Choosing to not conceal his identity as a vigilante is only a testament to how much love and pride he has for his gang the Hummingbirds. His right arm is entirely prosthetic and it's just as durable as it looks. On the left side of his abs he has a tattoo of a hummingbird, any longtime member of the gang has one to show their commitment to the cause. Although he dresses like a punk, Eiji also likes to dabble in accessories, piercings, earrings, necklaces and rings, nothing is off limits.

Don't remember squat from before the Hummingbirds took me in. Guess I was roaming the streets or something and then they noticed me and brought me to safety. That's right, raised by a gang of all things. Society would think it's totally insane, but it's not accurate to call the Hummingbirds a gang, we're more like family. Not all the members of the Hummingbirds are fighters either, some are doctors, mechanics, teachers, painters, mothers, fathers or even orphans like myself. With that being said, I knew from a young age that I wanted to fight. That I wanted to harness the hell out of my flames so that I could use them to protect our community.
I was raised in that abandoned theme park in Shinjuku same as all the other kids the Birds took in. Like bean for instance. Me and 'em we're around the same age, had the same teachers and grew up playing on the dilapidated carrousel together. At around the age of sixteen I started making big waves in our community. Back then a famine was sweeping through our home. A rival gang called the Spiders had backed us into a corner, but I wasn't amount to let that get to me. Apparently I helped uplift the spirits of everyone by doing what I do best. Being a loud idiot who speaks his mind. After that incident some of the other members started calling me Boss, even the ones that are older or stronger than me. I'm not even the leader of the gang, but the actual leader seemed to like it.
So much so that I was promoted to a higher position and named the Heart of the Hummingbirds. As the Heart, I take my job seriously and I'm ready to protect my home from anyone who tries to take it away from us. Villains, heroes, vigilantes? If they oppose my family they're all the same to me.
