Sousuke is a quiet person, his mutism the main source of it. Used to sitting at the back of people's minds, he's content with just listening to the conversations that happen around him, taking mental notes in case his presence is acknowledged. Until he's no longer content in taking a passive role and throws a pebble in someone's face to get their attention.
He's frustrated at being born to a world where not many people will understand him. He knows it's no one's fault - that it's just the cards he was dealt - but it doesn't change how impossible it feels for him to befriend others. Try as he might at being kind, he's convinced himself that his family will be the only people he'll ever be close to.
Which translates to how well he does at his job. Sousuke has an impressive work ethic, able to focus almost single-mindedly on whatever task is set before him. Distractions don't impede his goal, whether it is to teach a class or pay special attention to a struggling student.
Overall he feels he has no trouble gaining acquaintances, but doesn't expect friendship to ever be on the table.

Sousuke's avian genes have kept him on the small side despite his father's imposing stature and his mother's more normal height. He's unassuming overall, with short brown hair and brown eyes. His muscle may surprise some as his fighting background isn't evident unless he's seen teaching classes in his family's dojo, but other than that he's your average young adult.
If you ignore the mass of feathers on his back that is.
Sousuke has wings that span double his height when fully spread. Brown with specks of black and white, they resemble that of a sparrow, which inspired the name of his Quirk. His clothes always accommodate them; with all his shirts and long sleeves having slits on his back for his wings to go through.

The Sunstrike Dojo was a place run by the Eisen family for generations. It was known to work with some of the most skilled martial artists in their time, walls decorated with their students' achievements and awards. Their success was the envy of their area.
And just like some other businesses, it nearly went under when Quirks manifested.
Criminals with too much power in their hands tried to take everything. "Heroes" without limitations caused more problems than solved them. The world was in a state of disarray, but with enough tenacity and quick-thinking, the dojo adapted and reached new heights as it specialized in training those with mutations that altered their body.
This was the story Sousuke was told when he was old enough to talk. Well, understand. Early on it was discovered the small sparrow was born mute, unable to verbally speak his thoughts.
But that didn't matter to his father. He saw great things in his eldest son, thinking him capable of taking over the dojo once he was ready. The potential was there; he was a fast learner, besting other students his age with swift strikes and wing sweeps. Just a few more years and he was confident in retiring so his son can push the dojo further himself.
Did Sousuke want that though? He wasn't sure yet, not exactly seeing himself as leader material. For now he was satisfied with tending to the dojo's gardens and helping train the youth in their craft.
Only time will tell if that will eventually amount to more.

Sousuke possesses a pair of sparrow wings that makes him capable of flight. When flexed a certain way, their durability transforms to that of the Quirk's rank and their sharpness increases, making them effective cutting tools.
drawbacks
When his wings' steel aspect is active, he loses his flight. He can't lift off or he drops like a rock depending on when he activates them.
His wings may be durable, but the rest of Sousuke is not. Not reacting fast enough to block hits with them could spell disaster for him.
His ability to fly becomes compromised when faced with strong winds.
