Early Life
The Rokuhane clan is a respected name in the hero field. Her father and siblings all share the same quirk, the powerful ability to create and control electricity. Originally, her parents believed her to be quirkless, and made no bones about informing their young daughter just how big of a disappointment she was. In time, her real quirk was identified- and very little changed. All of her hero relatives could not only control electricity, but generate it as well, something she was completely unable to do, leaving her essentially quirkless without a power source of some kind when she was younger. Unable to wrest control of the electricity her siblings created from them, shocking pranks and torments were common in her younger years.
This abuse eroded her self-esteem terribly. While she retains her determination and strong morals, Miroru's belief that her health is a thing worth preserving is nearly non-existent, reduced to a currency she spends in pursuit of proving herself to her family. She's overcome her shortcomings thus far with a dearth of hard work and clever approaches, from exploring the edges of her quirk's capabilities to supplementing them with personal research into the science of its function and dedicated studies to bolster her grades and secure a chance to test into UA.
Miroru masks her low self-worth behind her work ethic and vocal displays of intelligence. The face she presents to others is just one of many hard-working, determined students seeking to prove themselves. It's not that she's willing to risk herself that sets her apart from her more reasonable classmates- it's in what she's willing to risk that her lack of self-regard can be read between the lines.

DESCRIPTION: Power Prism allows the user to sense and control the electromagnetic spectrum within a certain distance, allowing the user to manipulate EM forces in whatever state they currently exist. By drawing these forces into the body, it also allows them to be translated from one variant into another- electricity can be converted directly into radio signals, gamma rays could be converted into a magnetic field, and anything in between.
What Power Prism does NOT do is generate energy from nothing. It is unable to function outside of the strict limitations of directing or converting the energies over which it has domain.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: As Power Prism is used, it builds up heat in Miroru's wrists, slowly boiling the blood in her veins as it moves back up her arms. Her cardiovascular system is mercifully resistant to the heat itself, but this is unfortunately accomplished by being so extremely heat conductive as to pass the heat directly into the surrounding flesh. Overuse can and will cause burns tracing her vascular network up her arms and towards her heart. While it, too, is unaffected by this heat, once reaching her heart, the superheated blood will be distributed to her body's organs, which do not enjoy that same protection.
