talking with him, that factoid bothered her to no end. Then there was any situation involving Fighting games. Thea fucking loves fighting games, though not for any reason other than putting her opponents down. She loved making other people feel worse. [break][break]

She'd been following the news of Road Fighter 6 and its release for some time. She played the demo when there was time but struggled to get around to buying the game. She didn't much like online play, and it's not like anyone at UAU was a fan of fighting games. At least not anyone she knew. It wasn't until the evening when she planned to go for a stroll, that she passed through the common area. Only then did she see it on the Tv. Someone else was apparently a fan of the genre too, though from what she was able to see, more a fan of the customization than anything else. She paused for a moment, considering if it was worth the interaction to ask to play. She cursed under her breath as she realized there might not be another chance at this gods forsaken school. She walked up to the stranger.[break][break]

“Hey, you want to go a few rounds?” She was hoping for a yes. Even if only one match to scratch that itch.[break]

She was engrossed on the character so much that she got startled when someone strikes a conversation with her. Enough to make her almost throw the controller on her hand but manage to catch it on the last minute "Anjing^(*) you scare the hell out of me" Zahra turn to realize a rather exotic looking girl standing right in front of her. "A round sure? Let me grab another controller first" Zahra answer the request from the girl. Having someone to play it would be fun as heck. while she is not the greatest gamer out there but she can be quite competitive. Despite on what she just said, there is not sign of her standing up and walk back to her room. All she did is playing with her notebook until suddenly a 10ft Daedalus walks slowly toward to where they are with a controller dangles on its hand.

"Thanks Daedalus" Zahra shows her gratitude toward the robot suit that she made her own as if it has a real feeling. "Here, take a comfortable spot for you to seat and let's play. By the way, Zahra is the name Road Fighter is the game. What is your name?" Zahra asks as she change the mode into multiplayer so she can start playing.

There was no need for a name when a single touch gave you access to a person's mind, or as some chose to see it, their soul. She never much liked her name. In many ways, she found it difficult to even say the words, like the syllables were never meant to fit together in that order, like somehow her mind was made to forget the sound. [break][break]

"I'm Thea," She said like usual. It wasn't her given name. In some ways, it was a little lie she told herself and the world. Easier to be Thea than Mattea she gathered, though she didn't know why.[break][break]

Her eyes shifted to the controller, the hollow orbs casting judgment on the choice of input she was offered. "Uh, thanks but like, I have my own controller. Let me go get that instead." She ran off to her room, returning with a small rectangular bag and plopping on the couch next to Zahra. Carefully Thea removed the controller from its enclosure. Twelve buttons in an arcade-style arrangement with inlaid art of a girl spinning YoYos around. She smiled slightly at the device before plugging a cable into the box and then handing the other end to Zahra. "Mind plugging me in?"[break][break]

Almost reflexively, she began tapping against the device, a rhythmic clicking came from the buttons as she checked them and rehearsed practiced inputs. Clearly, she'd done this before. Clearly, she knew what she was doing. "I haven't played this one yet," She lied again. "Go easy on me, will ya?"[break][break]

Refusing her kindness is one thing that she can easily dismiss it but the fact that her stomach is currently churning that means one thing and that is Thea is lying. The timing of the pain and the last short sentence that Thea just said to her make her speculates that this is not her first time playing this game. She has learn partially about her experience back in the orientation and decide to spare some simple claim "Don't lie" Zahra warns as she is plugging Thea's controller in and start multiplayer game.

"Well putting that aside, which characters you are going to use?" Zahra strikes a small conversation as she hovers her character between Ryu, Zangief, and Juri. Zahra didn't have any favorite character so she decides to pick any character that catch her interests at that time.

To say it caught her off guard was putting it lightly; she was taken aback entirely. “Oh, I'm sorry,” she wasn't. “I was just trying to put you off your game.” At least that much was true.[break][break]

She already knew what character she was going to play. Juri was in this edition, and there was no character that resonated with her more than the chi stealing sadist. Obviously, she saw the red flags in that comparison. Both thieves, both had a mean streak a mile wide. She didn't care; it was the only character she really wanted to play, at least in Road Fighter. “I'm a Juri main. Been playing her since she was first added to the game.” Technically, that was true, but only because one of her stolen memories came from a Juri main who did play way back when she was added. “But honestly, I'm much more into games Like Geared Guild and Under Birth in Night: Reloaded.” There was just something about anime fighters that did it for her. Most other games felt too stiff.[break][break]

She selected her character and went through the process of remapping her controls and choosing an outfit and color. “So who do you main?”[break][break]

Poor attempt on trying to put off my guard, lol Zahra snicker while talking internet lingo out loud unironically. Juri, huh? I see so you like a mentally deranged girl. Based Zahra nods as she finally stop on Cammy as her pick. She never had. As they picked their fighter; the game is starting and their respective character is now facing each other.

I main any hot girls that I can find. Which makes it hard Zahra claims as she moves her character back and forth without any clear intention and the she tries to press random button to create a random sequence of action. Zahra... doesn't know what she is doing but she is going to learn as she plays. A trial and error approach is always her tactic

She could never forget a lie and she could always take the truth from someone, so she never really learned how to deal with baking caught in her lies. Fortunately, when it came to a fighting game, that didn't matter and she kinda liked being called 'based'[break][break]

"Cammy is pretty hot." She said in approval of her opponent's pick. Though the matching of controls immediately crushed any approval she felt toward Zahra's choice. "Oh, how don't know what your doing, do you?" She said as she pressed a signal button and the words 'Critical Punish' came on the screen. From memory, she performed a series of inputs that would end in a super move. "If you want, I can teach you. If not, this is going to be... painful"

With the lack of better word, yes. Technically, this is my first time on this franchise. More often I just watch the gameplay on YouTube Zahra confess about her lack of skill on the game as she is now currently spamming a single move to Thea without any sense of combo to it. While it was fun at the beginning, a repeated action of movement made it a bit boring until Thea suddenly offer a teaching session, Zahra brights up upon the offer. Well not really the best auditory learner but more of learning through action. We can play some rounds and I will try to diversivy my movement and learn from your play Zahra calmly say and decide to scrutinize more on how Thea is playing
