Overview
No matter where he goes, Hyousuke's energy never seems to fade or falter. A ray of sunshine given human form, he's rarely seen without a smile - and even then, it's usually only because he's deep in thought about something. Whether it's a social event with throngs of people at every turn, or a more subdued get-together between friends, you can count on Hyousuke to turn up and act friendly. But are smiles and sunshine really all to be seen of him? Or does his exuberant personality mask deeply-rooted fears and doubts that he doesn't dare to unearth, for fear of what others might find out?
Friends
Making friends with Hyousuke isn't difficult. He's a rather sociable individual that's more given to making allies than enemies. Spend even an hour with him, and he'll likely be inviting you to a party the following weekend. However, as easy as it is for him to make friends, nobody really seems to know him. Regardless of how much time that they spend with him, or what they talk about, it's rare for him to give more than superficial details to anyone regarding his personal life. Few have noticed this though, and fewer still pay it any mind.
Lovers
Having spent half of his life chasing his parents' love, and the other half resigned to the knowledge that he'll never attain it, it's fair to say that Hyousuke doesn't have a good handle on what real love even is. It's a complicated emotion that he's long since stopped paying any mind to, wanting instead to focus on his career and education, rather than something he feels simply isn't worth the effort. However, that's not to say that someone can't worm their way into his heart - they'd just have to be very patient, and very persistent.
Enemies
Small slights don't really bother Hyousuke. Chances are, he's had worse said or done to him, and he's willing to let bygones be bygones if the other person is genuinely sorry. Even if someone isn't willing to make it up to him, he'll attempt to brush it all off and move on with his life, feeling that he's got better things to do than get hung up on someone that he likely won't be seeing much of. Wrong him severely enough, however, and he'll bear a grudge that will be taken to his grave. He doesn't forgive easy, and certainly won't forget.
