The back alleys reek of death, plastic blanketing horrible sins that have been thrown out and been forgotten. Ivory teeth are tainted black with time, dried tongues no longer able to lick the blood crusted upon bruised lips. Burning the sight into the depths of her memories, the remnants of a shredded cover are dripped back onto the body, sticking with the nauseating rot that's birthed from inside out.[break][break]

It's the fifth one this week, a poor American Foxhound that's succumbed to the canvas of wounds painted all across its body. Jagged bites that tear at the flesh, deep scratches that have ripped out its senses and rendered it unable to take another step. Its chest is a frame of bones, its stomach just barely pronouncing the curves of the organs within.

Pulling away allows her a moment to gaze towards the midnight sky, the welcoming glow of moonlight denied by the layout of this damned concrete jungle. And in the silence that might sit between the two wanderers, she'll break this fragile moment with a shaky breath.[break][break]

In the brief moments where she leads them to stand before the gaping maws of this underground fighting ring, Cepheid will turn her attention to the man beside her. He wouldn't be in the business if he were a coward. Kyuuby looked at the other vigilante like she had just insulted his family. He pulled out his knife and pressed the release, causing the integrated siringe to unlock and be on the ready. "I'm no pussy and no stranger to bloody street fights. Besides what help would it be if I ran away."

He spun around once, showing off his well toned body as it was tightly hugged by the bodysuit he was wearing. He didn't need extra protection when he would transform into other people in any case. "Not to mention that between me and you, I'm the one with fang and claws. I'm getting those fuckers. Either they comply or I'll make sure they feel the pain they inflict on poor things back in full."

While he tried to bring people back alive, or at least tie them up nice and cozy for the police, there was always the risk of one or two people being a little too feisty for their own good. He was ready to kill, as he vowed when he cast his normal life away and decided to wear the mask on his face that very moment. That being said, he certainly didn't go out his way to kill. That was a line that once crossed would never be uncrossed again and he would hope to not stoop so low as to have to resort to the same methods most villains found most easy to adopt.

"Lead the way, just know that I may change shape and size around there. If you hear someone mentioning apples, it's me. Normally i'd ask a sample of your blood as well, but I have no idea what your powers do, so I'd rather not risk it."

His advantage of fang and claws won't count for much in the long run, but she'll let him have it for now. After all, he's just about raring to go and she really wouldn't want him wasting energy against her. Though, she does wonder if she should've asked someone less volatile, to avoid setting off the victims waiting to be rescued and all.[break][break]

"It's better if you don't. My blood doesn't mix well with others." Clarification comes with agreement, the details of her quirk kept under wraps as she begins their descent. And how delightful it is to be able to slip right in, her mask a dead ringer for just about that of anyone else's in the room.[break][break]

Should she have filled him in on her call sign? Perhaps, slipped her own version of 'apples' so he knows to avoid clashing with her. No matter, they'll cross that bridge when they have to. For now, her eyes are kept on the stage, beholding the bright blooms of red that colour the arena floor. The scent of cheap booze is thick with merriment, colourful notes passed around as people roar out the odds.[break][break]

Yuma pulled his mask up a little bit more. So, first of all he needed to find out where the bad guys held and kept the dogs, because their first concern would be to free the critters more than smash faces in. Though he wouldn't mind that, he would have to consider making sure he could let his buddy in crime do her own job without too much impedement.

A nod and the would be fox slinked back in the crowd, which was actually quite the feat for someone with bright yellow fur. Sure, most of it was covered in a skin tight tactical bodysuit and all that, boots squealing lightly as the rubber soles flexed as he went about through the people there. He needed to find someplace more secluded and... well... wait for his first victim. Extract some of their blood, transform and then head further in. That all the while keeping an eye out for the actions of his partner.

The first spot he would check would be the bathrooms. Not the stalls themselves, but the area around it. Usually its somewhat secluded in those kinda places. Not too many guards either. I mean, if he found any air vents large enough to squeeze in all the better.

Didn't look like there was much stuff he could use there, so he could probably start circling the arena and find either a staff door or something like it. There was bound to be an exit for light technicians and escape routes in case the police showed up... or heroes too.
