A blessed morn for an even more so blessed day — thought the most unholy of souls. Not for doing anything wrong per se, no he was much too silly for such a thing, but for being a truly horrific type of existential punishment. Or, well, that was how a former therapist had described it — much too dreary for the sinner's taste! No indeed, this sinner — one "Dr. Dandy" — couldn't imagine a life without the hive! From time to time, the thought of what others' existence functioned crossed his mind; similarly to how others saw his, he couldn't picture theirs as anything but a horror!

...Though, perhaps more tranquil.

But no use to dwell! No, his lot was such, and he'd most certainly relished the experience for what it was worth — in this instance, the wonders of a shared mind: a taste for one was known by the entire hive! It would be, quite literally, sharing the taste with himself! No other single-minded beings could do that, now could they!

And that was how Dandy found himself at a place yet unknown to him; a coffee shop he'd never once stepped foot inside — a "Sweet-Stop"? Unfamiliar, sure, but with such a promising name, he simply must give it a chance! And besides — if there was anyone to judge the quality of something dubbed "sweet," it would have to be him!

The first word that came to the courier's mind was "quaint." The establishment wasn't large or even fanciful by any means, and perhaps that was the intention behind its design, but it held about itself a quaint air of comfort and simplicity; most enticing were the seats along the window side outer walls, as their extended ledge and stools offered a preferably alluring view of the world going by. Speaking of, in a cafe offering what appeared to be a multitude of options — both in the form of beverages and other appealing options, such as pastries and sweets — a newcomer such as he had little clue of where best to start!

Though of course, given that same status, it wasn't as though he had anyone credible to ask. So instead, he leaned over the most immediate option: a woman sat along the window side, who likely grabbed Dandy's attention through their distinctive pink hair and protruding horns.

"I do beg your pardon," the man began, leaning in slightly, though he maintained distance lest he encroached upon her desired space. "But would you happen to be a regular here? I'm certainly one for trying new things, I assure you that, but I could most certainly do with advice."

[Kazashi McCoy]

Kazashi loved coming to this coffeeshop because it was so quaint. A small place, away from the busiest streets and just outside of the public eye, or the eyes of nosey journalists anyway. She had told a lot of people in her private life that she was pregnant, but on the hero front? Well, she obviously wasn't working the same hours as usual, but she hadn't exactly gone on her social media post to blare it out to the public either. Of course, rumors still circulated, why wouldn't they? Kazashi was a married young woman, people probably only thought it was natural. Still, she would prefer to keep the journalists off her back as much as possible, especially when she just needed a quiet day to herself.

With one hand around her cup of hot chocolate she stared out the window absentmindedly, it wasn't until someone talked to her that her attention shifted to the gentleman that approached her. She blinked her eyes, immediately surprised by what she assumed to be his very striking mutations. Ironic because she was used to getting looks for her horns. ''Somewhat.'' She said, then took another look at him. He didn't look like one of those nosey journalists, or if he was he was doing a very good job at hiding it. ''Ah'm no expert, but Ah'll do my best, what're ya needin' advice with?'' She smiled and gestured to the seat in front of her, encouraging him to sit down with her if he felt so inclined.

''Name's Kazashi by the way, but most people call me Kaz.'' She had a heavy country accent. Despite having adapted to the city life quite well, to the point that she would call herself a city girl, she still couldn't change where she was raised.
