Zaya let out a weak smile as Jun happily offered her assistance. Sure, it’d mean more annoying training sessions…But sometimes that was better than staying alone in her room. When she was full on energy, at least. And speaking of energy, hers was starting to get low. With no food and no chance to drain anyone recently, her legs were feeling heavier by the second.
“I appreciate that, Jun. I know I’ve got a long way to go with this quirk…Its strong and all, and I’m fairly certain I’m good on my own in a fight, but I guess my teamwork using it needs help.” Zaya’s view of heroes was far different than the picture that was likely in Jun’s head; She saw them less as protectors of the innocent, and more akin to movie stars and celebrities; Mostly going for glory and fame.
As she talked, the teen let out a long and tired sounding yawn.
“Um, but…I think I need a recharge pretty soon-ish. You mind if we head back to the dorms? I’m getting exhausted and my quirk is the kind that can’t exactly be turned off…” The annoyed monotone in her voice was starting to return, and though she didn’t mean it, she was starting to rude.
“So…Before I collapse, can we…” She pointed a thumb towards the dorms. She could feel her emotional batteries nearing empty, so not only did she want physical rest, but she wanted to get home and away from Jun quickly; The more drained she was, the less emotion she could put into conversations, and unlike most people she’d met, she actually LIKED Jun, and wanted to stay on her good side.
